New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg, is back with a heartfelt, standalone romance and a new hero to steal your heart . . . The contract with Major League Soccer was supposed to help repair my damaged reputation. Then I discovered that I’d made a deal with the devil: the player I’m supposed to recruit is none other than the bad boy, star Premier League footballer, Rush McKenzie. … boy, star Premier League footballer, Rush McKenzie.
British. Tattooed. Sexy. A man currently at the center of a huge scandal.
The goal? To convince him to stay in the States.
But what’s wrong with a little fun in the meantime? No strings. No sweet nothings. Just a way to pass the time while we’re both struggling to prove our true selves to the world.
If someone found out our relationship was anything more than professional, it would only serve to prove all our critics right.

I never should have agreed to take the fall.
But I did and I’m a man of my word.
Even if it means risking everything I’ve worked for.
The only bright side is Lennox Kincade.
Gorgeous. Defiant. Rumor-tainted. Totally off-limits.
Sharing a house with the gorgeous sports agent should have been a fun distraction from the turmoil. Someone to help pass the time while the tensions back home die down.
But what started as nothing, ends up as something I never saw coming.
Are you ready to fall for the Kincade sisters and then men who love them in K. Bromberg’s sexy, contemporary, sports romance series? These books can all be read as standalones, but you’ll enjoy reading them as a series!

Both Rush and Lennox find themselves at a crossroads, both professionally and personally. Football star Rush is waiting to hear from his team about whether his contract will be renewed after an alleged affair with a teammate’s wife. Lennox has escaped to California after hearing a group of her fellow sports agents accuse her of acquiring potential clients by sleeping with them. Neither of them feels they have support from family and friends in their current situations. Rush and Lennox are immediately drawn to each other. Given that they live in two different countries, have they come into each others’ lives for a season or a reason?
I loved Lennox! She’s a passionate free spirit who goes after what she wants, with no shame. You could easily see why Rush would be so drawn to her. She quiets the storm within and around him. She shows the sexy, loyal footballer that he’s worth fighting for. And Rush does the same for her. With the combination of their hot chemistry with their banter, Rush and Lennox are a couple that you can’t get enough of!
I enjoyed seeing more of Kenyon Kincade, the family patriarch, in this book. His special relationship with Lennox is evident. As a daddy’s girl, I appreciated the way he supports and encourages her, even when she doesn’t always recognize what he’s doing for her at the time. All of the sisters are involved in giving Lennox advice and helping her figure out how to make what her heart wants possible. Hunter’s cameo is a great addition; I loved seeing him again and having him provide Rush with advice.
I’m not sure which sister is next, but the first two stories have been excellent. I can’t wait to read the next one!
I volunteered to provide an honest, unbiased review of an early copy of this book.
„You are worth fighting for.”
K. Bromberg is seriously killing it with this series of standalones! I loved Hard to Handle, but this one? Hard to Hold is simply magnificent! This sports romance is filled with such chemistry that you can feel the sparks flying everywhere. Rush and Lennox brought so much heat that I needed to fan myself all the damn time, and the growing intimacy between them turned me into the puddle of mush. I loved everything about this book!
Lennox instantly won my admiration with her no-nonsense approach. She’s fun, feisty and she goes after what she wants without fear or remorse. Despite the fact that she works in a business dominated by men, she’s determined, relentless and confident, even when she faces challenges that are difficult to cross.
Rush seems to be a poster bad boy who lives to tease, flirt and rebel, but there’s so much more to him that meets the eye. The facade that others see doesn’t allow anyone to get too close and get to know this selfless, caring and loving guy. He’s thoughtful, devoted and so fun to be around! I love him!
Even though these two come from different worlds, they are very much alike. They are both determined and hard-working. They are both victims of assumptions and judgment. They also both keep their distance when it comes to their love life. But these similarities make them understand each other perfectly and make them fit together so much. I loved watching their relationship evolve and how they slowly gained mutual trust. This couple brought swoons, entertainment and so much steam!
Hard to Hold is a perfect sports romance that’s both hot and emotional. K. Bromberg did a stellar job with creating strong and feisty heroine as well as charming and irresistible hero. Their story is captivating, poignant and sexy as hell and I couldn’t ask for more. I cannot wait to read next stories about the other Kincade sisters!
I loved Hard to Hold so much. I was just drawn in by Rush and Lennox. Rush is taking a break and hiding from the rumors about him. Lennox is running from her family to prove she can do her job well. There is just such chemistry between Lennox and Rush that you will not be able to look away. Lennox is the free spirit of the Kincade sisters. She is smarter then people give her credit for and knows how to handle Rush. Rush is waiting for everything to blow over so he can return to his team. He is this amazing guy beyond the rumors. I couldn’t get enough of Hard to Hold. Rush and Lennox are everything.
This is the second book in the Play Hard series. This is Lennox Kincade’s story. She’s trying to settle herself down when she overhears her fellow agents at a conference saying horrible things about how she scores her clients. She’s having self doubt about her abilities no thanks to her family, either. So she decides an escape to her long time friend Johnny in California will help. But she has the shock of her life once she gets there, Rush McKenzie, the Liverpool soccer star.
Rush is running away, too. He is submerged in a heck of a scandal back in England involving his teammate and his teammate’s wife. So instead of battling the rumors head on, his agent had him leave England until things settle down. Now he’s here in California, but he’s not alone.
Rush and Lennox’s story is a slow burn fire ready to ignite. And once it does, wow! They discover things in each other they never knew they needed to be whole. Their story is about hope and trust and taking chances. It’s another perfect romance written by an amazing author. Can’t wait to read the rest of the Kincade sister’s romances.
Hard to Hold is the second book in the Play Hard series by K. Bromberg and this is the story of Lennox and Rush. If you read the first book in this series, you know this series is about 4 sisters trying to be their best sport agents in a mens world. They work for his dad company and they want to have the best clients that they can find. Then we have Rush who the only family he had was his mom but she is not more there with him. So he doesnt trust in anyone but have a good friend for the one he will do everything he can.
The story start when Lennox thinks his family doesn’t trust her and that’s why she take a side job in LA that is relate to soccer and in this opportunity she find herself working with Rush, their chemistry is AMAZING! but not everything will be easy. Rush agent is their archienemy of Lennox and her sisters. and because is a world of men she needs to prove that she is good at his job but at the same time that she doesnt get her clients just for her pretty face.
When Rush go to hide in LA he doesnt expect to meet Lennox and all the chemistry that they have to be off the charts. Both know things can be really serious because he plays in Liverpool and she lives in the USA, so they do if they start something they have a deadline for the same.
The question is will both risk to have something when they can both get hurt??? Will they find a way to have their HEA?? If you want to know more about their story you need to read it as soon as is available!
IF you love sport romance and a really sexy british soccer player you need to read this book!! you will love it!!
4.25 stars! Rush is mine!
Loved Lennox and Rush! They were perfect together! It was a lighthearted, enjoyable read. The witty banter and the hot sex scenes were everything! I was smiling and swooning so often. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is I wanted a bit more angst and more from the epilogue. I am really loving this series and I can’t wait for the last two books!
Rush is my new favourite!!!!!
We are back with the ladies (and Dad!) of Kincade Sports Management and it’s Lennox’s turn at a HEA.
We find out so much more about this middle sister and I love getting into her story and how she finds being an attractive woman in a male-dominated career. Kristy touched on some sensitive topics and did it with class.
Rush’s back story damn near broke my heart. Seeing how badly he wanted his life to turn around and how he did it was awe inspiring. The man he has grown up to be is living his best life…..well, almost.
I loved seeing these two in their element and the chemistry between them was OFF THE CHARTS!! A wonderful ride of finding the one who quiets the restlessness and makes you the best version of yourself.
Hard to Hold (Book 2 in the Play Hard series) is just as enjoyable, hot and steamy as the first book!
I love a story with a strong heroine and Lennox is definitely that even if she doubts herself at times. She is a woman working in a man’s world and has to work twice as hard to earn the respect she deserves.
Rush has been dealt a bad hand many times during his life but this one is messing up his career, but no one knows the real reason for this one and he doesn’t feel like he has anyone he can truly trust.
There is so much more to both Rush and Lennox than just pretty faces. Both are misunderstood and keep so much hidden. They certainly have chemistry but can they find a way to be open and honest with each other and finally find the happiness they both deserve? I hope they take the chance!!
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is my second book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. My first book (Dekker and Hunter) was the first one in this series about sister sports agents and this second book features the sister Lennox, a former beauty queen and now sports agent. She is a character that leads with her heart though that can get messy in relation to dealing with sexy sports stars.
Lennox, the Beauty Queen between the Kincade’s sisters, and Rush, a brit’s premier league star, dealing with a scandal by laying low in the US. If you read the first book, you meet rival sports agent, Finn who is a HUGE jerk and also her sisters ex. Nox is in Vegas at a conference and Finn is a huge jerk to her and causes her to question her sisters and how they treat her and the opportunities that come her way. One is about a job in LA and so after Vegas she decides to head to LA and her best friend Johnny’s home.
There she runs into a naked man and I adored this first meeting between Nox and the sexy, Rush who is hiding out in LA at Johnny’s house too to escape a scandal in England. These two end up living and working together and they are so fun to watch as they fight the chemistry but cannot resist each other.
I really loved this romance between Nox and Johnny . They find really something wonderful as they get to know each other. I loved how they really support each other and believe in each other and form such an awesome team. I am really enjoying this series and cannot wait for the next book in this series.
Who doesn’t love a book from K.Bromberg, Hard to Hold will not disappoint. Rush McKenzie, the tattoo, British, bad boy soccer star, and Lennox Kincaid, the beauty queen, sports agent will heat up your kindle.
Rush is in America to take a break from a scandal that has rocked his premier football team and Lennox, she needs a break from her day to day of her job. They both meet in LA while staying with their mutual friend, Johnny.
Her first assignment in LA is non other than Rush himself, her job is to sway him to become part of the MLS team in the States. Both of them decide to have a fun, no strings fun, their chemistry if off the charts hot. Their story dealt with so many real life issues, Rush had such a heartbreaking back story of loosing his only parent. Lennox could relate in loosing a mother, she lost hers at a young age as well. Follow these two as they come to trust in others and themselves and fall head over heals in love.
A lire incontestablement .
Rush and Lennox’s souls are wandering towards get other. These two find themselves when they are together and not even a scandal can come between them. Lennox is the beauty queen sister whos trying to make a name for herself while Rush is the sexy British footballer who’s trying to lay low and clear his name. These two are meant for each other. The chemistry if off the charts with them.
Rush and Lennox have exceptional chemistry and good banter. Non of them are lacking in the confidence department. But they could really use a dose of what the other is offering. And in their case, more than they thought they would give.
Rush’s future is on the downfall and he needs someone on his corner. Never thought it would be Lennox with her good instincts and sassy personality. Same as she never thought he would be the one to reassure her when others make her doubt her abilities, calming her restless and wandering soul. This story is sexy, romantic and it has great characters.
I absolutely devoured this book. It was that good. First, Lennox absolutely has my heart and I love everything about her. I felt for her and more than anything I love that while this is absolutely a romance, this is also about her finding herself. And man while she was finding herself she certainly found her perfect match.
Rush is EVERYTHING, a rebel bad boy athlete with an accent but he also has a soft side that will make you melt.
I really liked Hard to Handke, but this Kinkaide sister and her rebel Football player, stole my heart.
This story hit a few unwanted spots in my »armor«. Every single insecurity Lennox felt, I knew the feeling. Its why I loved her so much. It’s never easy trying too hard to fit in but never really do. It takes a toll on a person and that’s why I loved her relationship with Rush.
When they were together it was like watching to butterflies spreading their wings for the first time. While I don’t know what was like for Rush as a child I could relate to him with everything that was going on in his professional career. While he was waiting to see if he’d still have a job at the end of his visit to the State it was driving me crazy too.
I so happy to see this series is still going strong and I can’t wait to see what happens with next Kincade sister and her HEA.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
This is the second book in the Play Hard series and is Lennox and Rush’s story.
Lennox Kincade is a former beauty queen with more than looks, she has a brain and knows how to use it. When she thinks her family is trying to control her, she takes matters into her own hands. She goes to a job interview that her father knew was not right for her but instead of talking to her dad, she heads to L.A. without telling anyone.
If a job sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Rush McKenzie is the bad boy soccer player who is sent to the states because of a scandal in all the papers. But what if the truth is not what it seems? All Rush wants to do is go home and play for Liverpool FC. When he meets Lennox, she is more in tune with him as an agent than his own agent is. When he tells her the truth, she believes him, when his own agent doesn’t.
This story is so good, the chemistry between Lennox and Rush is off the charts, might just set a few kindles on fire. I found that I am loving this series and I can not wait for more. As with any siblings, these sisters are as supportive as they are in each other’s case. They have each other’s backs and are very protective. But they tell it like it is when one sister finds a man and falls in love.
So sit back and enjoy the Kincade sisters in the Play Hard series, I hope you love them too.
**Wicked Reads Review Team**
This book is absolutely gorgeous! I loved everything about it! Lennox and Rush are totally adorable in their own unique ways. With sibling misunderstandings, the moving flashbacks of Rush’s early life, the unremittingly horrible Finn (please let him get his comeuppance!), the unselfish loyalty of Rush and the gentleness and genuine nature of his encounters with young fans, I found myself carried along on the tide of a a delicious, clever, witty romance that has been a total pleasure to read.
Having lived in Kirby for a few months, many years ago, I did, on occasions, impose a thick Liverpudlian accent on Rush, but managed to shake it off, though as a Liverpool supporter, it was great to share that with Rush. Lennox and her sisters are great foils for each other and, as the wanderer of her little tribe, I loved her saying of Rush “He’s the one who quiets my restlessness.” A gorgeous 5 star read!
Lennox Kincade works with her father and three sisters at Kincade Sports Management, but she’s always had a wandering spirit and the instinct to run when things get overwhelming. After hearing her biggest competitor spread a rumor that she seduces potential clients and steals them from their current agents, and feeling lately that her family has no faith in her abilities, Lennox decides to get away and spend time with her best friend Johnny in Los Angeles. But she missed the part of his voice mail telling her he currently has another guest who’s also needing an escape.
Rush McKenzie is keeping a low profile after a scandal that jeopardizes his place on his team with the Liverpool Football Club. He started with nothing but skill and a love of the game and worked his whole life to become a part of the team. His mates are the closest he’s come to having a family since past loss keeps him from letting anyone get too close. Now he’s in the states with a three month contract to promote the Major League Soccer (MLS) club while the paparazzi finds another scandal to chase and his team’s management decides how to handle things.
After a “revealing” meet cute, there’s no questioning the attraction arcing between these two. However, Lennox is supposed to convince Rush to play for the MLS as well signing him with Kincade Sports Management. She has to be professional and resist Rush with his tempting muscles and tattoos and that confident, cocky grin. If she can manage that, well, she’s a better woman than I am.
I was completely taken and excessively swoony over our hero Rush, in all of his iterations. From the poor boy who had lost everything to the kid who worked hard and utilized every bit of his talent, to the cocky, confident soccer star, I adore every part and version of Rush. Lennox has a lot of admirable traits, but she doesn’t stand a chance of resisting Rush, which is good, because they’re so amazingly perfect for each other!
Their story is full of humor and heat, but it’s the overabundance of heart that had me hanging on every word and reading well into the wee hours. It’s an exceptional, entertaining, heartfelt read that will leave your own heart happy and satisfied, so make sure you don’t miss this one!
Where to start and what to say that’s hasn’t already been said about this amazing read!!!
It’s taken me a few days to put the words together for my review of Hard to Hold because this is one of those special reads that stays with you long after you have finished reading. You know a book is special when you are drawn in from the first page and you don’t want the story to ever end, you find yourself engrossed with characters and their journey and you just want more, and that’s exactly how I felt about Lennox Kincaid and Rush McKenzie’s journey.
Lennox is not your typical woman, working as a sports agent means she has learnt to hold her own in the male dominated world around sports but nothing could prepare her for Rush McKenzie.
Rush has escaped to LA because of a scandal in the UK, he needs some positive publicity and the last thing he needs is a relationship but we can’t always control what our hearts want ……
Lennox is everything I would want in a friend, she is sassy, strong and feisty and I fell hard and fast for Rush, I loved joining this couple on their journey, I loved the scorching hot chemistry they shared as well as the witty banter and for me their love story was the perfect romance to take me out of the funk from this crazy year. A new book boyfriend and another book to add to the best reads of 2020, so I guess all I need to say is please one click this gem. Ms Bromberg once again shows us how very talented she is with this beautifully written love story.
