Felix is just trying to keep it together. . . .
With a perma-smile as his armor, he’s determined to make his family happy. Determined to be a positive role model to his three younger sisters, while their mum struggles with depression after her kidney transplant.
Unfortunately, no amount of smiling can save his license when he gets pulled over for the umpteenth time, and he still needs to get his sisters to school, soccer, and dance classes.
The solution to his problem emerges in the return of their prodigal neighbor, Mort. Mort, who left their lives without a word. Mort, who was in love with Felix’s older brother.
Mort, who is the last guy Felix wants charging back into their lives. . . .

This is the first book I have read from this author. Since this is the third book in series I felt while reading Morts and Felex’s story I was confused and lost a few times.. I felt like I missed something..
Their story was a good read but I felt it took to long for them to admitt their feeling .
But they got their happy ever after by the end.
I plan to read the first two books in series to see if it helps to add up some of my confusion.
I loved the romance. I felt like I was traveling through New Zealand as their played in the background. The next time I read this I’m downloading the songs to play so I have a musical accompaniment as I fall in love all over again.
A beautiful, feel good romance!
Wow. I loved this way more than I was expecting. I adore Anyta’s books, but I’m generally not a fan of miscommunication and the plot revolves that and some misunderstandings. It turns out this book handles it all really, really well! And there’s Anyta’s trademark slow burn romance. The little details, the love that grows between the MCs, the interactions with their family. It’s all just so well woven together and romantic.
I read this as a stand-alone, but plan to go back and read the rest of the series.
This felt like the end to a completely different trilogy, like I was missing all the backstory to make me care about these characters. Which was unfortunate because there were a lot things that could have been salvaged if I was so confused/annoyed.
Another 5* from Anyta Sunday. Reading one of Anyta’s books is like curling up on your favourite chair in front of an open fire with a hot chocolate, the perfect slow burn comfort read.
Man this is a bad day for my reading and reviewing, because it’s the second 2 star read for me. The main reason I couldn’t get into this story is because from the very first page I felt as if I were thrown into an already developed story, with characters and side stories that had already been revealed. I was underwater from the very beginning, and I never could breach the surface of the water and find any clarity, even by the end. Sigh…
Mort and Felix never felt like a genuine couple to me either. Mort had always had a crush on Felix’s brother, but all the sudden he loves Felix now? Hm, don’t think so. The reason Mort left, and the reason he came back? Never properly justified and explained. And the “villain” at the center of the drama? Yuck. Not that villains are usually likable, but in here she was particularly bad.
Anyway, I just could not get into this story. I didn’t particularly like or care about these characters and their journey, and I never believed they loved each other.
Oh my dear God this book melted me!!! It was so cute and fluffy, it made me feel incredibly happy. Felix and Mort had perfect chemistry, I connected with them immediately! Felix was adorably awkward and honest and loyal. And Mort was so loving and sweet. I loved everything about their story. The family bonds, the teasing, the sweet moments, the steamy ones. This book stole my heart!
Also… we got a cameo by Jace and Coop!!! How freaking awesome was that?! I loved “Rock”!
If you love slow burn romance books, if you enjoy the friends to lovers trope and if you want a book to make you smile I totally recommend “Happy for you”!
Life is not easy, life is full of ugly surprises and nobody teaches you how to deal with loss or how to suddenly become a parent to your 11 years brother. But Ben tries his best, and as he says, “when life gives you lemons , you throw them at your brother Liam”. I adore the two brothers, their similarities, their quirks and banter. And later,I love the way Jack fits right in,like the missing piece of their family’s puzzle. It doesn’t happen easily, there are bumps, highs and lows, but the important thing is to always set priorities and realize what home represents.
You have to read Made For You ,because it will make you cry, both from sadness and from laughter, but it’s guaranteed to leave you joy and happiness.
Five stars are not enough for this book
This was a lovely, grab-you-by-the-feels, slow burning, charming, poignant, and very enjoyable story.
