There is nothing like an old fashion mystery where everyone could be guilty and secrets, motives and gossip are everywhere.
You can close your eyes and picture an English village, small, with the large house of many rooms and different scenes being played out. And the bucket full of bobbing apples, innocent and yet deadly.

Saw this on PBS but reading is so much better.
Love reading Victorian mysteries
good Agatha mystery
Somewhat different I thought than usual and I found it a little scary
Agatha C. at her best! Read it out loud to the family for a Halloween adventure.
In one sense, it’s the typical English murder mystery setting that Agatha Christie perfected — many people in a house, one dies, over time you learn how many motives there could be. While the story does not take place entirely in this house, it does take place in a very small village so the number of characters is limited even though not everyone …

Can’t go wrong with Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot solving the case. This was an enjoyable reread after many years as I followed along with Poirot observations and deductions. Ending has a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Enjoy!
I have enjoyed every book by Mrs. Christie. They are great!
Excellent
I enjoy all of Agatha Christie books. I confess I have never figured out whodunit. Even when I reread them and I’ve forgotten, I still don’t figure it out. That’s part of the fun.
Did I solve the mystery? Well, partially. One of my favorite things about Agatha Christie’s books is she almost always gives you enough clues to solve it on your own. There was a lot of subtlety in some of the clues for this one where I completely missed them or misinterpreted them, but they were still there.
This isn’t my favorite Christie, and …
Interesting read for Fall.
Agatha Christie at her best.
As usual, Poirot solves the case and fusses about his moustaches.
This was my first Agatha Christie book!! Her writing style is not an easy read. She expanded my vocabulary and pushed my reading skills. By the end of the book I had adjusted and enjoyed it very much.
Classic Christie, so good.
Not one of Christie’s best, but still entertaining and satisfying
Always fun to try to figure out her villain.
