“Holy shit. I’ve been so wrapped up in hating my family and this job that I failed to recognize I have a serious hard-on over my handler. Quite literally.”
Handle With Care kept me entertained from beginning to end. I have a fondness for alpha assholes and Lincoln fits that description perfectly. There are also quite a few other descriptions I could throw in that might not be exactly flattering but wouldn’t detract from his deliciousness in any way. Many women would like a taste of him, but she’s the one that’s captured his attention. “Half the time, my irritation and her snark seem a lot like flirting.”
The sparks fly between them from the beginning. She gives as good as she gets, and he likes it, even when he doesn’t want to. She tries to control herself around him. “For the most part, I avoid making prolonged eye contact with Lincoln because my panties feel like their going to explode when I do.” Yup, the explosion is inevitable, and it’s so fun to anticipate when it will happen. So, grab some popcorn and wine and enjoy the show. You won’t be disappointed.
Not only did the witty banter keep me giggle-snorting there was a bit of a mystery that kept me intrigued as well. Then there’s the sexual tension between the handler and the one that wants her hands all over him. I couldn’t find anything not to love about this story. I am especially excited about a new character that I hope to see featured in an upcoming installment. The line forms here…
Ahhh! An enemies to lovers rom-com from Helena is LIVE! I can’t wait to dive in!

A new enemies to lovers romance with a comedic twist! So exited for this one!!!!
I’ve enjoyed each book in this series of standalones, but Handle with Care is my absolute favorite. Lincoln and Wren are so much fun! If you look up book boyfriend in the dictionary, I’m pretty sure you’ll find Lincoln Moorehead’s picture. He’s a little grumpy, a lot sexy, and everything that his lech of a brother is not. The brothers are complete opposites, and our heroine, Wren, is charged with handling them both. And handle them, she does. In Wren, Helena Hunting has given us a leading lady who is strong enough to take care of herself while still projecting femininity. She knows how to get the job done and doesn’t care to get her hands dirty to accomplish her goals. The story is high on wit and humor and low on angst, making it perfect for a relaxing weekend read provided anyone around doesn’t mind the many times you burst out laughing. It’s loaded with terrific characters that keep the pages turning. Even the ones you really want to punch in the mouth – Ahem, Armstrong! I love that we see a couple of past favorites from the series, yet the book still stands on its own. All of that makes for a great story, but the best thing about this one is our romantic couple. Even before they seal the deal, Lincoln and Wren are two of best characters I’ve come across in romantic comedy. Both are likable, they have great chemistry, and they just mesh. Even when they’re butting heads over everything from haircuts to tuxedos, these two just work. I don’t know if the author has another book planned for this series, but I hope to see our bad boy, Armstrong meet his match. Whatever she does next, Hunting has set the bar high with this one.
4.5 STARS!
“Dear sweet baby Jesus riding a unicorn.”
Handle With Care by Helena Hunting is the final installment in the Shacking Up series. This is Lincoln’s time to shine and his story has been a long time coming y’all!
Lincoln Moorehead returns back to New York to help run the family company, Moorehead Media after the death of his father. One thing that must be said is that Lincoln is nothing like his douche brother Armstrong. They’re like oil and water.
Wren meets Lincoln at the bar of one of the Mills Hotels and she soon has to carry his drunk ass up to the penthouse. Lincoln, of course, has no recollection of the event so you can imagine how things go the next time they meet… And now they’ll be working together. Wren will be his PR image consultant. Sparks fly. Sexy banter commences. The pages are filled with lots of snark, plus equally sexy and sweet moments…
I loved Lincoln’s lumberjack look. With his long messy hair in a bun and his beard #beardgasm. Humble, humanitarian, and gorgeous! How can one not swoon over him #lesigh.
Wren does not take shit from anyone. She’s smart, independent, driven and sassy. Lincoln and her would constantly argue back and forth and in time they formed a team. They complimented each other perfectly!
Handle With Care was an exemplary office romance. Funny and adorable with great writing! Helena, thank you for these wonderful characters. I will miss them dearly. #ineedmore
What happens when your famous rich parents hire a public relations representative to handle your incompetent brother’s behavior? Or when they extend the contract to include yourself and there responsible for bringing you up to speed on the multimedia mogul company your now the acting CEO? You may ask yourself who’s the one that needs special care when handling? So much drama going on, great one-liners that only Helena Hunting can deliver with her style of wit and wisdom.
4.5 Stars
Lincoln’s father just died and his grandma wants him to take over the family business. Because his idiot of a brother Armstrong would run it into the ground within months.
Lincoln hates New York. He wants to build houses in Guatemala!
But he promised grandma he’ll stay for six months.
Enter Wren. She’s been hired by Lincoln’s mom to keep idiot Armstrong out of the tabloids and away from law suits. And now that wilderness-lumberjack Lincoln is back in town – she’s also been tasked with making him presentable.
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN …
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH WREN & LINCOLN?
WILL THERE BE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!
ADORABLE!
Another cute and funny and sparky and sexy and serious romance in this amazing series!
I just loved Lincoln and Wren. I loved how they just meet and argue and fall for each other and start seeing each other with no unnecessary drama and other stuff we usually get in books.
I just loved that. Then I hated the thing that happened at the 70% mark – I hated that it looked like they were going to do what all book people do and NOT talk to each other. But they did and I loved it.
The story was maybe not as funny and über-amazing as I wanted it to be… but I really loved the people in it and there were great moments.
I just love this series!
Can’t wait for more!
HANDLE WITH CARE was an adorable & funny & sexy office romace! I LOVED it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Lincoln – this one is MINE!!
4.5 Hearts!
So charming and cute! Handle with Care is such a fun and touching story. I fell hard for Lincoln and Wren and just cannot stop swooning over them. I haven’t read all the books in the Shaking Up series, but there’s no denying that this series is intoxicatingly GOOD! Helena Hunting seriously knows how to write adorable, sweet, sexy, and heartfelt romance stories that will make you smile, laugh, swoon, cry, and captivated until the very last page. And yes, I’ll admit it now… I got teary eyed a few times.
Hunting’s storytelling is simply addictive and amazing that I was enamored with this book. I enjoyed the writing, the pacing, the character development and all the surprises throughout the story. The plot is entertaining with plenty of angst, family drama, steamy scenes and endearing moments. I laughed out loud a few times, got a bit frustrated, felt my heart break, swooned like crazy and fell in love with the story and characters… well most of them anyway. I don’t want to spoil anything, but the last few chapters and the ending definitely filled my heart with millions of warm fuzzies that left me smiling and so darn happy.
Wren is a fantastic heroine and I adore her completely. She’s confident, determined, fiesty, and strong. She doesn’t let anyone take advantage of her and always says what’s on her mind. She definitely has a rough edge, but she also cares and loves deeply.
Lincoln stole a piece of my heart. He’s sexy, broody, adorable, funny, and incredibly swoony. He does have a temper and a bit impatient at times, but Lincoln definitely has a sweet and gentle side and a heart of gold. I love his relationship with his grandmother and the work his doing for other communities that need help. And that totally makes him irresistibly swoony and one of my favorite book boyfriends I got to meet this year.
I absolutely love the romance in this book! Wren and Lincoln are fantastic together. The sexual tension between them is so hot and swoony. I love their chemistry, their playful bantering, their sexy times and all their emotionally touching scenes. I enjoyed their relationship from start to finish and seeing them handle things together. I love how supportive they are and how much they’re willing to do for each other. Such a perfect couple and I wholeheartedly rooted for them.
With plenty of heartwarming moments, swoony scenes, and an adorably sexy romance with all the feels, Handle with Care by Helena Hunting had me utterly smitten, feeling giddy, and smiling like a dork. But more than anything, I love that this book has heart… it’s an achingly wonderful story about family, love, forgiveness, second chances, and new beginnings. Really loved this one and cannot wait to read more from Hunting.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another blockbuster from Helena Hunting! I swear she gets better each time! With lots of sensitivity, lots of humor, lots of feeling, she threads a lovely story about a wildebeest of a man, the woman who handles him and makes a CEO out of him.
Lincoln Moorehead comes to New York City for his father’s funeral. His grandmother, whom he affectionally calls G-mom, convinces him to stay for six months and take over the company because his younger brother is useless. Armstrong Moorehead is a narcissistic a-hole with a legion of sexual harassment cases and temper tantrums. We saw him first in Hooking Up and learned about his bad ways.
Wren has been working with Armstrong for months, trying to clean up his act, and in the absence of improving his manners, has taken to manipulate and control him, using self-defense action, menace, and child psychology. Now that Lincoln has arrived to take over, she’s tasked with handling Linc also. He’s a giant of a man, with long hair and bushy beard, atrocious clothes that seem two sizes smaller than they should be and the manners of a bull in a glass shop. Wren is tenacious, snarky and determined so she takes the bear on, and Lincoln is entertained and entranced with her. He cooperates somewhat, and she coerces, bullies and connives to get him spruced up and ready to look the part of an executive. Lincoln is a Harvard graduate, he just prefers to work in poor countries building habitats than joining the rat race. He doesn’t care about the trappings of New York’s financial world but his G-mom and Wren are the incentives to do this job.
The initial parts when Linc and Wren are inveigled in their battle of wills and wits to wrestle Linc into shape are entertaining and comical. Linc ignores the million messages, emails, phone calls and voice mails that Wren sends, out of pure mischief due to his reluctance to deal and also to see what Wren does. He likes to walk around the penthouse in his tighty whiteys just to see Wren drool and stutter. Wren got accustomed to the beautiful sight that is Linc semi-naked and loves dressing him like an oversized toddler. They are such a cute pair! Eventually, there are workplace intrigues, family intrigues, and the increasing attraction and affection that develops between those two. One of the things that I liked most was how upfront Wren was. In all her dealings, she was true and sincere and honest. She always dealt with honor and integrity, which is what made Linc fall so hard. On the other hand, although Linc was wayward and exasperating, inside that gorgeous body and face was a man with a good heart who was mourning a father who died, whom he never really knew, and a family that never felt like a family should. Wren’s no-nonsense and direct manner is what won him over because she didn’t bend over to please him. I also loved their squabbles, they were like foreplay and so endearing.
Another thing I loved is seeing characters from other books and appreciate all the ways they are inter-connected. This book was like a breeze of fresh air on a hot summer day, entertaining, feel-good, fun and adorable.
Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln, oh how you make me swoon. There is just something about a man that will put doing good above making the almighty dollar that really calls to me and that is Lincoln through and through. He and his brother, Armstrong, couldn’t be more different if they tried, where Armstrong is 100% about making the almighty dollar and screwing every woman that crosses his path, Lincoln would rather be in a third world country working hard to get them better living conditions and he has much more respect for women than Armstrong does. I mention his brother because it’s the reason Lincoln is back in the states for a while, his father has just passed away and named him CEO of their family company, Moorehead Media, his grandmother begs him to stay on for six months so his brother doesn’t run it into the ground and she can find someone to help run the company in his absence.
Another reason Armstrong is important to bring up is because of Wren, it’s her job to keep him in line and make sure he doesn’t do anything to embarrass himself or the company and this poor woman deserves every cent she makes! Wren now has to make sure Lincoln doesn’t get out of line either, but honestly with him she doesn’t need to work nearly as hard.
The chemistry between Wren and Lincoln was great! This was a steamy, fun read that will have you falling in love with Wren and Lincoln from the very first page. If you enjoy Contemporary Romances that fall into the Office Romance trope this is a must read!!!! I would love to say that I can’t wait for Armstrong’s HEA but honestly I don’t know how Helena Hunting will ever find a woman that would put up with his crap and make him change for the better, right now he just seems lost…but I do hope it happens for him.
Happy Reading!!!
Lincoln has spend most of his time avoiding his family because of all the drama. When his father dies, Lincoln is left with the family company much to his brother’s objection. Wren has been working to keep the company out of the scandals of the media. She is tasked with helping Lincoln look like the CEO of the company. She never expected to fall for her boss. Lincoln never expected to be attracted to a woman like Wren. A wonderful office romance that I recommend.
I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.
Helena Hunting has a way of writing funny books that have you laughing out loud one minute and breathing heavy from a steamy scene the next. Handle With Care is typical HH and you should one click!
I´m really loving this series by Helena Hunting, and every time a new one is released I run to read it, I love these character and can´t get enough of them. This story was really addictive, even though I didn´t have lots of time to read it I found myself making space or taking advantage of every minute I had to read it, and honestly it was so fun, light, sexy, romantic and with two protagonists that were perfect for each other. Totally worth it!!
I’ve got to say this is my favourite Shaking Up series book.
Lincoln & Wren have an unusual start to their relationship. They are essential thrown together by Lincoln’s mother when he is forced to return home following the untimely death of his father & Wren is tasked as his handler to help him adjust to the role. The role he’s conned into to taking by his G-mom, as his a%&£*¥e brother isn’t capable of running a bath never mind the family business. They have to negotiate a raft of family dynamics, some startling revelations from the past & 2 narcissistic family members to get to their happily ever after.
Helena’s books are full of great banter from sassy, smart heroines & hunky, interesting heros. Handle with Care doesn’t fail to deliver on that. Wren doesnt take any nonsense from Lincoln, going as far as to threaten him with laser treatment if he grows his beard back.
It’s a fun read with enough twists & angst to keep it page turning.
What a fun addition to the Shaking Up series! Helena Hunting never fails to deliver a wonderful blend of romance, humor and drama and Handle With Care was exactly that.
I LOVED Wren. The way she roped in Armstrong (ugh- yes, he’s still lurking around). But more for the way she saw Lincoln. How she used his strengths to help build up his weaknesses. How she helped him step in and up to handle things.
I connected so much with Lincoln. A lover of the outdoors, getting your hands dirty, working to change things that have a big impact. Not fretting over the small things that in the grand scheme of things don’t really matter. His relationship with G-mom. How he shut down Armstrong (throws confetti). how when his hand was forced, he did what he had to do.
Holy smokes! The web of deceit and secrets Lincoln stumbled upon while trying to sort things out. His range of emotions- from shock to confusion to anger were totally justified. Heck, my jaw was on the floor. And through it all there was this growing, bubbling sexual tension. The anticipation was so worth the way though. Wren and Lincoln’s chemistry was off the charts hot!
Helena Hunting went for it with this one and it paid off big time. This office romance, with a touch of the forbidden, lots of laughs and a whole lot of family drama kept me glued to my kindle. Wren and Lincoln’s story was the perfect bridge between the Mills and Moorehead family connection. After finishing Handle with Care I am really looking forward to see what’s coming up next in this series.
Oh. My. Gosh. Helena Hunting always, ALWAYS makes me swoon with her characters, wow.
Wren is awesome and badass and won’t take s**t from anyone, she can bring a person down to their knees within seconds. She has her goals in life and works hard to reach it. She works for the rich but isn’t after what they have, she’s determined to start up her own, she’s so admirable, she’s a truly amazing heroine and I just love her a lot.
Lincoln, this guy has had so much stuff to deal with. Having lived the life he had it’s no wonder he is the way he is around family but even after everything he’s still amazing. He’s passionate about what he does and you can’t help but fall for him.
Watching these two go from sniping at each other to friends is so refreshing. I absolutely loved this book so much! Their chemistry is off the charts hot and their banter is so damn perfect you’ll just fall completely for them.
My love for these two is beyond everything I ever expected.
Helena is one of a few authors that has me instantly clicking her new releases. Her writing gets better with every new release and always blows my mind. She always delivers and never fails to impress with her writing and Handle With Care Just goes to show just how amazing her writing is.
I can’t wait to see if this series gets more books, I never want them to end.
Handle With Care is a slow burn office romance full of steamy encounters, cute interactions and heart melting moments.
I’m a sucker for a strong heroine, and Wren Sterling fit the bill. As a handler for Armstrong Moorehead, she had her work cut out for her, and I couldn’t stop laughing at the way she repeatedly put him in his place. She was tough when she needed to be, was able to whip both Armstrong and his brother, Lincoln, into shape, and still had a softer side that made her so easy to love.
Lincoln was another perfect Helena Hunting hero, his strengths and flaws giving me all the swoon. I loved the way he and Wren got on each others cases, and their banter was on point. His obsession with her lipstick was just one of the many things I loved about him, and his desire to be different than the family that raised him and give to those in need made him the perfect man for the job and for Wren.
I loved this book, the twists and the turns and the family secrets. It left me guessing until the end and one of the secrets that was dropped has me sitting on the edge of my seat begging for more. Fantastic story, fantastic characters!
