The contract with Major League Soccer was supposed to help repair my damaged reputation. Then I discovered that I’d made a deal with the devil: the player I’m supposed to recruit is none other than the bad boy, star Premier League footballer, Rush McKenzie. … boy, star Premier League footballer, Rush McKenzie.
British. Tattooed. Sexy. A man currently at the center of a huge scandal.
The goal? To convince him to stay in the States.
But what’s wrong with a little fun in the meantime? No strings. No sweet nothings. Just a way to pass the time while we’re both struggling to prove our true selves to the world.
If someone found out our relationship was anything more than professional, it would only serve to prove all our critics right.

“He’s the one who quiets my restlessness.”
Lennox Kincade is one of four sisters working at her fathers sports agency. But she doesn’t feel like she belongs, like she isn’t trusted to do or make decisions when it comes to her job, and struggles with wondering if this is what she really wants to do with her life. She’s restless and just trying to find her place in the world.
Rush McKenzie is a famous football (soccer) player in Liverpool. After a huge scandal, he finds himself lying low in the states. He had a rough upbringing, and has secrets he’s holding onto tight, as trusting others doesn’t come easily for him.
Lennox tried to keep her distance from Rush, but between working together and staying in the same house, plus their undeniable connection and chemistry, there was no way she could stay away for long. Rush is caring, sweet, and a sexy footballer. l fell in love with Rush and Lennox so fast! Both of their characters are strong and amazing and just so perfect for each other. This close proximity, sports romance wound its way to my heart and I absolutely loved it. There was no way these two wouldn’t hit it off, and they did so with a bang!
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
Book 2 in the Play Hard series and the first that I have read. I really enjoyed this book. I was able to follow along with the story without having to read the first book in the series. Rush and Lennox were so good together. The chemistry and attraction between them was so instant from the first time they saw each other at their friend’s pool. Loved their story. It pulls you in from page one and doesn’t let you go until the very last page. Highly recommend this story and all her books. You won’t be disappointed.
Another fabulous read by K.Bromberg. Love hard to Hold. Really enjoyed reading every second. Loved it.
K Bromberg really knows how to write sports romances with depth and this was just that!
Lennox Kincaide was such an amazing character, I loved her strength and like everyone else she has insecurities and I loved that K Bramber showed that. Rush was such a deliciously rugged character, British and broody who wouldn’t love him.
The chemistry between these two was electrifying, and so magnetic. I loved their banter and how they let go infront or each other.
The book deals with secrets and seeing people for who they really are. I also liked how the sports element wasn’t over powering but felt like an organic part of the book. It was also great to see the rest of the girls and I can’t wait for their book. Another hit from miss Bromberg
5 stars Another fantastic book by one of my favorite authors. Rush is a “football” (aka soccer) star who is in the mist of a scandal and comes from the UK to the US. Lennox has always had a wandering heart and after having her self esteem squashed, she runs to her best friend, Johnny’s house… only she wasn’t prepared to find the rebel Rush also hiding out there. This is a fantastic story of two kindred souls that unexpectedly find each other. It also does has some humor mixed in (i.e the horrible sex they keep having). I loved Rush and he is now one of the top 2 heroes of Kristy’s for me.
My gosh! This book took me on an emotional and beautiful adventure. Hard to Hold is my favorite book in this series so far, and I loved every moment of Lennox and Rush’s story.
Both had to move past their fears and stubbornness to realize that they were better together than apart.
I loved how K. Bromberg created Rush to be utterly compassionate and selfless even though his public image portrayed something entirely different. Lennox seeing the real side of Rush caused a deeper connection between the two early on in the book, which was amazing to witness.
Reading about a strong, independent t female character was refreshing and inspiring. Lennox was a powerhouse in this book.
Sport agent Lennox, meet footballer/PR nightmare extraordinaire Rush. Scandalous footballer accused of sleeping with teammate’s wife? No problem … let’s move across the world rooming with a sexy sport agent. Sparks fly, chemistry is off the chart, and insta-attraction. Bonus point – all she wants is flirty, fun, sex with no string attached – easy peasy right? Oh dear, these two did not expect to be hit with a big love bug. They did not see it coming, however the heart wants what it wants. So, we have a love story packed with passion, chemistry, angst, and a whole lot of feels too. Wonderful in-depth characters, a heartwarming love story, and very well-written. Awesome addition to Play Hard series.
I love this series so much! Hard to Hold took me on an emotional journey. This book was packed full of emotions and the intense chemistry between Lennox and Rush.
Lennox has something to prove to herself and her family. So she decides to take a job in LA. She wan not prepared for the sexy British football player.
Rush is so dreamy , he is trying to right his world after a scandal. With hopes he can get his life back on track he heads to LA.
The instant chemistry Lennox and Rush have is something we all want. These two are perfect for each other. K. Bromberg brings ok the angst and pulls at your heart. I loved Hard to Hold and highly recommend it.
This is the second book in the Play Hard series and is Lennox and Rush’s story.
Rush McKenzie – star Premier League footballer, aka, the bad boy soccer player. There is a lot more to Rush than his pretty boy looks. Rush has had a rough past life. All he ever wanted was to play professional football. When it came to paying the fees or eating, he would choose paying the fee to play. When he was a teenager, one of his teammates’ father noticed he never had anyone in the stands cheering him on. The friend’s father took him under his wing so to speak.
Lennox Kincaid is a former beauty queen. Lennox is a sports agent. Although working for her family’s company she doesn’t see much work. They don’t believe in her. She heads to L.A. without telling anyone.
Lennox and Rush are both staying at Johnny’s (a mutual friends) house. Neither knows they will be at the house with Johnny. Lennox and Rush have chemistry that is off the charts. They are both super attracted to each other and even though they try to ‘stop’ they wind up making out all over the friends house.
I’m really enjoying this newest series of books from K Bromberg. Getting to know the Kincades.
This book is Lennox and Rush, who meet through a mutual friend ! The book follows their story and involves the rest of the girls and daddy from KSM. Lennox is not a wallflower, but has a heart of good and trust especially relationship trust doesn’t come easy ! Rush is a famous footballer from the U.K. and has a hard time with trust and loyalty ! Watching the two come together is brilliant !
Love Kristy’s writing style and this book is no exception x

Hard to Hold by K. Bromberg is the second book in the Play Hard Series and this is Lennox and Rush‘s story and I absolutely fell in love with it. This series centers around four sisters and each one gets a book and therefore you can read their stories as a standalone. If you like sports romance you have to check out this series and especially this book.
.
Our protagonist is Lennox who is seen as the beauty of the Kincade sisters and many people only reduce her to this and underestimate her, but she is fierce and passionate and I loved her character. Lennox works as a sports agent and tries to gain a foothold in this, but it is harder than she anticipated and her life is at a crossroads and she just need to go her own way. This brings her to LA where she takes upon a new job and that includes Rush who is also her roommate and the forced proximity brings them closer, but makes everything also a lot more complicated.
.
Rush is our hero and he is a British Bad Boy and soccer player and this sport has his heart. While he appears as charming and easygoing, there is so much more to him and he definitely has a gentle and passionate side. His childhood was also not the easiest and he worked every hard for everything he achieved and never forgot that. At the beginning of the story he is in a scandal and when you figure out what is behind all of that, I just loved him more.
.
Their first encounter was like the best scene ever and afterwards I knew that I could only adore this book. The sparks and chemistry are there from the beginning and it started out very flirty, but the characters quickly approached each other and it grows deeper and deeper with every page.
.
Overall, this is one of the best soccer sports romances I’ve ever read and I love this story and can only recommend it. 5 stars.
(ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.)
I love all things sports romance, add in forced proximity and K. Bromberg’s ability to write an emotional, intense and gripping storyline and I’m in romance heaven!
I need K. Bromberg to never stop writing sports romances. She is my top author for them and this one? Yep a total knock out fo the park.
Lennox and Rush were addictive. I knew I loved them from he very second but once I got into this book there was no turning back.
This book was a slow burn but also completely not. I can’t explain it. We had a girl who didn’t want to commit and an athlete who was all about his game. Throw them into a room and watch the fireworks.
I love the scandals twisted in and that his felt like watching a movie as I read. It was an angsty yummy read and I can’t wait to have the paperback on my shelves!
Rush is a Liverpool footballer who has come to LA to lay low after being accused of something he didn’t do. He has allowed everyone to believe he did by not speaking up. Lennox is a sports agent who is in LA licking her wounds too… over things said and assumed.
When they meet… There is a spark… that spark grows, but they know they have limited time… he has to return to Liverpool.. it’s his home, where his team is.
What happens when there is more than a spark? How could it ever work? Can Lennox fix things for Rush? There’s a whole lot going on in this book! K Bromberg is so good at writing interesting characters, amazing storylines, and keeping me reading till I finish the book. I love this book! I love this family! Who’s next?
This is book 2 in this awesome series about some sisters tacking their family sports management business. I loved these girls!
Being women working in a male dominated Lennox, like Dekker struggles to prove herself but unfortunately she can be too determined and come off slightly cold. I really adored they way Kristy peeled back her layers and let us get to know the real Lennox.
Rush is a sexy British footballer and has come to LA to hide from a scandal he was involved in. He is staying with a friend and comes face to face with Lennox who is also staying there. OMG the chemistry between them was off the charts hot from the moment they meet and its not long before they embark on a ‘no-strings attached’ relationship. They both need to be prepared to put the work in to break down the walls surrounding both of them and decisions will need to be made as to what is important
I loved the first book but this one is my favourite in this series so far and i can’t wait to see what comes next with the remaining sisters.
Oh man, this series just keeps getting better and better! This can be read as a standalone, but if you’re like me you’ll want to read them in order. Lennox and Rush were amazing characters and I couldn’t get enough of them. Their chemistry was amazing and I couldn’t help but fall in love with Rush. HIs back story broke my heart, but seeing where he is today makes you proud of him. But your heart still breaks for him. Lennox… I think I love her more than Dekker. She is strong and fierce.

All I got a say is, get ready to meet your new book boyfriend. This tattooed footballer (sorry, not calling it soccer) will steal your heart along with your panties. u2063
Lucky, lucky Lennox! u2063

The chemistry between these two is scorching, but neither expected to lose their hearts. It was supposed to be fun. (Famous last words, my friends!) u2063

This is the second book in a series, but it’s a stand-alone, however, I recommend reading Hard To Handle to get more enjoyment out of this book. u2063

**Dreamy sigh** I’m not one to like jocks (comes from being around them in college), but if I were to meet Rush IRL, I wouldn’t kick him out of bed for eating crackers. u2063

**Audiobook Review**: Seriously, what is it about a British accent that renders me stupid?! u2063Shane East brings his A-game and so does Vanessa Edwin. I loved this book so much that I actually bought the audiobook and was not disappointed. If there was anyone that could bring the raw vulnerability and bad boy ways from Rush to life was going to be Shane East.

And we are back in the world of Kincade Sports Management. I loved this book from the first page!
I was rooting for Lennox after reading a couple of chapters. I was so sad for her, so angry for her and her number one supporter. When she had the talk with her sister…
Rush ran away to L.A in order to keep it low after the scandal that was published on all the tabloids.
Both characters are away from home and found themselves living under the same roof…
Lennox wants to prove to her family that she is a credible Agent and Rush is a PR nightmare- When they are both in the same room… OLALA… KB made sure that we could feel the attraction , the chemistry between Lennox and Rush is off the charts… let’s not forget that she described Rush’s body so skillfully that I could pictured him perfectly in my mind.
I loved this story- it is all about choices and making amend with the past. Lennox and Rush are perfect together but can they commit to each other with no repercussion in their careers?
All in all a fantastic book and if you are a fan of this series, this is an absolute must read.
“The measure of a man is not what he’ll do for himself, but what he’ll do at the expense of himself for others.”
Rush McKenzie is just such a man. He has worked hard to gain the success of a valued Premier footballer from Liverpool after a devastatingly hard childhood. Left orphaned and homeless at the age of fifteen through no fault of his own. He was in a tricky place at one point and was saved by a man who saw his drive to succeed. This man took him into his family and treated him like a son. The mans own son became a valued friend over the years. Rory, Rush’s “brother”, had his own demons though and as much as he fought them he continued to be haunted by them. Something changed that though and it made all the difference for him. Unfortunately there was photographic evidence that was published in the papers and the accusations were aimed at Rush, not his brother Rory. This situation can ruin each of their careers but Rush is the more stable, valued player and so he lets everyone think it’s him in the photos and to get away from the paparazzi he leaves the country and travels to LA. Of course, there’s a soccer/football league in the USA who would very much like to take advantage of this setback for Rush and make him an offer.
Enter Lennox Kincade, sports agent extraordinaire. One of four of the Kincade sisters who runs Kincade Sports Management (KSM) along with their father. When we meet Lennox she’s attending a sports management conference in Los Vegas and she has the distinct displeasure of having to deal with her arch nemesis Finn Sanderson. Finn has taken advantage of the occasion to badmouth Lennox to as many of her fellow colleagues he can. Making accusations to make it seem as though the only way she gets a client to sign a contract is to sleep with them. She catches him in the act and after making a belittling remark in response she walks away, head held high. However, all this works on her and she is feeling at lose ends and needs a break away for the opinionated men in her field. Standing in the airport to head home, she makes a quick decision to visit her friend Johnny in LA and try and get her perspective back as well as take a meeting with the Major League Soccer (MLS) organization since they’re interested in her services as an ambassador to promote their new season. It seems the MLS is also interested in recruiting Rush McKenzie in hopes he will come to the US and play in their league.
When these two meet the fireworks ensue. Life as they know it may never be the same. I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions and jousting of these two strong individuals. This book is definitely high on my list of favorites for the year 2020. Grab a copy and dive in. I’m positive you’ll enjoy the ride.

Hard to Hold is such an emotionally powerful, combustibly SCORCHING and mind tauntalizingly addictive love story that it’s impossible not to stay glued to its pages until we see that so soul satisfying two words, The End!
