Lucia Marcello is the good girl—or she used to be. The youngest mafia principessa of her family, she’s not the one who falls for the man from the wrong side of the tracks, and she certainly shouldn’t have run across the country with him. She’ll leave everything behind for him … his siblings, he couldn’t afford the distraction of falling in love with a rich girl far beyond his league, and he definitely shouldn’t have her riding shotgun as he runs for his life.
He doesn’t want her anywhere else …
Love keeps them together.
Fear keeps them running.
Chaos follows them everywhere they go.
How long can they keep moving before someone finally catches up?
The cost of love is always high.
Never harbor it blindly.
Note: Harbor is book two in a three-book trilogy following the same couple.

When I started the second book, I was think Ren and Lucia, as Bonnie and Clyde. They had a way different reasons for they’re messes. Still Ren and Lucia’s story is heartbreaking! Their is so much misunderstanding from her family.
I know in John’s story you see how much it hurts him that Lucia is angry with him. What does to him, but it hurts her too! All from all looking down on Renzo.
Unbelievable story I still in tears with it.
Oh… Emm…. GEEEEE! How am I supposed to live while waiting on book 3?!?! This book WRECKED ME! I can’t even tell you how much I love what Bethany-Kris has been giving us over the last year. These two books have rocked me! I’m going to keep this really brief because the struggle to chat non-stop is real!
Bethany-Kris picks right up where Privilege ends. Lucia and Renzo are on the run and they are hanging on for dear life. So it’s only right that this pair is Ride or Die for each other… with each other. This entire book feels like you’re sitting on the edge or your seat waiting for everything to come crashing down onto them. Harbor is compulsively fast-paced; you feel the threat inside your heart. I was so wrapped up in the love between Renzo and Lucia. Mrs. Kris captivated my entire mind with the suspense and action while adding in that love and romance that she adds to every book with her name on the cover.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.

*This is books 2 in the Renzo + Lucia trilogy. I suggest reading book 1, Privilege as this book follows the same couple. *
The love between Lucia and Renzo is inspiring. Despite the difference in upbringing these two have such an intense connection and unbreakable bond. The journey that they embark on Harbor is exciting, scary but as long as they are together all was good. On the run for most of the book you see the bond and love these two harbor for each other.
Lucia has always been a confident and Independant woman but in the pages of Harbor you see so much more. The strength she possesses is astounding. After Privilege, you can’t help but fall for Renzo. The strength and love that he has for all that is important to him is my favourite quality of his character. The struggles he endures just to provide for those he loves is amazing.
“…he had to be that shelter—the safe harbor.”
Oh, the feels this book takes you through. My heart hurt at the end but I know BK will mend it in book 3, Contempt. As much as I disagreed with the actions of certain characters I fully understand why those things were said and done.
I highly recommend this series! The love that Ren + Lucia harbor for each other, whether together or apart, is indestructible.
“You go, I go.”
Together or apart, they will always be connected through heart, mind and soul
As you read this story, you know this will be ugly and painful.
This book is feeled with deep passion.
The last part of the book is heartbreaking. Lucia harbors much contempt for her father and brother…
can she ever see past her hurt and rage for them? Will she ever see Ren again? Will she ever feel whole again?
Talk about a turn…
I feel like a small tiny fish swimming happily on my way, when all of a sudden a my current path is altered. All of a sudden I’m being dragged around and around. No idea what’s up or down- just dragged into the maelstrom. A vortex of superior size, incredible strength and I’m just trying not to drown.
That is Harbor! Bethany-Kris created the perfect maelstrom and drops it on you when you are taking in the scenery. The problem is, no matter how strong you are, at some point you are going under.
The waves of emotion crash over you so hard that cataloging your responses will be impossible. Between crying and fighting tears I actually whimpered! WHIMPERED! It happened without my consent. Watch for that place to land because Bethany-Kris has made sure no one is safe!
Harbour—the book two in the trilogy starts with dear Renzo and Lucia still on the run. So exciting…
Renzo and Lucia were determined to make it work. But, how long can you run for before you hit a wall?
If you’ve read Marcellos series then you know Lucian. I love that brooding man, but despite understanding where he was coming from, I wanted to strangle him. He proved a formidable adversary as much as a father who just wants to keep his baby girl safe.
Lucia and Renzo in this book, continued to prove their loyalty to each other up until the very end.
*4.5 stars*
Love is worth it all…
Whew… Another whirlwind read as Lucia and Renzo’s journey took them to unexpected places. On the run with limited means meant fewer options as they tried to find a safe haven. I felt for them as they saw limited options for themselves and made some decidedly unwise choices. I had to remember they were very young and who knows how anyone would react in the situations they found themselves. True to this author, those situations meant tough calls and more than one walk on the darker side…
Through it all, their love was never in question as loyalty and devotion, love, pushed them forward. This was a tension-filled road trip with crazy bumps along the way. And that ending? Well, it gave me hope and a desperate need to read the finale!

Oh. My. God. This is sooooo good! Lucia and Renzo is running to keep his sibling safe. They’re leaving everything behind to start over but find trouble on ever corner.
Lucia knows her family reputation but forget due to young love and happiness in the moment situation. The young couple falls into a routine only to be snatched back to reality. Renzo love is protective and overwhelmingly for Lucia and his siblings.
There’s many twists and uneventful turns to the story but it’s amazingly written.

This is the 2nd book in the series about Lucia and Renzo and Bethany-Kris hit it out of the park. While the first book was about the couple getting to know one another and falling in love, this book goes deeper into the trials and tribulations they are facing. It’s gritty, raw, emotional, and heart breaking. However, BK always finds a way to mend the heart. Can’t wait for the final installment of this beautiful series!
Renzo learnt early on that he had to be the harbour – the shelter, the safe harbour, people needed him, and they were counting on him.
The decision to leave for Lucia it was an easy one, Renzo lit her on fire, even being next to him wasn’t close enough. She loved him enough to leave everything behind, as long as she was with him, where he went, she went, even if he didn’t always believe it.
When Renzo’s mother threatened to take Diego, he had no choice but to leave and as far away from there as he could and let Diego think they were playing hide and seek.
Even though Renzo was going to have to do some jobs to pay back what they got from his friend and what they would need, they were happy together, but Lucia knew with everything being fine it could be the calm before the storm.
Having to run again they head to the only place left that Renzo knows and things start to work out for them and it was quiet, but that gave Lucia time to think, if only she could explain to her father that she was happy, and where she wanted to be, she wanted to live her life.
Their happiness is short lived, Renzo tries to convince Lucia that they need to leave or her and Diego need to go, but Lucia is firm they’re not going, you go, I go it was there thing. He knew he couldn’t change her mind but what happens when their time is up, and Lucia’s family finds them, will she be able to convince them to leave them alone, or will they finally break them apart.
Can’t wait for the next book.
OH MY GOSH, how am I going to live without book 3? I need book 3 as soon as possible. I am still in shock. I still have not processed all my emotions. I am still in a messy state. Because of Harbor. Privilege totally annihilated my heart but Harbor wrecked my soul. It crushed me deeply. It broke my soul. It created shards of my broken heart and cut me inside. Harbor by Bethany-Kris deeply moved me.
Harbor is the heart pummeling and heart wrecking second chapter in the Renzo + Lucia trilogy, telling the love and relationship of Renzo and Lucia. Harbor is a deeply satisfying continuation to a thrilling and heart racing story that will claim you. What did Bethany-Kris do to me? No, she made a huge mess of my feelings that I cannot recover at all. The writing is so heart pulsing. The story is dangerously addictive and suspenseful. The characters leave you raw and bleeding with emotions. Harbor is a brilliantly written mafia romance that takes your feelings and whole heart to an unforgettable and gut wrenching journey. Harbor makes a home inside your soul and you cannot help but welcome. Bethany-Kris’s writing blows my mind. Like a painting on a wall, her writing moves you. Harbor, as always with any Bethany-Kris book, solidifies why I am a fan of her books.
Renzo and Lucia continue to excite me. You feel their young and deep love for each other in the pages of Harbor. You revere in their feelings. Their chemistry always 100% off the charts hot but with a captivating and intriguing edge. In Harbor, Renzo and Lucia ruined me. They bulldozed into my heart and made me fall in love with them deeply. Renzo and Lucia absolutely consume me.
Harbor left me me broken. Absolutely shattered. I need book 3. If you love action, mafia romance and fast pacing drama, you should definitely read Harbor.
I’m weeping big fat tears. So heartbreaking while at the same time the amazing love between Renzo and Lucia is truly a wonderful thing. It’s more than just the sizzling sexual chemistry. They just seem to know what the other needs without a lot of words exchanged. This follow up to the first story picks up right where we left with the lovers on the run. Can’t this couple ever get a break? You just know her family won’t let them go and be happy. This starts out hot with Ren in his usual mode as protector and provider for his family which now includes Lucia. I fell more in love with him in this story. He’s so strong and sexy. But he’s not the only one. Lucia finds her inner Marcello and protects her man in an unexpected way. Awesome! The middle was a little slow for me and the focus was mainly on Diego. The emotion and tension is exhausting waiting for the terrible to happen. And it does when John gets involved. My love for him falters with his dirty deeds. While the worst happens to Ren at least Lucian finally comes around. I didn’t understand why Lucia with all her resources didn’t act like a Marcello and find her man. I can’t wait for the next story in this fantastic love story and mafia brutality. It’s inevitable that Ren and Lucia will be different people with all they go through. The love between Renzo and Lucia is so beautiful and complete through the amazing writing of this fabulous author. Bethany-Kris you have outdone yourself with these spectacular characters and their love in a cruel mafia world. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars
Let’s start off by saying I am really loving this series and the more books I read from this author the more I fall in love with her works.
This story was a continuation of Renzo and Lucia’s story from book one.Talk about how opposites attract and this couple would be the perfect example as they are so different from each other in every way other than the ability to love whole heartedly.
I have to say that this was a story that kept you glued to the pages the entire time as things were constantly changing and the danger kept getting even more real but, this time around even more was on the line .
Renzo was my favorite character hands down .”I loved him from the onset of the story!” and I have to say that I was a little bit in love with him myself. We loved everything about him the good and the bad.
Renzo we found to be sexy, caring, loving, determined, some really big brass balls, bad*ss in his own right, creative, intelligent, a planner, down right dangerous if crossed, sneaky and sly, possessive, protective of all those he loved but, what we loved about him most of all of the self sacrifices he made on a daily basis for his family while all the time doing a job he hated but, did it to provide for his family.
We loved Renzo’s relationship with his brother and sister as also Lucia and how protective he was of them possessive of them and loved them well.Because of all of these things this is just some of a few reasons that made Lucia fall in love with him and fall hard.
Lucia was so much more than just her upbringing.I have to say that she surprised more and more as the story progressed and we saw this protective tigress just blossom and the lengths she went to also protect those she had come to love was astounding and so out of character for her. Lucia was the poster girl of a fierce warrior women. LOL We say that because she surprised us at every turn with her deeds alone and even though its no secret who her family is and how dangerous they are I think she proved this time around that she is more like her family members she could ever imagine.
For us the story rocked! The story had tons of romance and some really hot erotica love scenes, had constant drama, a ton of surprises as well as tons of twists and turns along the way and the story that was a little bit intense.I loved the lengths this couple was willing to go to be together and the sacrifices both of them were making to forge and life together. We also loved the character’s in this series and we are so looking forward to going back and starting with Lucian’s story and how it all began.
We can’t wait for the next installment to come out and we highly recommend checking out this author mafia books because everything I have read so far we have absolutely loved and they have been awesome reads.
We are loving these mafia romance books more and more.
This book picks up where Privilege left off. Lucia, Renzo, and Diego are on the run from her family. Renzo does what he has to do to keep his little brother Diego safe. Lucia’s family will eventually find her as they are mafia and won’t stop. This story will break your heart. I can’t wait to see how things turn out in the next book.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.
**ARC REVIEW** 4.5
I love how Harbor jumps right into where Privilege left off!
This love between Lucia & Renzo is so addicting. You feel for these two and the situation they have been place in. Their love is tested throughout the whole book but Lucia does not give up, until their torment starts getting closer and closer and they need to start protecting their lives and also Renzo little brother Diego.
Will they survive the anguish of Lucia’s Mafia Family? Will their love continue to be Strong?
You will not be disappointed with this series! It’s a Must Read!
Ride or Die!
I never knew I could feel for characters so much than when I read Renzo + Lucia’s star-crossed romance. I ended up with literal tears in my eyes! And believe me when I say that this rarely happens to me when I read a book.
But see, when you get invested in Bethany-Kris’ characters, you will definitely feel all the feels. Their crazy love really tugged into my heart and after reading Harbor, you can’t really help but fall in love with Renzo and Lucia a little bit more.
Harbor picked up after Privilege ends. The more I see these characters, the more I realize that they really are meant to be. It was really them against the world. But what gutted me most was when Renzo never really gave up on Lucia. Even when everything was going wrong against him, he would never ever put her in harm’s way. It’s really Ride or Die with them.
If you’re looking for a modern-day couple that will get you so invested in romance, then Renzo and Lucia’s story is just right for you. Harbor has enough action, suspense, and drama to get you so invested in the story that you couldn’t put it down until the end.
I cannot wait to see the conclusion of their story in Contempt. This is definitely one of the best books in 2019!
As we begin, the story picks up where Privilege ends. Lucia and Ren are on the run. But being on the run is not for the faint of heart. Ren does what Ren needs to do in order to keep Diego save and with him. He makes choices that will never end well for the three of them but what choices does he have. He must do what he must. Lucia wants to be no where else than with Ren and Diego. She knows her family and their determination to get her back will eventually come to a head. But putting it on the back burner is easier than to talk about the inevitable. All Lucia knows is that she loves Ren and Ren loves her- Ride or Die……where you go, I go.
As you read this story, you know that you are heading for a crash. There really is no way to avoid it. You know that it will be ugly and painful. Lucia’s family is ruthless and powerful but Lucia will soon learn just what that means.
This second book was filled with grit and determination. It was also filled with a deep passion. Love can be destructive and all consuming and when you are running from danger it gets very complicated. But through it all- Lucia and Ren forge a bond that no matter the outcome, it will transcend time. Their love is deep and profound but it will be filled with trials and tribulations.
The last part of the book is heartbreaking. Lucia harbors much contempt for her father and brother. As a parent, I know how sometimes you act out of fear when your child’s welfare is threatened. I see both sides and how both did wrong things. So much as transpired……can she ever see past her hurt and rage for them? Will she ever see Ren again? Will she ever feel whole again?
Book 3 can not come soon enough. I’m hoping for forgiveness and healing of hearts for everyone.
“I’m going wherever you’re going.”
As Privilege ended, I was cringing, and as Harbor began, I was still cringing. Because Ren & Lucia are on the run. And Ren (and Lucia) are going to do what they have to to ensure Diego’s safety. What they will have to do will surely bring trouble down on their heads, trouble just compounded by the family that’s certainly already looking for them. Marcellos look out for their own, so Ren and Lucia know eventually her father will send someone to come get her.
But neither of them could have foreseen what would happen when her family came for them. And when it all went down I have to admit I got as angry as Lucia is when Harbor ends. Her fury is eating her up inside to the point that she’s stone cold now, empty, as she looks at her life without her Ren. A life made that way by her own family. A family she’s so pissed at that she barely speaks to them. And when she does speak to them it’s only to let them know that she hates them. And I don’t blame her. But, being as I’m not 18 anymore, I can see her family’s side, too, and can even empathize with them, but it’s really Lucia I feel so badly for. I can feel her anger and her emptiness, and I just want her and Ren to be together. And then at the end when she gleans some hope from the most unlikely of all sources, I felt that hope too because if anyone in this world deserves to be together, it’s Ren and Lucia.
I absolutely loved the second part of Ren and Lucia’s story! It’s so full of desperate love. These two may be young, but they’ve already lived lifetimes, especially Ren, and they’re 100% sure of their love for each other. If Contempt lands on my Kindle within the next month or so, I’ll be a happy, happy camper because I’m dying to know how Ren and Lucia get each other back. How they get their love back. These two so deserve that love and that happiness!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Lucia Marcello is the good girl-or she used to be. The youngest mafia principessa of her family, she’s not the one who falls for the man from the wrong side of the tracks, and she certainly shouldn’t have run across the country with him. She’ll leave everything behind for him.
Renzo Zulla is the bad guy – society and life labeled him that way. The only person left to take care of his siblings, he couldn’t afford the distraction of falling in love with a rich girl far beyond his league, and he definitely shoulsn’t have her riding shotgun as he runs for his life. He deosn’t want her anywhere else. Love keeps them together. Feark keeps them running, Chaos follows them everywhere they go. How long can they keep moving before someone finally catches up? Harbor is the second book in a three book trilogy about Lucia and Renzo. You must read Privilege first or you are going to be lost. This book is super emtotinal so you better get your box of kleenex ready. Iended up in tears. Thew two are tested and pulled apart in this book and it is heartbreaking as I am sure all readers are rooting for them. I did however feel like Renzo makes some serious last moment not well thought out decisions and that got on my nerves at times. That said though this book will keep you reading and on the edge of your seat.
5 STARS
Bethany-Kris never ceases to entice me with her words. This is the second instalment in the Renzo + Lucia Trilogy. Privilege is the first book and I do suggest you read it first to appreciate where the characters story began.
In Harbor, we discover how Renzo and Lucia’s bonds are forged through the many events they undergo while fleeing their crimes while trying to find their safe ‘harbor’.
While on their journey we catch many glimpses of a very common Marcello trait in Lucia, which is her stubbornness. The way that the author expresses how Lucia carries herself, as well as the strength that she possesses to follow through with what she feels is right is commendable. It is a trait that I find truly admirable.
“Marcellos didn’t bow or bend. Not even to one another.”
In Harbor, you see more of Renzo’s resilient nature and his need to protect all of whom he holds dear. Whether it be his brother Diego, his sister Rose, but most especially Lucia. He shows how much he loves her time and time again.
“There was something about this girl that brought him down from the clouds, and at the same time, kept him sky high.”
I am eagerly awaiting the final instalment in this trilogy. Contempt is set to release March 4, 2019. I truly hope that Renzo finds his way home in Contempt.
“Home was where the heart was, right? That’s how the saying went. As long as he was with Lucia, Renzo figured he was always home.”
This book is truly another EPIC read from Bethany-Kris and I highly recommend you read it. Harbor by Bethany-Kris will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
