New York Times bestselling author of SHACKING UP and I FLIPPING LOVE YOU Helena Hunting mixes humor and heart in this scandal-filled romantic comedy.HE WANTS TO LOSE CONTROL.Between his parents’ messed up marriage and his narcissistic younger brother, Lincoln Moorehead has spent the majority of his life avoiding his family. After the death of his father, Lincoln finds himself in the middle of the … death of his father, Lincoln finds himself in the middle of the drama. To top it all off, he’s been named CEO of Moorehead Media, much to his brother’s chagrin. But Lincoln’s bad attitude softens when he meets the no-nonsense, gorgeous woman who has been given the task of transforming him from the gruff, wilderness guy to a suave businessman
SHE’S TRYING TO HOLD IT TOGETHER.
Wren Sterling has been working double time to keep the indiscretions at Moorehead Media at bay, so when she’s presented with a new contract, with new responsibilities and additional incentives, she agrees. Working with the reclusive oldest son of a ridiculously entitled family is worth the hassle if it means she’s that much closer to pursuing her own dreams. What Wren doesn’t expect is to find herself attracted to him, or for it to be mutual. And she certainly doesn’t expect to fall for Lincoln. But when a shocking new Moorehead scandal comes to light, she’s forced to choose between her own family and the broody, cynical CEO.

In book five of the “Shacking Up” series, we have Lincoln and Wren. He is a reluctant temporary CEO; she is a media-handler for the company (well, more for his wayward brother). Sparks fly, but family secrets and other twists get in the way. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Handle with Care. I liked the interplay between the characters and thought that the plot was realistic. Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, and the author for a complimentary, pre-release digital ARC of the book.
Another perfect story from this author. The hated Armstrong was back, and we got an even closer view at his horribleness, but it was more amusing this time as we weren’t watching him actually ruin someone’s life. The romance between Lincoln and Wren was a really good one. And I liked a lot how the whole big issue at the end of the book was handled with honesty and just not letting the bad person get away with it. With confronting them, with people not doubting the other’s honesty. I feel like this was such a realistic romance. I liked how we got our glimpses into the other couples that we’ve met in the other books in the series. And even though Armstrong still can’t be redeemed, he just can’t, we were able to laugh at him, and enjoy seeing him get what he deserved, but in a lesser way, just for the ridiculous comments he made. It was great to see just how what someone did in the past, that may have made them look like bad people, could possibly have other origins that made them not quite the villain you may have thought. Except Armstrong. He’s just a jerk.
Loved this one, and could barely put it down to do anything else!
I still need a few seconds to breathe again, such was my surprise at everything that happened at the end of this book … Just WOW.
Wren was hired by Moorehead Media to lessen the damage caused by the stormy Armstrong, son of the powerful owner of the company, but when his father dies and his older brother returns to take over the transition, Wren is again summoned to look after Lincoln’s image.
Lincoln was raised from an early age outside the clutches of the complicated family and plunged deep into social projects in Latin America as an adult. He doesn’t care about his father’s company for whom he has a very strong rejection, but when his grandmother asks him to help keep the company standing, he can’t say No to the only person who took care of him.
The encounter between the Wren and Lincoln is stormy and complicated as both imply with each other and the sparks of this explosion can ignite a dangerous fire between them both.
Even though it was a romantic comedy, Helena Hunting put a good deal of suspense and drama into the book and I stay alert until the end to know everything what would happen to the couple and their families. I really enjoyed the romantic moments and the hot moments.
HANDLE WITH CARE is yet another sweet, complex, and tug heartstrings kinda love stories! You know the kind where you’re laughing your ass off one minute then the next your heart my heat in your hands! Plus the banter and whit that Helena Hunting puts into her characters are just unparalleled!
Boom a must-have!
Wren and Lincoln’s love story in Handle with Care by Helena Hunting, book five in her Shacking Up series, was a wonderful and emotional story. Wren was overworked trying to silence the indiscretions at Moorehead Media when she’s tasked with another responsibility, work with the reclusive oldest son transition into the role of CEO. Yes, there were incentives, and it would help her pursue her own dreams sooner. After the unexpected death of his, in name only, father, Lincoln returns to NYC only to find himself in the midst of family drama and being named the CEO of the family business; much to the displeasure of his brother. Lincoln has spent most of his life avoiding his family, so he is not a happy camper being asked to give up his charitable life, establishing water access for third world countries. Working together, both find themselves attracted to each other, sparking an electric chemistry that could set off fireworks. When Wren agreed to this job with Lincoln’s mother, she had no knowledge of what a manipulative, crazy woman she truly was. At the threat of a scandal, Wren is forced to choose between her family and the broody, cynical Lincoln who she deeply cared for. Lincoln decides he had a few things to say about that, especially since he felt quite strongly about Wren.
Wren and Lincoln might be strong, determined, and stubborn but they brought out the best in each other. I loved Lincoln’s grandmother, his G-Mom, and her machinations to remove Lincoln from his unhappy and toxic parents. Lincoln’s brother Armstrong was difficult to like as well as understand his outrageous behavior and temper. The close relationship between Lincoln and his cousins said a lot about Lincoln’s view on family. Wren’s parents were amazing and supportive; not allowing anyone or anything to get the best of them. Then there is the mystery condo owned by Lincoln’s father and the unexpected answers found when pursuing that lead.
Ms. Hunting wrote a wonderful, steamy, and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Wren and Lincoln a chance for happiness, love and a future together, one neither expected. I highly recommend Handle with Care to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This book is a great rom-com with exceptional characters and twists. Wren and Lincoln are the best enemies to lovers situation.
Lincoln tried so hard the separate everything about himself from his family, but unfortunately could no longer do so after his father passed. Wren was assigned to make sure Lincoln adjusted well to running the family media business, while making sure his brother’s outburst were also handle. They seemed so opposite yet both have a passion for charity outreach. Over the time they spend together and crazy events that lead to changes of hearts a love connection they never expected happens. Such a great book. Couldn’t put it down. Hope there is more to come from other characters in the series.
From Mills to Moorehead and all those in between, these men just keep getting better and better!
It’s hard not to fall in love with Lincoln from page one. This guy is oozing goodness – maybe not from the moment we meet him, but definitely for the rest of the story. Is he perfect? No, but his broodiness and grumpy personality is warranted, and it’s easy to see why pretty early on. And once you break past that gruff exterior, he’s a great guy. He’s funny, smart, altruistic, and slightly awkward at times. And I think that quality makes him even more endearing. Add in his blatant sex appeal, and you have the recipe for a perfectly imperfect book boyfriend.
Wren is a force to be reckoned with. Her take-charge attitude is a delight to see and I love watching her wield her power over the men she’s in charge of. She isn’t afraid to tell it like it is, she won’t take no for an answer, and she’s not above getting physical if the situation calls for it. She’s full of sass, sarcasm, and sweetness, and is an absolute delight to watch.
I love this book and this story! Witty banter, plenty of heat, snarky bickering, and awkward moments galore, this book is tons of fun but still manages to take you on a roller coaster of emotions. It’s a classic Helena Hunting rom-com that you can’t pass up. This one is a definite must-read for me. Lincoln and Wren are too good to miss!
Eek, this book was so fantastic. The perfect combination of sweet, snarky, witty and romantic with a dash of mystery added in for good measure. Lincoln and Wren are a match made in heaven. Their immediate chemistry had me hooked from the beginning.
Lincoln’s transformation from brooding mountain man to sexy NYC business man had me drooling right a long side Wren. Who can resist a charming clean cut Adonis carved from marble? He’s got a heart of gold, brains to match and has his priorities straight. He’s the perfect book boyfriend. Wren is Lincoln‘s perfect match!! She’s a ball busting, super smart, boss babe. She’s gorgeous and sassy, and cares deeply for her circle of family and friends. She’s adoring and loyal. There’s no one better to stand by Lincoln’s side
I’m still fairly new to Helena Hunting’s books but I’m quickly becoming addicted to her writing style. I loved everything about this book!
I adored this book so, so much. Ms. Hunting did a fantastic job developing not only the characters but the storyline.
Linc has done his best to keep away from his family and all the drama that surrounds it, but after his father dies he’s been put in charge of Moorehead Media, the family company, with a little coercion from his shameless grandmother. Not having any other choice but to step up, Linc finds himself taking a responsibility he didn’t want or asked for. Wren has hopes and dreams and when a new opportunity is presented to her, she sees the chance she’s been waiting for to make those dreams come true. What Wren never expected was the attraction to the grouchy guy she was supposed to handle.
First of all let me say that the chemistry between these two is smoking hot, they’re both incredibly strong willed which causes them to clash all the time. Linc is rough around the edges and loves his privacy, Wren is sassy and very sociable, you would think they’re so different that they wouldn’t be a good match but all their differences are really what bring them together.
The writing flows beautifully and the characters are entertaining, sweet, and sexy. A story so engaging I read it in just a few hours. Loved it!
I don’t know how it’s possible, but I’m starting to feel like every time I read a new book by Helena Hunting, it some how starts to feel like they just keep getting better and better.
That’s completely the case here with Handle with Care. This was Hunting’s masterpiece.
The chemistry between the main characters had spark and sizzle. The side characters were fantastic. We got to see a lot of old favs (and not so favs). But what I loved the most was the slight mystery aspect. It made the story exciting and I loved the twist.
I absolutely recommend reading the entire Shacking Up series. Each story is unique and wonderful.
New favorite of the series!
Lincoln is the perfect grumpy and unwilling CEO and Wren is the perfect woman to make sure that unwillingness doesn’t become a new family scandal…but there’s only so many times she can see him in his tighty-whities, and even less, and not think about starting some scandalous behavior of her own!
Wren’s competence and confidence was a huge turn on for not only Lincoln but for me too! I love that she was written as super strong but wasn’t forced into that “bitchy boss” box. Watching Lincoln rile her up and then fall in love with her was so much fun!
I also really enjoyed the exploration of Lincoln’s family and their less than functional dynamics and history and the way that loss and grief can be shaped and reshaped.
I’ve still only read the last three books of the series but I fully intend to read the first two, I even have hard copies waiting on my shelf!, but I can say with some serious confidence that Helena Hunting is a new favorite of mine!
I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.
Fresh, hilariously cute, touching and mysterious at times, Wren and Lincoln’s story is very entertaining. I just love this author’s brand of enemies-to-lovers romance.
The relationship between Wren and Lincoln is believable. Despite their differences, their chemistry is so wonderful and undeniable. The thing I loved the most about them was how honest they were with each other, they cleared all misunderstanding just by talking, there was no pointless drama.
I liked how the plot mostly focused on the development of the main characters. The plot wasn’t super intense, the tension was mostly to find in the way Wren and Lincoln’s romance developed and in their conflictual relationship with Lincoln’s family. Their relationship develops while working and interacting together. Their constant bickering about Wren’s micro-management of Lincoln’s life brings them closer. I loved the transition of their relationship from being awkward to being able to communicate well with each other. Their romance was so heartwarming and I loved the way they stand by each other through thick and thin.
Lincoln is determined, genuine and headstrong. He chose his own path in life, but his father’s recent death changed everything. His family needs him to manage the company and he doesn’t like his new life. Lincoln and Wren have been thrust together by circumstances and needless to say sparks fly.
Wren may not have Lincoln’s privileged background, but she makes up for it in spunk and intelligence. She was hired to manage Armstrong Moorehead’s reputation in the media and overhaul his disastrous public image. She is efficient, shrewd, witty and has managed to keep Armstrong under control. I loved Wren’s character so much. She was so strong and a pure force to be recon with. She keeps Lincoln entertained, she is snarky, pushy and he appreciates that she refuses to bow to him.
With everything they go through, I was so glad that they were able to get the happy ending that they deserved.
I really enjoyed this last one in the series.
At least I think it’s the last one…
The mysterious brother Lincoln has returned to take over the family company after the death of his father. Of course, he has to deal with his a-hole brother Armstrong and his “handler” Wren. While Lincoln is dealing with being in NYC, and in once place longer than he wants, Wren is dealing with the Moorehead men as best as she can: Armstrongs PR nightmares, her and Lincoln’s mutual attraction, and drama from their mother.
The cousins from other books in this series make appearances, and really round out the story.
OMG, I FLOVED Lincoln and Wren. This will definitely be on my top reads for the year!
I adored Wren from the moment we meet her on the page. She’s a girl who can take care of herself and strong, funny, witty and the perfect match for the lumberjack turned GQ modern man – Lincoln.
Lincoln is nothing like his family and was quite the surprise to Wren who was hired to handle Lincoln’s younger brother – keeping his indiscretions out of the public eye. So when Wren gets handed Lincoln to make him pleasing to the public eye – she never expects to fall for the guy.
These two were fun and super sexy together. Lincoln is definitely the jelly to Wren’s peanut butter, they were just the perfect fit from the start. I loved Lincoln’s transparency. What you saw was what you got. And coming back to deal with his douchbag brother and uptight mother while trying to figure out why his now-deceased father was always so absent from his life growing up. This is a book that will have you laughing and crying and taking you on a rollercoaster of a ride!
Absolutely LOVE!
Goddd I loved this book!
I loved watching Wren “handle” Lincoln!!! Helena Hunting did an excellent job creating these characters! Lincoln is very resistant to her help with transitioning into his new role after his father passes.
I loved their banter back and forth!
When their relationship finally took off, it was perfect!
I wish there were more books in this series!
5 stars!
Another fabulous book by Helena hunting I couldn’t put down it was so good I really enjoyed characters and everything about this book loved every second. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Handle with Care is the perfect rom com from Helena Hunting. Another 5 star read by this brilliant author!
It follows the relationship of Wren and Lincoln. Wren is a people person and a “handler” at Moorehead Media and after the death of his father, our male lead, Lincoln, returns home to attend his fathers funeral and gets guilted into running the show since his younger brother Armstrong proves he’s just not cut out for the job.
The chemistry between Lincoln and Wren is red hot and instantaneous, although to their credit, they fight like hell to deny and evade it. Eventually though, tough love wins and they both get what they’ve been vying for, as do we, the readers.
Helena has a fluent and rich writing style that you just can’t get enough of and always infuses the perfect blend of drama, humour, romance and heat into all her titles. Handle with Care is no different. With cameos of some of our favourite characters of the series, this book is an absolute must read!
Now I need Armstrong’s story! That would make for one hell of a redemption tale. It’d be interesting to see who “handles” that man.

Helena Hunting is always at the top of my MUST READ pile.
Lincoln and Wren
I love this story.
So many secrets come to light.
People’s lives are changed.
5 Stars for this book and series.
I recommend this book to everyone
“You and me? We were an inevitability. Sooner or later, one of us was going to cave.”
Helena Hunting never disappoints. She creates page-turners, scorching hot stories with a dose of light, fun and emotional accent. Her heroes are amazing individuals, driven and with so much love to give and take. Lincoln is my new ultimate book boyfriend! And Wren, a new brave best friend.
After the sudden death of his father, Lincoln has to come back home and help with running a family business. They need him more than ever because his brother Armstrong slowly ruins a family legacy. Lincoln isn’t tight with family, especially with younger brother, but for his grandma, he agrees to take a hold over the business. But he wasn’t expecting to find his match in a world of manipulation, false and greed.
Wren is a PR consultant. She is a witty, loyal and strong woman. Her job and attention revolve around Armstrong, smoothing scandals, controlling his image and behavior as well. For the sake of business, she agreed to take care of older Moorehead brother, but Wren wasn’t ready for Lincoln charm, chin dimple, and amazing personality. I wasn’t ready for him.
At first, very reluctant toward each other and controlled by work policy, soon they couldn’t stop the intense pull and slowly blossoming feelings. But in a world of blackmailing and secrets, nobody is safe. Can their relationship last?
Helena Hunting created amazing enemies to lovers story with a dose of suspense. I could read Handle With Care again and again. Wren and Lincoln were perfect together. I loved how their relationship build-up, their sexy times, funny interactions and emotional moments.
And the thing I loved the most: remaining faithful to your morals, beliefs, and family. Courage to fight with your enemies, not bending to their feet.
