I am Duke Kingsley—a complete package, you can say.Irresistibly Handsome. Devilishly Hot. Well Hung. What else does a girl see in a guy?Money, perhaps. But don’t get fooled by my name. I am nowhere near Royalty. If I were, I wouldn’t be robbing houses for a living.I was deprived of love my whole life until I fell in love with Amber. And my marriage with her provided me with much-needed stability in … with much-needed stability in my life.
I was proud of my fortune. Two happily married years and my daughter Casey on the way. What more could I ask for? But who knew my shady past would finally catch up with me and bring along misfortune under its wings. I was arrested and jailed for three years when Casey was born.
Life never stops for anybody. Neither did it for me.
I am still where I was, but Amber has moved on.
She now hates me—and I can’t say I don’t deserve it. She blames me for ruining her life. I will always remain culprit in her eyes.
To even try to get a second chance, I have to prove that I can take care of my family. Which seemed far-fetched until yesterday when I was earning below minimum wage from waiting tables at a shit-hole restaurant.
But destiny has some other plans of putting me to a new path of redemption. An unexpected encounter with a mysterious woman from table no. 13 changed my life . . . and I can only hope for good.
Love, passion, romance, comedy, emotions, family drama . . . No matter what your preference, this read has just what you need.

Duke Kingsley has a lot to make up for. He starts out with petty thieving, and graduates to robbery and cons.
He married Amber under false pretenses and has no intention of signing the divorce papers so she can move on and marry Walter.
Duke went to prison the day after his daughter Casey was born.
Now, years later and out of jail, hr trying to get his girls back and go legit.
A few typos. Told predominately from Duke’s POV. What I liked?
Amber made him work for it and didn’t immediately fall back in with him after one second.

The good storyline and well rounded characters grabbed my interest from the very first page and kept it throughout the entire book!
This book was beyond captivating , capturing my attention right away and not letting go until the last word. Amber’s anger is understandable but her physical response was a bit OTT. Duke worked hard to gain her forgiveness and regain her affection. Roller coaster of emotions with this one.

Duke was a small-town crook…but that all stopped when he met and fell in love with Amber. He shared a happy life with her until she found out that she married a thief and a liar. After being arrested and having to relocate away from his only daughter, Duke was doing everything possible to avoid signing those divorce papers that Amber was so insistent on. But why was she in such a rush? Amber was re-marrying.
At a loss, Duke felt like things couldn’t get any worse…until he discovers a fish loaded with diamonds. Of course, when he tries to sell the diamonds, he right away gets accused of stealing them. Somehow he gets a pay-out on it, and he hopes that it will be enough to win his family back.

Wanting a second chance This is a story where Duke grew up without love but when he meet Amber knew she was the one! They married and after two years she was pregnant with a little baby we were going to call Casey. But I never told anyone how I made my money which was robbing houses! Well luck ran out and he was caught and sent to jail for three years. He was then out and thinking everything would be okay but Amber had moved on with his child. He couldn’t blame her but he wants a a second chance to have his family together but somehow her will be hard. She super angry and MEAN to him, will they find a away to work things out? Not sure what to think of this one the hero made a mistake went to jail and served his time while he was out his wife got engaged to another man and treats the hero horribly in front of their daughter. How could she treat him so bad and how could she get a Fiancé while still married that is literally cheating and the sad thing was the hero was not mad at her at all and treated her well even better than her so called fiancé.
The only people I liked in this story was the mother in law , his child and the hero.
He should have just divorced her and found someone better, she was conceited , spoiled and somewhat dumb.

Duke has had a hard life growing up with any family support and he has been a thief and a con man but when he meets Amber he is head over heels so when she agrees to marry him he straightens out and devotes himself to her. When some of his past crimes catch up with him sending him to prison. Duke knows that he has lost the only thing that mattered to him – his family. When he gets released he gets a regular job and wants his family back but Amber wants a divorce so she can remarry but Duke doesn’t want to sign the papers. Duke has so much going against him and Amber has turned into a hateful mean person but I loved this book.
