Hammer is the second book in the Regulators MC series and this man will get under your skin and grab hold of your heart. A man who is not only suffering both physically but mentally after being injured in an accident has a woman thrown into his life to help him heal. Hammer and Desirae try to fight the attraction that is growing between them and just when they accept that maybe this can be more, life has other plans. As chaos, drama and mayhem unfold it will take the fight of their lives to get past what holds them back from finding love and their safe place. Their story is witty, seriously sexy, gritty and contains so much emotion that you will not be able to stop the connection you will feel for these two characters.
Des meets Hammer when she is hired to help with his rehab while running for her life. He is cranky and fights her every step of the way but she is determined he will walk again. Somewhere along the line there is a shift in their relationship and when the unthinkable happens will they realize they just might love each other?
This is my second book by these 2 authors and I am loving this series. I usually don’t read MCs but this one has pulled me in from the beginning. Des has lived through the most unimaginable trauma and she finds her inner strength. Hammer is a good guy in general but is battling his own demons. Hammer will give you laughter, steaminess and suspense to keep you turning the pages. Had to jump right into Coal’s story as soon as I finished Hammer.
Super intense, action packed story. I could not put this story down. Hammers injury and recovery is so well written that I just had to know more. I love this series!

Hammer is book two in the Regulators MC series. It was entertaining and I’m hooked on the series.
Ethan “Hammer” McCoy is a big, tough, abrupt, angry at the world biker. We met Hammer in book one, Ice, when he was still carefree and humorous; however, he became wheel chair bound after an accident and has been snarling ever since.
Desirae “Des” Shythe is a trained physical therapist and personal trainer for the Hellions MC in North Carolina. She witnessed a murder and is on the run so the Hellions sent her to hide out in Miami with the Regulators MC helping Hammer get back on his feet.
The story picks up before the previous book in the series, Ice, ends. We see first hand how Hammer was hurt and some of the details were filled in that we missed in the first book. It’s a difficult task that Cameron has mastered, keeping it consistent and accurate.
I loved the premise of the story. It provided intrigue and suspense while exploring the relationship development between Hammer and Des. Additionally, Des’s snarkiness and humor added to the entertainment and overall enjoyment while plowing through the story.
I also loved the soft side of Hammer. He shows it to no one except Des so he’s still abrupt and rude to the world, but his inner care and vulnerability is pleasantly revealed in interactions with Des.
There are still some unanswered questions regarding Des’s sister Suzie that I would have liked answered. It appears they will be answered in another book, and if so, has caught my interest. Although wanting more, I did, however, like the closure that Hammer brought to Des regarding Suzie. It was a temporary solution that worked well.
Des was introduced in Forever Ride, Hellion’s Ride Series #2. I have not read the series yet; however, as a result of Hammer, that’s my next series.
True to Cameron’s style, interest for the next book in the series, Coal, has been created. I can’t wait to uncover his quirkiness and read his story. Lastly, I hope we’ll see more of Hammer’s brother, Evan. He’s worthy of his own story in the series.
