When a Halloween Party turns deadly, it falls to Hercule Poirots to unmask a murderer in Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery, Hallowe’en Party. At a Halloween party, Joyce—a hostile thirteen-year-old—boasts that she once witnessed a murder. Poirot is irresistible reading!
Any book by Agatha Christie is good. This one wanted you to keep reading.
A good read but not one of Agatha Christie’s better books.
Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot. What more is there to say?
Classic
Not one of Agatha Christie’s best; Halloween Party feels like a short story that has been filled with a lot of drawn out and repetitious filler. I would recommend it for real Christie fans who don’t care if it’s not her best writing.
Gotta love it….It’s the grand dame of mystery, and she delivers again!
Not the greatest Poirot novel but a very fun read.
Recommended all her books. Poirot is a classic detective, yet different than all the rest.
As a hard core Agatha Christie fan I really liked this book. Not one of her more popular titles but worth the time
I always enjoy Agatha Christie mysteries. Even though her first book was published nearly 100 years ago, & so the characters may seem a bit dated to a modern reader, they are well drawn and give one a glimpse into antebellum England which is most refreshing. Besides presenting a clever plot with just enough twists to keep one guessing till the …
Agatha Christie never fails to surprise. What a storyteller.
Agatha Christie is always good.
Considerably below Agatha Christie’s high standard, at this point she had grown tired about Belgian master detective Hercules poirot.
Typical Agatha Christie book
Just too simple in dialog and character development
Agatha Christie never fails to write witty, loveable characters. Hercule Poirot and Ariadne Oliver make such a great duo whenever they “collaborate,” and as creepy and bizarre as this mystery is, their humor adds a grounding quality that makes the plot somehow seem less dark. This is a great read for any time of year!
I love Agatha Christie. This book doesn’t disappoint. It keeps you guessing to the end.
too drawn out
Good reading. Good plot. Very enjoyable.
