Only it seems like her past doesn’t want to let her go. As her old insecurities start to return in full force and lies grow bigger than ever, the only thing left is the hope that her broken heart will survive this time around.
Andrew Hill has been betrayed one too many times in the past. Cynical and cold-hearted, he closed off his heart for good and doesn’t plan on letting anybody in ever again. Especially women. But his heart doesn’t seem to care and starts beating faster every time a particular black-haired beauty gets in his way and puts him in his place.
He wants her body, not her heart. She tries to resist him, but the pull is too much.
They know they’re all wrong for each other, but some habits are too sweet to give up.

Release Date March 27
This is Book 2 in the Greyford High series. So far it is my fave!
Andrew and Jeanette’s story has so much passion! There are so many things that make this book so great.
“We’re slipping, falling into the darkness, and there is no way out.”
The characters were well developed. The connection and chemistry between Drew and Jeannette was well written as well as the pull they had towards each other.
“Broken, misunderstood boy finds solace in the arms of equally broken and fucked-up girl.”
Seeing how they were in Lines and getting to see why they were the way the are in Habits is a real eye opener. So much struggle and pain makes this book so real.
“She’s become another one of my bad, bad habits, and I don’t want to give it up.”
Anna has outdone herself in this one. I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us with the students at Greyford High.
Move over Amelia and Derek. You have now been replaced. Jeanette and Andrew, are hands down, my new favorite couple in the series.
The two of them are so lost, broken and misunderstood. Both of them put on a facade, trying to conceal their true identities from their deep-seated insecurities. Neither of them are truly happy and living except for when they are together. The banter between them was snarky and sexy and their desire for each other shined so bright. They were absolutely perfectly imperfect for one another.
Habits was so brilliantly written and had me completely captivated from the get go. This series is my first foray into this author’s work and I am now 100% hooked. The way she weaves these tales full of emotion, humor and heat is the exact sort of addiction that I crave and is guaranteed to keep me coming back for more. If you haven’t started on this series yet… What are you waiting for? Now is the time.
Habits is book two in the Greyford High series. It can be read as a standalone. This one is Jeanette and Andrew’s story. I read the first one Lines, in that one Jeanette wasn’t one of my favorite characters. In this one we really get to see who Jeanette is. I warmed up to her and really wanted to know her story. Andrew on the surface comes off at a rich spoiled kid but there is so much more to him. He surprised me. Jeanette and Andrew have great chemistry together. They are frustrating characters at points but they work well together.
I loved this book!! Jeanette and Andrew both have serious issues in their lives, and the author handled it beautifully. This was poignant, and from the heart you can tell. We see Derek and Amelia from the first book “Lines” and it was great to see how they were doing. The consistency of writing in this book was great, and the story line very relatable and of the time.
Told with a depth of feelings, the characters wade through life one day at a time. The chemistry and sparks between the two was off the charts. We see the whole story from both points of view, and you really get into the heads of the characters. This is for sure a mature YA book, I would say no one under 17. To be safe 18+ is more apt. Depending on the level of maturity. There is swearing, sex, and drug use. So just use your judgement. I couldn’t get enough, but I am also old.LOL Take it for what it’s worth, but this is a definite read.

This YA/NA romance just blew me away. Habits isn’t your typical high school romance as this author creates complex characters with depth and dives into difficult, real life situations.
Andrew is on the same hockey team as Jeanette’s twin. He is an arrogant playboy who never settles with one girl. Jeanette, dubbed the ice queen, seems closed off. Both characters experienced something in their pasts that greatly affected how they approach relationships and both battle with insecurity – things that made my heart hurt for them. The two seem like an unlikely couple, but they are both beautifully damaged. Can two broken people help glue the broken pieces back together or will they be further shattered?
Habits sucked me right in and I found myself unable to put the book down. I loved Jeanette and Andrew. The author did an amazing job tackling issues with great sensitivity. I enjoyed watching the two mature as young adults as well as seeing their relationship evolve. I also really liked Brook, Lia, Derek, and Max. They all are great friends that I would like to have in my corner. One things that I would have liked is a bit longer epilogue – a little more into the future after they get their HEA. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series. I received this book for free.
I loved Jeanette since Lines and I loved her story. The second book in Greyford High series is so much darker than the first one. Lines were sweet and adorable. Habits were the right opposite.
I loved to find out more about Andrew’s past and I loved to find out everything about Jeanette’s. Both their stories were heartbreaking and I cried reading it in tram and once again Max was just amazing and caring brother and it was so sweet. I really liked to see more of Jeanette with Lia and Brooke, it was nice to see the development
I seriously can’t describe how much I loved it but I really did and you have to read it because it was just so good
I LOVE this book. It is a stand-alone, giving you more of the Greyford High crew in this second book. Andrew and Jeanette take the lead in this emotional story.
I am a mess after its telling. Andrew is a bit of an a turd initially but as you get to know the broken little boy he was, my heartaches and I more than a little PO’d at his parents. Can you say SELFISH.
Then Jeanette takes me on a roller coaster ride of emotions as well. Even when I don’t like her very much I can’t help but love her. The hurts from her past often get misdirected and her need for self preservation cause her to come across like a mean girl. Yikes!
This story has some hard hitting themes. Abandonment, eating disorders, bullying, keeping secrets, and unplanned pregnancy just to name a few. Intertwined are beautiful messages such as finding your voice, learning to love yourself and confronting hurts from your past.
I do wish I could have known more about Andrew and his resolution with his parents. I felt like I only got a taste of that journey. This story ends quickly which maybe is by design. Eek. I hate second guessing authors because they usually wind up answering my questions eventually. Haha! I am hoping all is revealed in the third story. AN-TI-CI-PATION!
This was an awesome story and this author only keeps upping her game with each new book I read from her. Sign! What a beautiful story. Happy Reading!
I loved this story, it was beautifully written for what can be a touchy subject.
Andrew and Jeanette are both broken people, but together they heal each other but the road to happiness is rocky.
I’d like to see Max get his HEA

The second book in the series and i really enjoyed it. Even if the characters are more YA they feel like NA as the author has developed them in more mature ones and i liked it.
We all make mistakes and have our heart broken, but those past mistakes will lead us to keep our heart in guard all the time no matter what happens. At least that’s what we tell ourselves because the heart has other things in mind.
I loved this story more than the first book because the characters are with more flaws and the way the author showed their grow it’s much better. There are real life situations happening and characters with real feelings and insecurities, inner thoughts that are very easy to rely on and this book is just great for a love story between two broken souls that will heal each other even if they don’t believe it,but as i said, love has another plan.
Waiting impatiently for teh next book in the series
Anna B. Doe is on a winning streak with HABITS, book two in the Greyford High series. This is Jeanette Sanders’ and Andrew Hill’s story. I loved this book. It held me captivated from the start through the finish. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for young adults.
The Prologue starts out at the senior sleep over from book one, LINES. Jeanette and her twin Max transferred to Greyford High at the beginning of the school year. They relocated to Michigan from California.
Jeanette and Andrew are an interesting couple. They both come from wealthy families. Jeanette has a reputation of being an ice queen, while Andrew has a reputation of an ass hole; personality traits they both put in place to protect themselves. They are both broken. They have been hurt and do not trust easily. The things that they endured are intense. My heart broke for them. I appreciated that they recognized a similarity in one another. They are the perfect people to help each other heal.
The plot was skillfully executed. It was interesting discovering the reason the Sanders’ family relocated to Michigan. I also appreciated discovering Andrew’s history. Anna B. Doe did a great job going back and forth in time. I absolutely adored this story. It was heartfelt and relevant. This is one of those stories that made me stop and reflect. Wondering if someone I know is putting up a front and hiding a secret and pain. HABITS was an amazing addition to the Greyford High series. I cannot wait for book three, RULES. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I love a good YA love story and Habits gave me all the feels. Andrew and Jeanette are a real hit!! They are an unlikely couple as Andrew is an arrogant jerk while Jeanette is closed off and is unwilling to let anyone in. It’s true that opposites attract and once they got together it was amazing. They are meant to be together. Ms. Doe does an excellent job of giving the reader an in depth knowledge as to why they act the way they do as issues from the past heavily contribute to their actions. My heart truly broke for them. I was impressed that Ms. Doe handled these sensitive subjects with grace and tact.
Habits has a realistic and all consuming storyline. If you are looking to read a wonderfully written book, then I highly recommend reading Habits. I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.
Admittedly, I was not in love with Lines, the first book in this series. I have to admit that while the beginning was a bit rocky for me, I really did love this story and am very much looking forward to number three!
Jeanette and Andrew are that odd pairing that you can’t help but root for. He’s a total womanizing jerk and she’s got some really deep-seated issues. They both need to work out their demons, but they really are better together than apart.
It was nice to get back to this world with these characters and live through Jeanette’s point of view. I’m still frustrated with Andrew, but his personality makes sense after getting his story.
Bring on Max and Brook!
This is the second book in this amazing series, and “Lines” needs to be read first in order to have a better background of this story. Jeanette and Andrew are both been broken by their pasts, and they need to overcome their demons in order to move on. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster ride throughout, and this is a beautiful story about healing, growth, and self-worth, which is realistic and relatable, as we all have insecurities in life. I look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

Habits is the second book in Anna B. Doe’s Greyford High series; it is also the 4th-ish book I have read by this author so I am not sure why I am so surprised with how much I loved this book.
Once again she has brought us back to high school and have us dealing with…well, high school problems. However, it is done in a way the issues are real life issues and not petty high school BS. Andrew and Annette are deep characters who have more walls surrounding them than a military base. These walls are in place for a reason and those reasons are why I devoured this book in one sitting and it is currently my favorite book by this author.
Both Annette and Andrew are a bit broken and have closed themselves off to others. Neither of them are willing to take the chance, given their pasts, but for some reason the two of them keep slipping through the others walls. Will either of them survive the fall out though?
The only thing that I would have liked to see is what happened next for Andrew and his parents… still some unanswered questions there but even still, it was an amazing book that I loved. I can not wait until the next book!

Jeanette is looking for a fresh start away from her past. Andrew is cynical and only looking for hook ups. He can’t stay away from Jeanette or help wanting more with her. Will Jeanette’s past catch up to them and cause the couple to split up? Will they manage to find a way to deal with all the drama?
This is the 2nd book in the Greyford High series. While the 1ST book is sweet and innocent this is sexy and seductive.
Jeanette is known as the ice queen and a loner and Andrew is the biggest jerk in Greyford High,
But they both have 1 thing in c0mmon. They are both broken in their own way. They develop a highly volatile infatuation for each other that they eventually act on. They try to keep there relationship a secret, from friends and especially Jeanette’s twin brother, Max. Who happens to be Andrew’s team mate and friend.
As we get to know these 2 characters, you start to understand why they are, they way they are.
Can 2 broken people help each other become whole.
Jeanette struggles with things that have happened in her past and has shut down from the world as much as she can while hopefully not alerting to those around her that she has. Andrew has possibly even more walls up and a front that he shows the world, never letting anyone in. I really loved both Jeanette and Andrew even though I didn’t always agree with how they were handling certain situations. However, I also feel there is a lot of leeway in that aspect due to the ages of the characters.
This book is a journey of self discovery and asking for help when it is needed the most. I totally felt for both of these characters so thoroughly. There were times that both broke my heart and I wanted to just give them the love they both so deserved. At one point they each have to try working through their stuff on their own, and I highly appreciated that aspect of this book as well. Story flowed well and I look forward to reading more from this author.
I was skeptical about these characters going into this book, but Anna turned their story into an amazing, emotional journey of self worth, healing, and growth.
Andrew is the guy everyone loves to hate, and he uses that as his shield. Why let down your guard when your’e only going to get hurt anyways.
Jeanette has a lot of anger, resentment, and fear that guides her life. She is skeptical of everyone and doesn’t want to get close to anyone.
These two have an undeniable attraction that burns so bright that it cannot be ignored no matter how hard they try. The more they get under each other’s skin and annoy each other, the more they can’t seem to stay away. It is so combustible that you are just waiting for it to go up in flames.
The heartbreak and healing was such an amazing message, and made me fall in love with these characters that much more. Through the demons and the hurt, they found a way to survive and come out stronger.
This is the second book in the series, and I think I know what book 3 is going to be about. The scenes that played out in this book hinted about it, and I am so excited. If my predictions are correct, then these two characters are going to be in for a whirlwind!

This is not just a story of teenagers in highschool. It is so much more.
I usually read to step away from reality, but Ms Doe was able to beautifully portrait reality into this story that broke my heart and made me stop and thing. This story deals with real-life issues that many teenagers and adult faces, which is hidden behind our eyes. Both Jeannette and Andrew are a product of their environment, dealing with things that are hard to recognize. They recognize kindred spirits in each other, but they both need ways to heal themselves before they can tackle the other’s problem. Sometimes I really did forget that they were merely seventeen years old since their problems and their tact of handling it was adultlike.
This story touched my heart and I hope everyone gets a chance to read and reflect on the issues brought out in this book.
