Check out my review & a TEASER here: http://frommetoyouvideophoto.blogspot.com/2011/06/idolizing-in-chicagoland-vampires-book.html
Another exciting and fast paced book in the Chicagoland series. I’m honestly still trying to process everything. Things are not what they appear and people are not who I thought they were.
I really like how Merit is growing into the person/vampire she’s meant to be. I wish we could get a bit more about Mallory, but I realize she’s not the main character of the series. I’m also fascinated with the evolution of Jeff and Catcher. I really enjoy the friendship between Lindsey and Merit as well.
I’m finding it hard to talk about the book without spoilers, so I’m just going to say that your world will be SHOOK! As I’ve said, I’m still working my mind around the events in the end of the book, and I’ve already started book 5. Be prepared, you may even want tissues!
Book 4 didn’t disappoint, it was just good as the first 3 books. I’m really enjoying getting to know these characters more and more. They’re an excellent group of friends, of different supernatural origins. Each having their perfect spot in the story, all are original, easy to relate to and I love them. The story has not lost me at all, I’m as committed to it as I have been in the first books and looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I can’t wait to start the next book, this one ends crazy. I can’t believe what happened and can only hope it’s not so, that it was some type of trick or magic. I still recommend this series and am heading to listen to book 5 now. I am waiting with baited breath to see what happens next??? There’s a lot going on and on the line right now.
Hard bitten had quite a few twists throughout and I really enjoyed seeing how the story unfolded. However…I was pretty thrown for a loop when a certain devastating twist happened. Initially I was like no way that can’t happen, and I found myself immediately getting the next installment and tearing through it to find some sort of resolution. All I can say is, this series took me by surprise and I’m so glad that I have continued along for this crazy ride!
One of my favorite series
I have really enjoyed whole series!
This is my second time reading this series. I wanted to do a reread before reading the latest. I forgot all about this one making me cry the first time I read it. Well, it made me cry again this time too. I love the push and pull between Ethan and Merit. I can understand why she is hesitant after what happened between them in a previous book.
There is a new aspect added into this book. It’s “V”. There are more bad guys also.
I don’t want to say too much and give anything away.
You should read these in order.
I love this series. Chloe Neill creates characters that make you want to invest in their lives.
