Hi! I’m Delia. Short for Adelaide, which, in my opinion, is too old-fashioned sounding for a young business manager in charge of the poshest salon in Boca. I’m of mixed heritage, exactly what sort, I don’t know but at least one side of my family has a musical/theatrical background. At a hundred plus years, my Great Aunt Edna is still performing in a local cabaret and doesn’t look a day over … fifty. We all suspect routine nips and tucks, but you’d never know. Her personal trainer and plastic surgeon are magicians. Not euphemistically…really magicians. I know because I’ve recently been dragged into Boca’s dirty local secret. Sam, Edna’s handsome husband is still doing character parts in independent films in Miami. His last role was a gun runner for Werewolves—not much of a box office success, but the subject hit a little too close to home for my comfort. Uncle Sam may not know it, but Boca is a city full of paranormal creatures just fitting in. Shifters, werewolves, witches, vampires. The list goes on. You name it…I never know what I’ll bump into on a quiet afternoon or a dark night. Recently I applied for the very desirable management position at Luna de la Mar Salon and Spa. As it turns out, the fix was in. Just one glitch. They never expected a human to apply. I am not supposed to know about the inner operations of the town where most of the inhabitants aren’t human. I’ve come to realize being human is sometimes an advantage. I keep things operating daily…until the full moon. Then insanity rules. Our employees go batsh$t crazy while I rearrange schedules like a juggler with a dozen balls in the air, and my personal life is turning into a catastrophe. I’m infatuated with two men, and I use that term loosely because at least one is a Werewolf.
The other is a Coast Guard Commander who looks like the god Thor, but I’m playing second fiddle to his career. Uncle Sam, his not mine, is impossible to compete with. My heart throb, Aelric, saved my life then ditched me before our first date. Frankie,’ who’s not technically my boss is totally hot for me. He claims I’m making too big a deal out of my principles, but I have scruples about mixing business with pleasure. And believe me, hubba hubba, Frankie is definitely that. Pleasure could be his middle name. Truly, our biggest obstacle to a happily ever after are his monthly pack requirements. Frankie is the alpha of the local Weres, and though I’m not usually selfish, I refuse to stand in line with a bunch of female werewolves vying for his attention.
I lead sing with a local beach band. Two things I love: the beach and music. There’s one obstacle standing in my way for now. Due to recently being attacked by an unknown creature…I must get through the next few months without biting or killing anyone, because… Well it’s a long story…
Hair of the WERE is part of the ongoing Luna de la Mar series in AS THE CHAIR TURNS.

The first book in the As the Chair Turns series is one that drew me in from the first page a well written story that held my interest throughout. Luna d la Mar Spa had me laughing, but there are suspense, drama, danger, paranormals, wacky people, sirens, weres, and more plus a dead body. This ends on a cliff-hanger. I want to read the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a very fun read. It has a lot of different paranormal characters, a lot of humor and is just plain fun.

Delia is a human who applies for the managing position of a famous salon – not knowing that most of the staff and clientele are paranormals. She has a rough awakening when she gets the job and is introduced to the until then unknown side of her hometown.
At about the same time she meets 2 men, who will be important in her life – but when she is bitten by an unknown being in the night, things get really chaotic.
A really funny story of romantic comedy meets a touch of cozy mystery and a big dash of paranormal. A recipe that gives lots of entertainment.

I really enjoyed this book. I’m not really into the supernatural genre, but this book has changed my mind. I’m not sure who I like best between Frankie and Ric, but Delia has her hands full with those two. I also hope to learn more about Jacques.

She is a human in a town full of supernatural creatures. No-one had expected her to get the job at the saloon but she did. Things were good apart from the crazy part of the month they all go crazy. She has two men who may be her date but one is her boss and the other too involved with his job. How can it all go? Will she get what she deserves? Who will be hers? See by reading

Hair of the WERE
Luna de la Mar Salon & Spa
As the Chair Turns Book 1
Eliza March
I just loved this. It kept me entertained and laughing al the way through. The cast of characters is fabulous, and I cannot wait to follow them through to the next book. Delia is a delight, and sure adds the needs fun to the salon. Can’t wait to see what she cooks up next!!
Hair of the WERE: Luna de la Mar Salon & Spa is the first story in Eliza March’s fabulously fun and charming, As the Chair Turns series. Quirky characters, mystery and mayhem, and a whole lotta laugh out loud moments, ensure that the reader is never bored, while thoroughly entertained.
With a delightfully original theme and a cast of thousands, Hair of the Were is simply wonderful. So if you’re looking for a light-hearted, fast-paced story with a plethora of supernatural beings and some edge of your seat intrigue, then this is definitely the story for you. So grab a drink, settle in and enjoy the ride. I’m sure you’re going to love it!
Ok, is it really a spoiler to suggest that Delia might be a bit more than human – I mean seriously. Dating the pack Alpha kinda …and are all the magicians in the family really only related by marriage?
And hey, it is totally an advantage that a possible new manager for the Spa is not a shifter – I mean full moon challenges – hello?
I love the snarky humor, and the oh so Boca-ness of it all. Would it really be a shock if some of the folks involved n the keeping us youthful industry were really magical? It would explain a lot – especially the couture.
Read on if you enjoy humorous chaos, mystery, adventure, and some messed up romance – much funnier when it happens to someone else – especially someone who might be in a position to get herself magically perked up!
Wild and crazy, howlingly funny times ahead!

Hair of the Were #1 – This is my first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Her writing style is easy conversational with plenty of humor, starting from the appreciated Introduction about the characters and storylines. I love the idea of the only human working with a group of paranormals in a salon – spa. One of the other humans make me wonder if he’s not a paranormal himself, plus there’s hints of her family that all may not be normal.
There’s plenty of sexual tension between the human and her two love interests, which is more interesting than all the explicit sex running rampant nowadays. I did get bored during the last 35 percent of the story when it was constantly about her need for sex because of something that happened to her. All the characters have something of value to add to this quickly read, interesting story complete with fun ways things are handled. There are dark elements that add intrigue. This is nice read that keeps the reader entertained. 4*
A Siren’s Tail #2 – Picks up after the three month period is completed; about two months after Hair ended. The dark elements are a stronger danger to A, upping the intrigue quota. She’s still sex-crazy, thinks every guy is hot, which bored me with its constant repetition throughout most of the story. R made his announcement and knocked the socks off A. Of course, there’s still F sniffing around and providing protection on land. More paranormals are added to the character list. All the secrets are exposed. If there had been a less constant harping over her sex issues and her unknown status and more plot, Siren’s would not have been so boring and drawn out. 3*
I contacted the author to review her books and received these book through Booksprout.
