Lucia Marcello is the good girl—or she used to be. The youngest mafia principessa of her family, she’s not the one who falls for the man from the wrong side of the tracks, and she certainly shouldn’t have run across the country with him. She’ll leave everything behind for him … his siblings, he couldn’t afford the distraction of falling in love with a rich girl far beyond his league, and he definitely shouldn’t have her riding shotgun as he runs for his life.
He doesn’t want her anywhere else …
Love keeps them together.
Fear keeps them running.
Chaos follows them everywhere they go.
How long can they keep moving before someone finally catches up?
The cost of love is always high.
Never harbor it blindly.
Note: Harbor is book two in a three-book trilogy following the same couple.

The love of family is at the forefront of Ren and Lucia’s story. Lucia is prepared to blindly follow Ren to the ends of the earth because life without him is no longer possible. It’s important to have read Privilege before Harbor as this book picks up where the last book ends.
Family is just as important to Ren as it is to Lucian. Neither man sees clearly when something threatens their loved ones. And both feel threatened for various reasons at the moment. Lucian has a lot more resources at hand but Ren has Lucia by his side which means Lucian needs to act with caution.
What stood out during this part of Ren and Lucia’s story was they had no firm plan in place. Their youthful naivety was evident in the choices they made to try and stay one step ahead of the mess they were avoiding. Always being on someone’s radar meant there was little time to stop and relax. With trouble never more than a breath away, it felt as if they were fighting a losing battle.
The lengths they went to sustain their current situation was foolish at times. I was so tempted to jump into my Kindle and sit them down for a serious talk. The ramifications of their actions are yet to be realised in full. Looking at what has transpired so far through the eyes of a parent, I can understand Lucian and Jordan’s anguish at their daughter’s choices.
Lucia’s reasoning for following her heart was driven by her youthful conviction for righteousness. Her determination to help Ren where society has failed was a credit to her ability to see beyond her privileged life. I just wished they’d found a smarter way to stay out of trouble!
While Ren and Lucia’s happy ever after feels an eternity away, it is not out of the realm of possibility. Their circumstances consumed their time meaning there wasn’t much alone time. This ended up being another fast paced, passionate and nerve racking read and I am so looking forward to see what life has in store for Ren and how it will impact on Lucia.
4.5 Stars!
Harbor blew me away. So good that I didn’t go to sleep until I was done. I was a zombie after but it was worth it 🙂
Harbor picked up where Privilege left off. Renzo + Lucia driving across the country with little rest to no rest and doing whatever was needed to keep Lucia’s family from finding them. They’ve had to endure so much in their short time together but their love for one another and desperate need to stay together makes it hard for you to not root for them.
I NEED Contempt like yesterday!
