Very good story with amazing characters.
Mia is a privileged girl who grows having it all, only for it to be taken from her unexpectedly. Diego is a gorgeous journalist, son of a detective who Mia contacts in order for him to help her with a little problem she has. While she hack his life to get closer they end up falling for each other.
We get some humor, suspense, very hot scenes (this couple is amazing) and a good closure. Totally worth reading.
This book was a smooth perfect balance between suspense and romance. Mia and Diego’s story begins with her needing him to find out who is after her but ends with the both of them needing each other. The sassy heroine had me laughing at her quick comebacks and Diego had me swooning with his alpha tendencies. This is my first book by this author and I could not ask for a better introduction.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are strong and the story engaging. I truly amazing read.
I enjoyed reading Hacked Hearts by Jade Webb. This book was a very quick, easy read. I loved the main couples chemistry in this sweet romance. Mia Rollins has a large bounty on her head and feels imprisoned in her own home. The only one who may possibly be able to help her is the playboy, journalist Diego Medina. Mia manages to hack her way straight into Diego’s heart.
I found a few surprises in the book that I wasn’t expecting. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author in the future.
A very cute story with lots of meaty story line to sink your teeth into. Highly recommend!!
This was an enjoyable read. I loved the banter between Diego and Mia. There were some really great steamy moments.
Hacked Hearts is the first book I have read by Jade Webb. Mia is a once privileged girl who has had everything stripped from her and now has a price on her head by some very scary men. She has been forced into hiding to save herself and reaches out to the only one she can think of that might be able to help her. Diego is a playboy reporter who has had a hard couple of years dealing with his fathers death. Things seem to come easily to him and when he hears from Mia he doesn’t want anything to do with her at first. She is a reminder of the worst thing that happened in his life and he desperately needs her gone. She convinces him to help her and he can’t stay away from her on a personal level either.
The only problem I had with the book was its pace. The two characters are set up to not like each other in the beginning and yet after one conversation are mad for each other instead. Then comes the outside forces that seem to resolve very quickly for the severity they play. The story idea is really good, the chemistry between the two main characters is definitely there. I just wish it was a little more full in the story. Its definitely a good book for a quick read with an HEA.
I love a good geeky romance, and even better that the heroine (Mia) is the hacker geek in this one! Hacked Hearts delivers decently on its concept, and it’s a solid 3 star read for me.
Mia’s banter (and insta-lust connection) with Diego is one of my favorite elements of this book, and there are a few enjoyable hacker elements, but I ultimately felt like Mia was just a little underwritten. For a brilliant hacker capable of keeping herself safe for years, she’s pretty stupid sometimes.
There are some fun twists to keep things interesting, and it’s a pretty quick read, so if you’re a fan of geeky rom-coms with some action thrown in, it’s worth picking up Hacked Hearts.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Mia and Diego have chemistry that could melt a motherboard. After an unconventional intro to her Diego is intrigued by the sexy woman he had a cyber date with. Then the truth of her identity comes out and his initial reaction is to dismiss her. After all its her father’s fault his father killed himself. But, there is something in her plea that pulls at him and he finds himself sayings yes. What follows is some suspenseful drama interspersed with fun and comedic moments. Would definitely read more by Jade Webb
Standalone contemporary romance/ romantic suspense by jade Webb, who is a new read author for me. I loved the blurb and it original concept when I first read it and had to give it a go.
Hacker Mia, has had a rough go at life, considering she was raised by a loving father who ensured she had everything and more. A rich upbringing that came crashing down and falling to pieces.. when her father was arrestEd and implicated in a massive money laundering scheme. From princess to penniless, in the blink of an eye.
Fast forward ten years, Finding that the bounty on her head has grown massively makes Mia reach out to the most unlikely of men… Diego Medina playboy, manwhore journalist… and son of the man that arrested her father ten years earlier.
For me story wise this book ticked all my boxes, a original plot, well written characters and great chemistry.
I personally would not consider it a romantic comedy but more of the contemporary romance/suspense genre. The crime/mystery was the focus of this story and the fall out on the families. How Diego and Mia were/had dealt with their fathers actions.
I’m not normally a fan of romantic suspense, but this book kept me intrigued and entertained throughout. I loved the thought of a female hacked hiding out and enlisting the support of a journalist… and the way Mia entraps Diego’s attention just ticked means was pure heat
I wasn’t much enamoured by Diego as a character to start, I’m not a fan of playboys or their excuses for doing what they do…. however… I’m happy to say that the author managed to bring me round and I did feel a smidge ( ok a lot more than a smidge ) less hostile towards him… the emotion and despair at the loss of his father, his support was beautifully written and I truly empathised for his loss. The fact he and Mia has the whole ‘should be enemies’ but we’re drawn together through similar experiences and loss was not lost on me. It was well crafted and well written.
On the whole this was a great read, I would have loved for a few minor loose ends to be tied up at the end. I will defiantly be looking at more books from this author.
This is my first book by Jade Webb. I really enjoyed readig this book. Mia had to grow up fast. Her father was about to go on trial for embezzlement but he eneded up getting into a car accident and dying. She comes a cross a post about a bounty for her and tries to get ahold of 1 person she knows that can help, Diego. Diegos dad was on her dads case but ended up dying. These 2 butt heads but work together to solve a problem. I loved the action and suspense in the book.
An action packed romance with a so much going on. The daughter of a thief, Mia is being hunted by those looking for the money her father stole. Diego a journalist and the son of the one who arrested her father, Mia hopes to convince him to help her. Playboy Diego is reluctant to help but Mia is a on a quest to change his mind and save herself. A funny, steamy, drama riddled story that will make your weekend read.
3.5 STARS
This was a quick read for me, and I really enjoyed it. Mia is in hiding after finding out she has a bounty on her head, all because of something her father did when she was just a little girl. So, when she needs help finding out who’s after her, she enlists the help of a journalist, who is also the son of the cop who put her dad away.
I don’t want to give anything else away, so I’ll just say that there are ALOT of twists you don’t see coming!
I hope to read more from thus author!
A girl who is trapped in her own hell caused by a father who stole millions from before before killing himself. A journalist who is a playboy. They come together to try to find out who has a bounty on her head. Sparks fly before they even meet in person. The twists at end are a surprise. I’m glad to see how it ended. It was the right amount of sexy and suspense. Well written
Mia had a huge bounty on her head, and she has no clue why or who is after her. Diego is a playboy and a journalist who Mia cons into helping her to try and solve her mystery. No spoilers; this is a great story, which is a must read. This is a well written story which is filled with action, suspense, humor, romance, and is an emotional roller coaster throughout. I was totally hooked and intrigued throughout, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I recommend for all.
First time reader of this author. Glad I did! Sweet, lovely romance, chick on run, bad guys looking for her for money her father stole. Hero drunk, manwhore, who is redeemable, and metamorphised into sexy, desirable hero. Took half the book to physically meet, and ending felt a little rushed . Needs epilogue i think. Secondary characters not present. Well written, recommended adult. Sweet heat levels.
Hacked Hearts by Jade Webb is the story of Diego Medina and Mia Rollins.
Mia’s father died but before that he stole millions of dollars. Now they are coming for her looking for that money. Mia has a price on her head and she is trying to find a way out. Mia thinks that Diego who is a journalist and his father is the one that arrested her father, would be the safe place to go. Diego is a playboy for sure and doesn’t stop for many women but when Mia enters his world he goes forward to help her, which starts bring out new feelings in him.
This story had some humor to go along with the drama and romance.
Very sweet romance. Mia and Diego makes love seem effortless. Mia is a very strong, courageous and brave woman. This was a great read. Would definitely recommend reading this book.
3.5
I love a good story that starts with the couple meeting unconventionally, like online or accidental number texting. This book was similar, as Mia sought Diego out in both ways.
I was on a whirlwind roller coaster with this book between emotion and action. There weren’t very many dull moments throughout the story.
The only reason that I couldn’t rate this book a four, even though I loved the romance overall, is because there were a few plot holes that I couldn’t just glance over.
One minute eyes were brown, the next they were hazel; Hair changed colors as well, and the one side character’s back story changed.
I would still recommend this book, though as the story is very good.
Hacked Hearts give you intrigue and such a sweet romance! Mia is in hiding. Her father stole millions of dollars and died without telling anyone where the money was. Now with a bounty on Mia’s head and some scary people looking for her to find the stolen money, she turns to the only person she thinks can help. The son of the man who arrested her father. Diego is a manwhore, a hot mess, and somehow a journalist. After hearing from the most gorgeous woman he’s ever seen he decides to help Mia. This starts a cute, sweet, and funny romance that keeps you swooning.
Mia is an extraordinary woman. She has lived through hell caused by the one person who should have protected her, yet she comes out on top as an amazingly smart and independent woman. Diego has struggled the last two years after a tragedy and realizes he needs to get himself together. He can be so sweet and oh so deliciously sensual. These two together embark on an amazing relationship that shows them how to heal and how to grow.
I loved the funny and intrigue mixed together! When I think it’s getting serious, something happens that just had me laughing out loud. Jade Webb blended the two easily and made this a five star for me!
