For America’s hottest starlet, faking an off-screen romance with her co-star should be simple. Thanks to her hot bodyguard, it’s anything but… My newest role was simple: convince the world I’m in love with my co-star, Ryan McDonnell. But faking it isn’t so easy when my rugged new bodyguard moves in. Jace Morgan is nothing like a movie star. He’s a rough around the edges Marine from the wrong … like a movie star. He’s a rough around the edges Marine from the wrong side of the tracks, and one hundred percent, exactly my type.
Jace is here to protect me, not love me. But he’s always here, when I need him, and when I’m trying very hard not to need anyone. And his troubled gaze combined with muscles literally everywhere? It’s a lot to resist. And as our relationship begins to morph into something much more than client/bodyguard, I’m having trouble keeping up the act. And even more trouble keeping my hands off him.
But the two of us together? Could cost us both our jobs.
And when my bodyguard and my fake boyfriend come along to Maryland for a family event? Lines get crossed, and I’m not talking about the Mason-Dixon.

This is a sensationally heartwarming story about an actress who has lost her voice in order to please everyone and a former Marine turned security detail agent in an attempt to provide for his family. Juliet is a famous actress under scrutiny following a separation from her douche of a husband. Jace is the head of Juliet’s security detail. After some time and a friendship blossoms, their feelings for each other quickly becomes something more. Yet Juliet needs to begin listening to her heart and Jace needs to put aside his pride so they are able to find their happiness. Happily Ever Hers is a beautifully written story filled with heartache, misunderstandings, angst, passion, a secret romance, and love with wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. This is a captivating story readers won’t want to put down.

An amazing well written fake relationship and more with a unique twist. This intriguing storyline was funny and addicting having me on the edge of my seat for a great HEA. It includes a greedy ex, angst, undeniable attraction, romance, a contract, crazy animals and lots of laugh out loud moments. The characters were interesting and relatable. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC and really enjoyed (actually loved) Juliet’s story and seeing her view point on many key scenes from the 1st in the series. This standalone is a much better read as a duet, but very entertaining and worth it on it’s own merits
I enjoyed this book it kept me entertained from the beginning to the end. It has well developed and engaging characters and smooth flowing storyline.

I enjoyed the story, but my favorite “characters” were definitely Elvis the pug and the infatuated chicken.
Juliet is a movie star who has lost her identity – she allows life situations to determine her actions and plays the part of who other people think she should be. Jace is a former Marine with a savior complex – he thinks he is responsible for everyone and has to protect them. They meet when Jace is assigned to be one of her bodyguards. They start a clandestine relationship after Juliet kicks out her cheating husband. Each has baggage to work through but they get their HEA in the end.

I give this book a 2,5 stars. I just didn’t work for me.
I really liked the first book in this series “Happily ever his” and maybe I had to high hopes for this book about Tess sister Juliet and her bodyguard Jace.
I liked Jace until he got too alpha and couldn’t let Juliet help him and his family. He became to prideful and annoying. Juliet just bored me.
But one thing I liked was that they build a friendship in the beginning. They played mastermind and other games and got to know each other over a bottle of wine and talks.
Jace’s bodyguard co-worker Chad is just scum and I didn’t understand why she didn’t have him fired for making her feel unsafe in his company.
Not my taste this time.

Delancey Stewart won me over and over again with the amazing characters, captivating storyline and flawless writing. A great fun story, you don’t want to miss! Happy reading!!
Juliet’s soon-to-be ex is a bigger scumbag than I ever imagined. But Juliet’s ready to divorce him and move on. With Jace. He’s part of her security team, and the chemistry between them is absolutely explosive. He has a lot of his self-worth tied up in how well he takes care of those he loves, and there are family problems. His ego won’t allow Juliet to help out financially. We get to see the entire story leading up to her fake relationship with Ryan. And of course, Gran’s back with her crazy attack chicken and all of her bad habits. I love the book – funny, a little drama, more craziness, and a narcoleptic dog named Elvis. This is her story, switching back and forth from her point of view to Jace’s point of view.

This sequel to the Movie Stars in Maryland duet series was just as amazing as the first in the series! Chessy the chicken made another hilarious appearance, and Gran is as funny as the first one! And now added in is a narcoleptic pug! I loved Jace and Juliette’s story. Jace, an ex-marine turned bodyguard for Juliette, has family issues that he’s dealing with and struggles with accepting help from Juliette, as their love story is unfolding. Juliette has to decide if she’s willing to say screw you to the people that want to judge her for false or real things (fans, her ex, etc), and say “this is me”, this is my family, and come into her own in deciding to stand up to the nastiness that comes with being a Hollywood star. Loved the chemistry and the friendship between Juliette and Jace that was the foundation of their love!
This is a really great read that will draw you in from beginning to end! It is well written, fast pace, funny, witty, moves at a brisk pace, and is very enjoyable. The characters are relatable and the chemistry between them is blazing hot! I loved watching their story unfold; the narcoleptic pug, a cursing Gran, and a house chicken in love are very entertaining and helped to make this story the heartwarming and hilarious gem it is. This is a very interesting and engaging read that I highly recommend reading.

Happily Ever Hers is the companion novel to Happily Ever His, both taking place at approximately the same time – although we get a couple months before and some time after the weekend in this book. In His, Juliet is the famous actress sister returning home with her “boyfriend” Ryan for Gran’s 90th birthday party. In Hers, we get her side to the story. And since the books overlap that weekend, we get different perspectives of the same scene. They can each be read as a standalone, but reading both enriches the experience.
Juliet and Jace were so good together. Jace was more than I expected, in a good way, and we got to see so much more of Juliet as a real person and not just a distant character in her sister’s life. It was wonderful to get more of Gran, too. That lady is on my short list of favorite book characters ever.
Light, sweet and fun to read Happily Ever Hers. The characters have the connection needed to make the story line seem real and grabs the reader’s interest. How can you not have a great story when there’s a pug, a cursing granny, and a sexy ex-military hero? You’ll find yourself laughing out loud while you’re reading it.

This book was joy to read there is plenty of drama and a whole lot of fun
Juliet Manchester a Hollywood star is having a bad time of it her cheating ex husband is accusing her of infidelity and is threatening to release their home videos if he doesn’t get his own way. Her bodyguard Jace Morgan steps in and throws him out of the marital home He has had feelings for Juliet for a while but has been totally professional she also has developed feelings for her bodyguard but was true to her marriage vows now they are free to act on how the feel Until her Pr people concoct a story that she is dating her co star can she asks Jace to step aside and accept her carrying on with her co star or will she have to man up and tell the whole world who her real love is
A Kentucky friend of mine from grad school once threatened a classmate of ours he found a bit slimy to me. He warned him to stay above my Mason Dixon line, or he would be forced to prove himself still a redneck. After all, a woman is to be treated as a Lady until she proves or demands otherwise!
The lines have been crossed in this fun sequel- and hilariously.
If you like your sequels both steamy and sweet, and enjoy a hot Marine, this book will tickle your funny bone and burn up the hot and steamy!

Jace and Juliet have a forbidden hidden relationship since it was in his contract with the personal security company he worked for that he couldn’t fraternize with her. To get past the negative press from her selfish greedy cheating ex, her publicist wants her to date fellow actor Ryan, who really is a good guy, but is destined to be with someone else hopefully in a future book in the series. I love Elvis, the narcoleptic pug and Chessy the chicken who was infatuated with Jack, another guard on Juliet’s security detail. Juliet’s ninety year old pot smoking bourbon drinking online game playing Gran was a riot. I was disappointed that Jace allowed the fact that Juliet had more money than him get in the way of their relationship. He also was over the top jealous at times when he knew Juliet was only acting.
This is a companion book to Happily Ever His and you will love them both! They could probably be read in either order but it is fun to see how the weekend plays out on all sides.
While Happily Ever His takes place in one weekend, Happily Ever Hers starts several week before. Juliet is a movie star and she loves acting but the not what it has done to her relationships. After she catches her husband cheating on her, she realizes while her career is terrific, her actual life is not. She is drawn to Jace, a member of We her security team. He grounds her and gives her a sense of belonging that has been lacking in her life. But he would lose his job if their relationship became public so they have to keep it quiet. When she and a co-star have to pretend to be a couple to try to earn some positive press, it puts a strain on their relationship.
The connection between the two of them is so sweet and sexy. They are both good people, kind people, who deserve to find happiness. And you get an extra dose of Gran and her lovesick chicken Chessy!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Loved this story as much as the first! Getting to see more of Juliet and her life and feelings was awesome. Her connection with Jace was a slow burn but really turned up the heat when they let go! Delancey did an amazing job of telling the other side of the story that we saw in Happily Ever His and merged the two beautifully! Definitely worth the read of the entire duet!!!
The underside of the false hollywodian relations
4.5
Beautiful romance highlighting the position of a Hollywood actress in front of the media and her love and family life.
This story was already a bit discussed in the first book “happily ever his” about Juliet’s sister. Juliet was humiliated by her husband who, in addition to being wrong, tries to extort money from her and, to fight, she organizes with another actor, a spoof of romance to give her a new image in front of the media. The only helps she can count on, comes from Jace, her bodyguard, a former Marine, who tries to protect her, but also to protect himself from the attraction he feels for her.

I really enjoyed book two of this duet. This is the story of Juliet and Jace and you got a hint of their story in Happily Ever His but if you didn’t read book 1, you will not lose anything. This is her story. They were such a great couple. You are going to fall in love with them. Their chemistry was off the charts and once you get started with this book, you won’t want to put it down. If I didn’t need sleep, I wouldn’t have stopped reading it when I did but when I got up the next morning, my Kindle was the first thing I picked up. I had to know how it ended. When you are finished with this book, you will have a huge smile on your face. I highly recommend this book.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve been reading romance books with quite the high level of angst and also some heavy issues, so it was so nice to have a nice, light, sweet and funny read to turn to! This is the second book in the series and I think it’s even better than the first!
We met Juliet in the first book, and I’ll be honest, I didn’t really like her that much. I felt bad that her entire world was crumbling down around her, especially regarding her ex husband, but I just felt like she steamrolled over Tess every chance she got, but it turns out Juliet is so sweet, so sensitive, but also so independent and strong and wanting to make an everlasting mark on the movie industry while having a true love by her side. She’s everything a good heroine should be, and I just adored her!
And Jace.. I loved everything about that man! He was completely different from Juliet’s cheating ex: meaning he’s the kind of man you can actually depend on. He already does his best to take care of his family, but everyone around him as well. I loved that he saw underneath Juliet’s movie star facade right away and just saw her.. that was really spectacular!
This book has many heartwarming moments, but it’s also hilarious! Grans humor was injected at just the right times, as well as the chicken and pug who love each other! 😉 if you’re in the need for a sweet, romantic read before the end of summer, this is it!
**I I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review!**
