New York Times bestselling author of SHACKING UP and I FLIPPING LOVE YOU Helena Hunting mixes humor and heart in this scandal-filled romantic comedy.HE WANTS TO LOSE CONTROL.Between his parents’ messed up marriage and his narcissistic younger brother, Lincoln Moorehead has spent the majority of his life avoiding his family. After the death of his father, Lincoln finds himself in the middle of the … death of his father, Lincoln finds himself in the middle of the drama. To top it all off, he’s been named CEO of Moorehead Media, much to his brother’s chagrin. But Lincoln’s bad attitude softens when he meets the no-nonsense, gorgeous woman who has been given the task of transforming him from the gruff, wilderness guy to a suave businessman
SHE’S TRYING TO HOLD IT TOGETHER.
Wren Sterling has been working double time to keep the indiscretions at Moorehead Media at bay, so when she’s presented with a new contract, with new responsibilities and additional incentives, she agrees. Working with the reclusive oldest son of a ridiculously entitled family is worth the hassle if it means she’s that much closer to pursuing her own dreams. What Wren doesn’t expect is to find herself attracted to him, or for it to be mutual. And she certainly doesn’t expect to fall for Lincoln. But when a shocking new Moorehead scandal comes to light, she’s forced to choose between her own family and the broody, cynical CEO.

I never thought I would say this…but Lincoln Moorehead just kicked Lexington Mills right off the pedestal I had him on and has claimed his spot as my favorite guy from the ‘Shacking Up’ series! Ugh, Lincoln is just all of the best things wrapped up in one very handsome package.
Lincoln has done his best to stay away from New York and away from his family. When his father passes away, he’s forced to come back, not only for the funeral, but to take over as CEO for Moorehead Media. This is only for 6 months, and Lincoln isn’t pleased, but when he meets his ‘handler’ he realizes maybe New York isn’t as bad as he thought.
Wren has one goal, and Armstrong Moorehead is a stepping stone to that goal. However after the unexpected passing of Fredrick Moorehead, Wren gets a new contract, not only working with Armstrong, but also with his older brother Lincoln. She’s ready to handle Lincoln just like she handles Armstrong but the more time she spends with him she realizes the brothers couldn’t be more opposite. As the two spend more time together, their attraction becomes harder to ignore, can they keep it professional or will they throw caution to the wind?
Helena never disappoints. I’ve read every book, and never, not once have I been disappointed. ‘Handle With Care’ had my laughing out loud at times, and feeling like my heart was going to break at others. The banter between Lincoln and Wren was out of this world hilarious, and the way she handled Armstrong was AMAZING! These two characters were fun and their chemistry jumped off of the pages. This was a book that I refused to put down (sorry boss for not getting any work done…lol). I have to say though, as much as I can’t stand Armstrong, I almost want him to get his own book where he redeems himself and proves all the haters wrong. Regardless, Lincoln is the hero we all need, and Wren is the sassy heroine we want to be!
Lincoln Moorehead becomes the heir and CEO of Moorehead Media after his father’s passing, but he is not ready nor does he want such a promotion. That’s where Wren Sterling comes in. She is tasked to prepare him in take over the company. Can she wrangle this Moorehead, who wants nothing to do with the company? It has to be easier than “handling” his brother Armstrong…right? This is part of the Shacking up series and Armstrong’s Brother. You are going to laugh out loud at some parts of this romantic comedy. As always the side characters are also fantastic. Armstrong is as juvenile as ever and that’s being nice! I’m loving Lincoln and Wren! Told in dual POV
4.5/5 STARS
Gruffy and hot male hero. Checked.
Strong and badass heroine. Checked.
So yes, I totally got the hots for Lincoln Moorehead, and Wren is my new idol.
I love how opposite they were and still ow great the felt for each other.
Any Romcom from Helena Hunting is a safe bet for me, I know she’ll always deliver, so this book was no exception.
I may have wished a little more developments, because some plots came near the end, but the author dealt with it in a way that was enough to enjoy all the positive (and sometimes unexpected) effects it brought to several characters.
And don’t let me start with the hotness that is Lincoln…
And the banter, the sexual tension…
And of course, so many cameos.
It was absolutely delightful, and I can’t wait for the next books and/or series from Helena Hunting
One of my favorite reads this summer!!

I guess I am officially a fan of Helena Hunting. This is my 3rd book of hers that I’ve read and I have found her stories to be so funny, cute, and sexy. Even when told in first person POV, which is not my usual go to POV. Usually I really dislike first person narratives but Helena Hunting’s stories suck me in so well that I don’t even notice it anymore. In Handle With Care, Wren and Lincoln’s chemistry is palpable right from the start. I loved their interactions. They were so cute. Wren is a very strong woman. She can totally take care of herself and she doesn’t take BS from anyone. Loved that about her. And Lincoln. He was just hilarious. I loved his character. The things he says. The way he acts. He’s just perfect. Even though the majority of the story was fun there are some parts that pulled at my heartstrings and made me shed a tear or two. Really enjoyed this story and how everything played out.
*I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book*
Handle With Care is such a wonderful conclusion to an great series. The book is funny with just the right amount of drama. The things that happen in this book are going to blow your mind in the best possible way.
Anyone who reads Helena Hunting’s books will know that her characters are usually pretty amazing. They are never one dimensional, they are a melting pot of all the best, and worse characteristics a person can have. Lincoln and Wren are no exception. Lincoln is this broody man with such a big heart, and he loves to mess with Wren in the best possible ways, you can’t help but fall in love with him. Wren is a badass, she is sweet, kind and will not hesitate to knock some heads together. She is just want this series needed.
I’m sad to say goodbye to this series, but this book really makes it worth the journey.
Handle With Care is a wonderfully fun-filled, sexy and warmhearted addition to Helena Hunting’s Shacking up series.
Lincoln Moorhead wanted nothing to do with his drama filled family, much less be part of their business dealings. However when his grandmother asks for his help after his father’s death, he’s unable to say no, but his surly disposition is assuaged by the beauty who’s been hired to help transform his wild and curt image into that of the polished head of company.
Wren Sterling is a smart, capable and independent woman with a goal. To achieve it she must first work with the newly appointed CEO of Moorehead Media, the do gooder oldest son of the recently deceased owner. She never expected to like the bristly recluse, much less fall in love with him. But will she choose him when she’s forced to pick between love and family?
I always get excited when I see there’s a new Helena Hunting book coming out because she unfailingly creates wonderfully fun to read stories that leave this booklover very satisfied. In “Handle With Care” we meet Wren Sterling, a PR consultant who knows how to do her job including, but not limited to, manhandling self-absorbed, tantrum throwing man-boys, a.k.a. Lincoln’s younger brother Armstrong.
Despite being dismayed by having to go back to New York, Lincoln is absolutely captivated by the witty, snarky woman who doesn’t put up with anyone’s BS. Their initial verbal sparring is fun to read and soon transforms into delicious flirting and a deeper connection when Lincoln finds himself trusting Wren while she sees the genuinely sweet and honest man behind the cynical gruff.
Both Wren and Lincoln are delightful characters on their own and as a couple. He’s giving and charismatic while she’s strong and smart. I loved that they both behaved maturely when things got tough. Their romance had the perfect amount of sexy fun, drama and heart. I just adored everything about it!
Handle with Care is book #5 of the Shacking Up series by Helena Hunting. It is a standalone contemporary romance told from both points of view with a happy ending.
“Dear sweet baby Jesus riding a unicorn.”
Is it hot in here or is it SCORCHING HOT in here!!
Helena has created the hottest, swooniest brothers that could make water boil with one of their sexy looks.
Lincoln Morehead is not only a Mountain man physically but he has an immensely generous heart to match. His swoonworthy good looks, dimpled chin had me tripping over with lust.
“I don’t know how every man who crosses your path doesn’t fall in love with you. Everything about you is incredible.”
That’s the thing that attracts his Babysitter/Handler, Wren to him more than his millions.
She’s not a bottom feeder or social climber, she genuinely falls for him and thus begins their secretive love affair which suffers opposition form his mom and idiot brother
“God, she pisses me off and makes me hot at the same time. I’ve never encountered a woman who I simultaneously want to screw and tell to screw off.”
The story is again pure perfection in narration, in plot, in characterisation and the twists and turns.
Apparently there are many secrets in the Morehead penthouse that need to be taken care of!!
“The truth doesn’t always set you free,Sometimes it becomes the noose around your neck. You’d be wise to remember that.”
Story is full signature Helena style of very witty banter & smart Ass ribbing, but there’s also a lot of heart.
Wren is kick Ass, takes no Shit kinda gal and the way she puts Armstrong in his place was so impressive, I might have had a teeny tiny crush on her.
Smoothly flowing, fun to read, sparkling with humor and wit, this story just touches your heart and you won’t forget it easily.
5 stars for Red Tints
Not having read the earlier books in the Shacking Up series, I was concerned that I would struggle to figure out what was happening. It was a pretty smooth transition and I enjoyed the strong, interesting and likable characters, in this humorous romance novel. Take a bad humored stud and place him with a strong, “take no prisoners”, smart female, and you have an interesting situation.
I now have to go back and check out the others that came before.
My thanks to #HelenaHunt and #StMartin’sPaperbacks for this fun and entertains read.
4 to 4.5 stars
Lincoln has avoided his family as much as possible since he was 10 years old. His home life was cold and unloving most of the time, so when he was sent away to private school he seized that opportunity to go back only on very limited occasions. His cousin Griffin became his best friend and more a brother to him than his blood, the waste of oxygen and walking sexual harassment suit waiting to happen aka Armstrong.
Now duty requires that he return from the wilds living off the grid doing humanitarian work in third world countries in order to attend his father’s funeral in NYC. Since the man was a virtual stranger to Linc, he has no plans to stick around until his firecracker grandmother who he affectionately calls G Mom lays a guilt trip on him. As the only family member he truly loves and who has always loved him, she is in a unique position to convince him to get the family business back in shape.
His glorified babysitter/ handler is a whole new wrinkle that he was not expecting. Wren was originally hired to try to control Armstrong’s bad behavior and resulting negative publicity, so working with Linc should be a cakewalk. Throw in some childish pouting, bad manners and complete unwillingness to cooperate with her and she is ready to rethink her acceptance of this new position regardless of the doors it will open for her in the future courtesy of support and a recommendation from Linc’s socialite mother. Add a little inconvenient simmering attraction between her and her new charge, especially after he cleans up quite nicely, and things get interesting fast!
Nothing is what they expected though. Secrets of the past from both their families threaten everything if exposed, and Lincoln’s mother shows her true colors. My thoughts on that woman cannot be shared with polite society but I am sure you can use your imagination! Needless to say, both Lincoln and Wren’s worlds are turned upside down and inside out in the space of a month, and they have to decide if their amazing chemistry and growing love is worth risking so much pain to others when those big secrets are revealed.
Handle with Care is another amazing read and great addition to Ms. Hunting’s Shacking Up series!
Helena Hunting’s Handle With Care was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lincoln Moorehead has been working for charitable organizations around the world but is called home due to the death of his father. Once Lincoln returns he finds out he is the new CEO of his family’s company. As if that wasn’t a shock he finds out he has a “handler.” Wren Sterling doesn’t really aspire to be a “handler” she really wants to start a children’s charity. But until then she uses her “handler” talents to help her reach her goal. A strange relationship develops between Lincoln and Wren. At first, there is a mutual distrust between the two. But as time goes by they must acknowledge the chemistry between them. Together they work through their own family lies and secrets. I would recommend this book.
Handle With Care is my second Helena Hunting and I totally loved it!! Wren and Lincoln were HOT!! You have handsome mountain man transformed into sexy, ruggedly handsome CEO and the PR consultant tasked with “handling” him to transition into his new position at his family’s media business. Lincoln Moorehead only returns to NYC because of his father has passed away. This is one pretty dysfunctional family and lots of resentment between Lincoln and his father. While searching to understand his new responsibilities as CEO and his father, Lincoln discovers a double life. I must say this is one plot I have never read before. It was done well. Lincoln’s mom on the other hand, is a piece of work. She is manipulative, cold, and puts her children behind money and power. The bedroom scenes were HOT. I really did not want to put the book down. There are lots of ways that I could spoil the book if I give too many details. Not happening. If you like Helena Hunting, you will like Wren and Lincoln’s story. I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review. 5 stars*****
Handle with care is a story that reads like a soap opera! Its entertaining, has so much drama and dilemmas surrounding the characters and the sizzling chemistry between Linc and Wren is hot!
Wren is definitely a take charge woman who can handle her own! Shes now become Lincoln’s handler as he helps his family’s company as CEO!
Needless to say what eventuates is nothing short of an enjoyable story! I love this book so much and its a fantastic addition to the series and definitely a book to be devoured with characters that will make you feel happy!
How do I love this book? Let me count the ways, lol. As is usual for me, I am never disappointed in a Helena Hunting title. Her style of writing has always been the main aspect that keeps me coming back for more. Her characters are flawed and complex and while their backstories can be intense and even sad, there is always humor to balance out the emotions. This particular book had me laughing in so many places. Smiling constantly and having to explain to my daughter why I constantly have a goofy expression on my face. Never mind the glowing smile I’m showboating by the last page. This author’s style of writing is fun and refreshing with a ton of sexy banter and characters you can’t help but to fall in love with.
Handle With Care is the fifth book in the Shacking Up series. I loved them all but there was just a little extra something in this book that made this a perfect, all the feels, all the boxes checked, read. If you are a Helena Hunting fan, than I don’t have to explain. If you are new to her, then I wish you happy reading. You’ll love her writing and I absolutely recommend her as a must read author.
Lincoln and Wren…..
Wren currently works for Moorehead Media (Lincoln’s family’s company) as a handler for Armstrong who is Lincoln’s younger brother. Armstrong is a complete misogynistic jerk who doesn’t know how to be discreet or respectful. He is always in trouble and Wren was hired to keep him in line. Lincoln has been out of the country, intentionally for years. He doesn’t hide how much he despises his family but when his father’s heart attack forces him back to New York to take over the family business, it is Lincoln that will need Wren’s attention. You’ll enjoy finding out why, lol.
While Lincoln isn’t a business attire, CEO of a prestigious media company type of guy, he is a gentleman. Lincoln is intelligent and selfless and he is one of, if not, my favorite hero of this series.
I don’t want to say too much about how the story goes. There is a significant suspense element that kept me completely engaged. And while I had some ideas of what was going on, I was just as surprised as Lincoln when the resolution came. That said, the confrontation with the antagonist was one of my favorite moments. I strongly believe in karma. And I love it even more when it has a little push. Trust me on this one my friends…….this is a must read! Add this book to your TBRs.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
We begin our journey to love with Wren trying to get a drunk Lincoln Moorehead to his suit without making the tabloids. How had she gotten to this point in her life where she essentially was babysitting rich, spoiled, men. When Linc wakes the next morning he is not only hungover but extremely confused as to how he got to his room and in his bed. His father passed away and he was forced to come back and now he is going to have to take over the family business to keep his irresponsible brother from squandering everything.
This book is a somewhat enemies to lovers with the exception Wren and Lincoln aren’t actually enemies. More like she is a irritation to him but he finds he enjoys her sass and the more he is around her the more he respects and comes to depend on her. She thought Lincoln was a spoiled, brooding, lumberjack but when she gets to know him she discovers there is so much more to this handsome man and she loses her heart in the process.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved everything about it from the beginning to the end. There are so many funny moments it had me laughing out loud, there are also serious parts where your heart will break a little. There are surprises along the way, no spoilers here, but it keeps you guessing along the way. All the characters are well thought out and developed and I got wrapped up in this book. I received a copy from Netgalley to read and review and give my honest opinion. I loved it and I highly recommend it.
I read a LOT- so it’s worth mentioning that about 50% in, there’s a moment that makes me laugh harder than I have while reading in a long time. Lincoln is such a grumpy butthead, but it seems he turned out great considering his family. And Wren has been dealing with his brother, the man we all love to hate, and now has to handle Lincoln. Though that doesn’t turn out so bad. I love that she’s tough and can hold her own. I also love his grandma. And I love that Wren is the calming presence in his life he can lean on.
I am so addicted to this series. I think each book gets better and better. I was lucky enough to read this right after Making Up, so now my only regret isn’t having a book after this to dive into and keep going.
Lincoln was a sexy man beast and I loved him!! His and Wren’s dynamic was awesome. Oddly enough, I loved how he hated his family. The way their relationship progressed was great and I appreciated that when Wren was faced with an awful situation, she didn’t internalize and do something stupid. She made an intelligent decision and things worked out, angst free with Lincoln. “Hoping” for one more in the series!
There is something to be said for characters who have layers. And Lincoln Moorehead has layers. For those of you chomping at the bit to find out more about him, his cousins, and dimwitted brother, Armstrong, then you’ll get all you want and more in this story.
Strong woman who negotiates chokeholds into her contract? Check
Pucked-type humor with sexy, strong, super tall men? Check
Interesting story with slightly flawed characters who have great personalities and qualities? Check
Bottom line up front: I loved this story and it was a perfect addition to the Shacking Up series
I adored that the story was multi-dimensional and made you wonder in which direction it was going to turn. Granted this family is grade A messed up outside of G-mom (I love her so much. She’s a total battleax in the best way) and Lincoln. My heart ached for him, how lost he seemed to be in his family. And that made me all the more thankful for his grandmother and Wren. For those Pucked enthusiasts, she reminds me a great deal of Violet (yeah, digest that one a bit). On the surface, these two wouldn’t be the first ones I paired together, but there’s no denying that when you get to the core of who they are, they couldn’t be better matched.
The only problem I had with this story is that it had to end.
Well, it’s official! Lincoln Moorehead has dethroned my beloved Bane Mills as my favorite Helena Hunting hero. I still love Bane dearly, but Lincoln was pretty much everything I love in a hero and more. He truly snuck up on me and I never expected the reclusive Moorehead sibling and beloved Mills cousin to be any competition for the #ChurchOfBaneCock. Boy, was I wrong! From the very beginning, I was pulled into the story and didn’t want it to end. Handle With Care is book 5 in the Shacking Up series, but can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend the previous books however, because they’re hilarious and characters from those books do appear in Handle With Care.
It’s so rare for me to love the hero and heroine equally, but this was definitely the case with Lincoln and Wren. I loved them so much both as individuals and as a couple. They had such electric chemistry and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them go head to head in this enemies to lovers/taboo office romance. They were both intelligent, driven, loyal, and stubborn people. They challenged each other and were so evenly matched. Both knew how to push the others buttons and that passionate banter and back and forth translated so deliciously well in the bedroom. I loved that once they were in, they were all in, and that there were no silly misunderstandings or unnecessary drama between them. They were an amazing team and handled problems maturely by communicating, listening, and supporting the other. The epilogue was sexy and sweet and left me with a happy heart and huge smile.
There were plenty of laughs in Handle With Care, but there were also more emotional moments too. The overall tone of the story was less playful than some of the previous books in the series, but it worked well with our characters and made me love the book more. G-mom was absolutely amazing and Armstrong and Gwendolyn played their roles perfectly. Handle With Care is my new favorite in the Shacking Up series (sorry Bane!) and you definitely don’t want to miss it!
*I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book*
I’m a little bit annoyed with myself, somewhere along the way I missed book 4 in the Shacking Up series, I will rectify this, luckily all the books can be read as standalones. Enough of that, what about Handle with Care, what to say, we’ll not surprisingly, it’s funny, addictive (I read it in one sitting), sexy, and entertaining. Faultless writing and wonderful characters, Wren Sterling is gorgeous and astute, she knows what she wants, she’s smart and humble. Lincoln Moorehead too, knows what he wants, he wants to be left alone to do good in the world, the last thing he wants is to take charge of Moorehead Media, but with G-Mom’s persuasion tactics and Wren’s ‘handling’ skills, he just might be the person for the job, temporarily of course. First of all he’s got to deal with an idiot of a brother, and a pushy mom, and all that that entails. I was hooked from the first page. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
After the death of his father, Lincoln must take over as CEO of the family company as his younger brother does not have the maturity or the wits to keep it going. Wren has been in charge of making sure that brother stays in line and the PR for the company stays positive. Working together in close quarters connects both Wren and Lincoln, and even though each has their own family baggage the sparks cannot be resisted. But when some secrets are revealed and others must stay hidden will the two fight together? Or will Wren be blackmailed into walking away from it all? With great characters and a storyline that had me guessing to the very end this was a wonderful read. Filled with charismatic characters and enough layers to the family baggage to keep the pages turning, Helena Hunting has once again taken the reader on a wild ride.
