A loaf of fragrant cinnamon bread for breakfast . . . a sweet and creamy custard pie for dessert. In 1912 Ohio, the Amish Charm Bakery has something to delight locals and visiting Englischer alike. And within this warm, welcoming community, there’s always room for love to grow . . . Hannah Lapp’s life, like a long-cherished recipe, is satisfying just the way it is. She enjoys whipping up … way it is. She enjoys whipping up desserts at the bakery, tutoring local children, and socializing with dear friends. One of those friends, Timothy Barkman, has made his interest in Hannah clear, but she’s been in no hurry to change her circumstances.
No sooner does she feel ready to grow closer to hard-working, handsome Timothy than Hannah finds she may have waited too long. Charlene Shetler intends to become Timothy’s fraa. It’s little wonder he’s attracted to such a pretty, forthright young woman, but is the newcomer all that she seems? Only when Hannah is willing to confront some difficult truths can she move bravely toward a life of abiding faith and love . . .

Hannah was relatable to me. Hannah loves family, socialising with friends and baking. She also did not like change and was in no rush to change her status even with the persistence of her friend Timothy.
I admired Timothy’s devotion and persistence with Hannah all these while. His naivety was so sweet.
If only He has waited a little longer…
It was sad when he gave up at the nick of time when Hannah got courageous enough to tell him how she feels about him.
Amish stories are sweet and wonderful and like this one filled with life long lessons and truths. The simplicity of the Amish life was well illustrated in this book by the author. The language easy to understand.
This story winds around Hannah getting around to tell Timothy how she feels about him and handling the decit of Charlene. I did not like the Charlene character. She was too forward and had little regard for the Amish ways which I love and she preyed on Timothy’s naivety.
If you love Amish historical romances, you’d love this one.
I received a copy of the book and this is my honest opinion.
I enjoy reading sweet, wholesome stories, and Molly Jebber’s stories always have a way of touching my heart. What I’ve loved most about this series is the Amish community of Charm, Ohio, in the year 1912. These books make me wish I could visit the bakery there and talk with Hannah, Ellie, and Magdalena.
We read this story from the viewpoints of both Hannah and Timothy. Hannah’s a lovely young Amish lady who enjoys visiting with and helping her friends and family. She’s not been in a hurry to get married, even though Timothy has been courting Hannah for some time. However, Hannah has misjudged Timothy’s feelings about the delay. Timothy thinks Hannah likes him only as a friend, and he decides it may be time to move forward with someone else who is serious about marriage. He meets Charlene, a newcomer to their community, and she immediately makes her interest in Timothy known to all. Hannah realizes the true state of her heart, but is it too late for her to make this known to Timothy?
I was quite interested in the characters in this book. Both Hannah and Timothy are wonderful people, and it was easy to see that they belonged together. Charlene was a total contrast to Hannah, as she was manipulative and secretive. Although Charlene was sometimes over-the-top with her behavior, her character fit well with the storyline.
Amish fiction fans will enjoy this book. I’m hoping there’s still more to comeopinions are my from that little Amish community of Charm.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
I was glad to revisit Charm, Ohio in 1913 and get to peek in on the lives of previous friends I met in Liza’s Second Chance and Ellie’s Redemption. Ellie makes me laugh and her spunkiness is refreshing to the storyline. We get to know Hannah on a deeper level this time and see that she doesn’t like change. When life becomes difficult and she makes decisions that bring about change it is then good to watch her grow and mature. I love the comradery the women at the bakery have and what an important role family and faith play. Timothy makes a decision that turns into a mistake when he trusts Charlene. Charlene adds to the story with her deceitfulness. This makes it more believable as we encounter those people in our real life situations. This is the perfect quick read that entertains and takes us back to a more simple way of life. You will love these women and feel like you are a part of their lives. I recommend also as a clean read for teens.

I have read many books from this author and have enjoyed each one. This story is special because the author has achieved something that at times is hard to accomplish. She has written a story that flows easily, develops her characters in a way that you connect with them and shares a message of God’s love in a way that fills you with peace. I am disappointed that the story is over because I wanted to continue visiting with Hannah and Timothy. I am hoping that the author will continue the series with one of the characters from the bakery.
Hannah and Timothy have been dear friends forever and it has come to a point where they each have deeper feeling for each other. I loved how the author shared how much of a gentleman Timothy is. He is committed to his faith and the Amish ways. I learned some new things about the Amish which delighted me. I knew that the Bishop has to approve things but I didn’t know you had to ask permission to attend an English wedding.
Hannah is sweet and hard working. She loves to bake and loves her time working with her friends at the bakery. I want to visit an Amish bakery sometime and sample everything. It was interesting to read how much work they do to supply bakery items for sale. I would not want to get up early in the morning to start baking.
The story is a romance but so much more. Have you ever regretted not telling someone how you feel? Hannah will learn a hard lesson when she waits to long to share her feelings for Timothy. I loved the addition of Charlene and it did give Hannah a little shock that Timothy could have feelings for someone else. Charlene is not the most pleasant person to be around and is very pushy. I know she was mean but my heart went out to her. She wanted someone to love her and was willing to lie and say hurtful things to get her way.
It will take a journey for Hannah to realize what really makes her happy. Her patience with Timothy’s brother is such a beautiful testimony to how selfless Hannah is. Aaron really has come a long way in school since Hannah has devoted her time to teach him one on one. There is so many wonderful parts of the story that I want to share, but I can’t spoil any surprises. If you are looking for a story about family and a lesson on courage this is the perfect book to read. The author includes a bit of history about motorcars and other inventions that make the story realistic. Come join Hannah, Timothy and the town as we find love, laughter, friendship and courage to trust God in all things.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
Hannah’s Courage by Molly Jebber is an endearing addition to the Amish Charm Bakery series. As a reader with a love for Amish tales and having read the first two books in the series, this book did not disappoint. Hannah and Timothy have been good friends for years but a commitment to marriage was not forthcoming. Would their love for each other endure the changes that are ahead–a conniving interloper and a career move? Would their faith in God be strong enough to overcome the challenges? The characters are likable and realistic, with their strong points and their flaws and foibles. I loved the friendship of the young women at the bakery as they worked together and cared for each other. I also liked the relationship Hannah and Timothy each had with their respective parents. The plot flows quickly with twists and turns that keep the reader’s interest. The author has infused the pages with heart-warming emotion and romance. Threaded throughout the book is also a strong faith in God and a belief that He is a God who will give guidance and courage to make the right decisions in life.

Hannah’s Courage is the third installment from Molly Jebber’s Amish Charm Bakery series. I have read the other books in the and enjoyed every one of them and I think this one is my favorite of the three. I do recommend that readers should probably should start at the beginning of the series with book one, Liza’s Second Chance. I found this story to be one that warmed my heart and gave me a reminder of what faith, hope and inspiration can do. I loved Hannah from the start and felt a connection to her. There were a few twists to the story that kept me want to keep reading. I had the whole book read in just a few short hours.
Hannah’s Courage is getting five stars from me. I highly recommend this book, as well as, the rest of the Amish Charm Bakery series. Readers who love clean Amish fiction will enjoy this one.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
HANNAH’s..Courage
…by Molly Jebber
Courage to finally say something about her feelings for Timothy, is it too late. Another girl who is not as Amish is making a big play for him. Charlotte takes up quite a bit of the story, in doing this. A nice tender story of love, will it be recognized and returned. The third in the series.
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion by Net.Galley and
Kensington
This book was not for me I felt like the book dragged a lot. I felt like the whole book was completely predictable and found it hard to just follow the over all story. The book is a clean read and would be suitable for all ages. I did like Ellie she was pistol and was fun to read about. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion
Molly Jebber has written another delightful heartwarming story that readers will enjoy. The title for this book was a perfect match for the story found within. I loved reading Hannah’s Courage and the growth she found with her courage. She took a leap of faith after waiting to long in giving Timothy an answer about her love for him when she accepted a teaching job in Mt. Hope. Hannah knew she would miss all her wonderful friends at the Amish Charm Bakery where she enjoyed baking and taking care of the books. I love the characters in the Amish Charm Bakery series, except for the conniving Charlene that appeared in this story; however, time does expose truth. The beauty of Jebber’s writing shone through with God’s love, forgiveness, grace, mercy and romance. There was plenty of action, unexpected events with some answers that only God could have orchestrated for the loved characters.
Jebber is one of my favorite authors with her historical Amish fiction and including her original series theme of a pocket quilt with a letter for a loved one in each book. I look forward to reading more astonishing books by this author. I would like to see a story about Rachael, Maryann and Magdalena that work at the Amish Charm Bakery, too.
I received a complimentary e-book from NetGalley and the Kensington Publishers for the tour with Celebrate Lit.
