I didn’t mean to kidnap the groom. It was an accident.Mostly…At least I didn’t take much time to plan it. It was more of a spur of the moment kidnapping. Does that count? One minute, the town’s bad boy is standing at the altar about to marry the world’s most evil kindergarten teacher. The next, he’s passed out in my Vespa sidecar with his bride hot on our tail. But I didn’t have a choice! I … tail.
But I didn’t have a choice! I couldn’t stand by and watch Jace O’Dell be blackmailed into a loveless marriage. And besides, what’s a little kidnapping between friends?
Okay, so maybe we’re not just friends…
And maybe I can’t quit thinking about that night at his bar when he closed up early and had me on the rocks.
And maybe this crazy stunt is going to blow up in both of our faces.
If it does, I’m blaming the moonshine.
Even though the only thing I’m hammered on when it comes to Jace is love—straight up, no chaser.

That settles it! I’m retiring to Happy Cat! (Don’t I wish?!?) Everything about this book was amazing! The humor had me laughing out loud (much to the startled fright of my Not-So-Happy cats) and the animals made it even more enjoyable. Plenty of drama, a lunatic baby-mamma-to be and finding something in themselves along the way, Olivia and Jace had me at hello… Kidding but found their love so refreshing and honest, it really moved me and I look forward to another visit to Happy Cat in the near future!
A•R•C ~ I was given Hammered: Happy Cat Book #2 by Pippa Grant and Lili Valente as an Advanced Readers Copy (A•R•C) from Give Me Book Promotions. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
5 out of 5 stars
I just love the books written by Pippa Grant and Lili Valente!
Amazing characters, story and plot twists and laugh out loud humor are what makes this book so outstanding.
Olivia Moonbeam is a bit odd with her beliefs, moon bathes, talking to her stuffed squirrel and her pet hedgehog, Princess, but she is one of the best characters I’ve read recently. Add in Jace O’Dell the misguided youth who no one will let go of his past has grown into a good man who takes his responsibilities seriously. This is their story of love, heart ache and re-finding that love again with more love to share with others.
Of course, George Cooney the racoon from Hosed is back and stealing the show again with his antics, have to love George. More animals that almost steal the book are Chewpacca, the Alpaca that is in love with Olivia and Princess, Olivia’s hedgehog, who wears a scarf while riding in the side car of Olivia’s Vespa, only Pippa Grant and Lili Valente can have these characters seem so lifelike that I want my own hedgehog baby.
