Nash Roberts secretly writes fan-fiction scripts for his favorite TV show, He Spies, She Spies. That is, until a well-meaning friend submits one of the scripts to a contest and Nash wins. His secret is out and everyone in Little River is talking about him even more than when he stepped aside so his ex could run off with a country music star.
Actress Hallie Butler will do pretty much anything to … anything to save her struggling show, and that includes filming in the small town of Little River and doing photo-ops with the nerd who wrote the winning script. Except the writer is no nerd. He’s a sweet, hunky doctor embarrassed about his hobby.
As the two get to know each other, Hallie’s convinced she’s found her movie-worthy happily ever after, until a twisted online story comes between them. Will Nash learn from his past and fight for the woman he loves, or is Hallie better off if he walks away?

I really enjoyed Nash and Hallie’s story. I’m a sucker for a good fake relationship! This is the third book in the Love in Little River series, but the only one I’ve read. I want to go back and read the first two now because I love this group of characters. I love how Nash is a doctor who has a creative side with his secret script-writing passion. The author does an awesome job with the blending of two worlds, small-town Little River and Hollywood. This is a fun, well-written story with great dialogue!
If you want a fun, easy to read, clean romance book then pick this one up! Ranee S. Clark added another great book to the Little River series. I’ll be honest, the first couple chapters I wasn’t quite sure about Hallie and if she was worth Nash’s time, but in the end I loved the couple. Great characters that are relatable. You feel as if you are at the diner with them or eating in the truck. You feel the emotions that Nash goes through as he discovers his feelings for Hallie and he grows more confident in his writing abilities. What’s not to love about this guy? A doctor, smart, talented writer and caring all in one. On top of two great characters Clark brought back a couple of our other favorites such as Bellamy and Roxy. I love every page with Bellamy because she helps Nash see reason, she pushes him to be the man worthy of Hallie’s love.
This is a quick story that gives you the perfect amount of time to fall in love with the characters. I enjoyed “Hallie’s Hero” the latest addition to the Little River series that I absolutely love. Who wouldn’t want to go to this town to find love? I can’t wait for Ranee S. Clark’s next addition to the series.
Hollywood meets Little River.
Loved this story of Nash! After first meeting him in Roxy’s Song, it was great to see this good guy get his own story. When Roxy broke up with Nash, she said there was something missing between them. They made good friends, but that something … more… was not there. Nash soon understands what Roxy meant when his ‘fake’ relationship with Hallie becomes all too real. But when a firestorm of bad publicity hits, the difference between their lifestyles grows more apparent. Will they be able to find a way to make Big Hollywood and Little River mesh?
Excited for more books in this series!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Can the man who fixes every relationship by letting her go, hold onto the one woman who doesn’t need fixing? Dr. Nash Roberts has dated his fair share of amazing women who were all right for someone else. In his spare time, he writes fan fiction for his favorite t.v. show, He Spies, She Spies while practicing for the day he can write the book he dreams of.
Can the woman who let refused the man everyone ships, hold onto the one man who brings her sparks? Hallie is the heroine of the show and when Nash wins the contest for best script for a new episode the chemistry, and flirting starts right away. Hallie is intrigued by this doctor who knew enough about the show to write one of the best scripts she has seen.
This new story in Little River is a sweet romance. It is an easy read, perfect for a relaxing by the fire and eating chocolate type of night. The characters are spot on with consistency in Nash from the previous stories and fresh perspectives with Hallie. I loved reading this addition to the Love in Little River books. Each one has been a favorite of mine. Raneé S. Clark is masterful in creating the world of Little River that would be so easy to live in.
This is a cute addition to the series. Nash is a sweetie, and I loved his chemistry with Hallie. I feel like maybe Bellamy, his friend, took over the book a little bit too much, but all in all, it was fun watching Hallie and Nash figure things out. Their flirting was really fun to read, and the epilogue is really adorable.
Nash Roberts is good friends with Bellamy (she got her story in Catching Coy), who secretly submitted one of Nash’s fanfic scripts in a contest for the He Spies, She Spies TV show. His script is chosen as the winner and now the show is in town to film the episdode. Actress Hallie Butler doesn’t know what she’s going to do when her show He Spies, She Spies ends, but she’ll think about that later. Right now Hallie will concentrate on filming the episode that may hopefully save the show from cancellation, and do promos with the guy who wrote the winning script, who she hopes he isn’t “a total basement dweller”. Hallie’s surprised to find Nash is a handsome doctor and not some nerd with a altar to Mallory Rider.
I really liked Nash in the previous books and I’m happy he finally gets his story and a happy ending. Nothing like when a fake relationship turns real. I was all wrapped up in the blooming relationship between Nash and Hallie, and was completely surprised when the bad publicity came out and temporarily derailed their new relationship. “The course of true love never did run smooth” but I had hoped Nash would be an except to the rule. Thankfully the culprit is found and Nash and Callie find a solution that fits them so they can get their happily ever after.
This is a good addition to the Little River collection. It’s a sweet romance that will make an afternoon fly by as you travel to small town of Little River.
