A brand new standalone in Greyford High series! How can something so wrong feel so good? Greyford’s bad boy finds his match in the ice queen… Senior year.Three girls. Three guys.Secrets and lies.Demons of past and present.Old insecurities and new fears. One more year left to pretend. One more year to wreck it all.The countdown begins. All Jeanette Sanders wanted to do was escape her past and forget … begins.
All Jeanette Sanders wanted to do was escape her past and forget everything that has happened. Coming to Greyford was supposed to be her new beginning, a clean slate. Only it seems like her past doesn’t want to let her go. As her old insecurities start to return in full force and lies grow bigger than ever, the only thing left is the hope that her broken heart will survive this time around.
Andrew Hill has been betrayed one too many times in the past. Cynical and cold-hearted, he closed off his heart for good and doesn’t plan on letting anybody in ever again. Especially women. But his heart doesn’t seem to care and starts beating faster every time a particular black-haired beauty gets in his way and puts him in his place.
He wants her body, not her heart. She tries to resist him, but the pull is too much.
They know they’re all wrong for each other, but some habits are too sweet to give up.

In this second book of the Greyford High series we have Jeanette and Andrew’s story. In the first book I thought Jeanette was as everyone called her an “Ice Princess” but didn’t know the reason why she behaved this way, but we learn why and it is heartbreaking. She has suffered what almost every high school student has which is bullying and body issues that make her insecure, but she lets her insecurities get the best of her and take her down until her family move to Greyford. Her twin, Max is amazing, and they use to be close until she withdrew and he tries so hard to get their connection back so we fall even more for Max in this book. Andrew is a playboy with no cares in the world or so he would have everyone believe. He is silently suffering and deep down he hurts but doesn’t let his feelings show in case that makes him weak. These two had so much in common that you think they would click immediately, yet they were always at each other’s throats constantly balancing on that line of hate and attraction. I loved when Andrew finally realized he wasn’t this persona he showed the school and he wanted better for himself, then he started to find his attraction to Jeanette was so much more. I was happy that Jeanette wanted to better herself for herself and sought out help and encouraged Andrew to do the same so they can heal then be together. It had many twists and turns, angst, and steamy moments (steamier than book one, which I love). In the end the author handled their insecurities, ups and downs, and fighting to be better very nicely and it made for a great read. I was still unsure of Brook but here’s to hoping in her story we can connect with her or at least understand her better. I felt I liked this book a little better than the first because we got more steam from the characters, even if I loved Derek the most.

Habits is the name of this book and I must say, this series is becoming a habit!!!. In this second book in the Greyford High series, Anna B. Doe has taken on our next couple, Jeanette and Andrew. OMG what a story. Ms. Doe has definitely kicked it up a notch with these two.
There is a powerful storyline. It digs deeper into emotional situations that are touchy.
The story itself is written so smooth and it had me hooked from the beginning and I zipped right through to the end.
In book one, Lines, we were introduced to Jeanette and we got to know her a bit. As her story unravels in this book, my heart just broke for her.
At one time or another, we all have those thoughts and insecurities. Just when you think you have it under control, all hell breaks loose and things spiral.
Andrew has been betrayed one too many times and he does not have time for anything except his way of coping and escaping. After a chance encounter with the one and only Jeannette, things start to happen. Some good and some not so good.
Even though they are so wrong for each other, habits are hard to break.
Oh my favorite line is: “eyes on me princess”.. I just love it!!!!
A beautifully told story that brings two broken people together with real-life situations..
Oh, and those pieces that setup for book three, Rules? I CANNOT WAIT!!!!! Holy cow, I need Rules, like yesterday. Please!!!
I freaking loved this book!!!! I could not put down the book at all!!! It had me glued to my phone from the beginning till the end… Omg loved it so much.
I am gonna binge this series rn!! It’s a freaking 5 stars for me.. Do give a try you guys. You will not regret it
Jeanette is such a broken soul. I feel like protecting her from everything bad that happens. She is a badass and a softie at the same time. Andrew, like mentioned before is an asshole and would have hated him if I hadn’t read this before Lines.
This was my favourite book of the month and I’m absolutely in love with it.
My favorite quote from the book:
“A habit. She’s become another one of my bad, bad habits, and I don’t want to give it up. I don’t want to give her up.”
How good is this!!! I swear I binge read the whole series. It was so good!!! In 3 days I finish 3 books not even kidding.

This book surprised me soo much, in a really really positive way. Also, this was probably the spiciest book I’ve read from Anna (so beware haha). What I loved about this book was the very obvious push and pull between Jeanette and Andrew. I was able to feel their chemistry from the first page and their banter was amazing as well. There were also a lot of important and difficult topics (possible triggers for some people, so please be cautious) featured in this book and I felt it was done in a realistic way. What I also found important is that the (mental)health of the characters were put in first place when needed. This story captivated me in a way that I just could not stop reading. Even though, I felt like I knew what would happen next… I just needed to continue to read and see what actually does happen next! This book felt like a crazy roller coaster ride, sometimes you felt the highs, sometimes you did not know if you could continue, but in the end the ride was all worth it! Overall, recommending to read this book for those who are looking for an intense and steamy romance story in a high school setting.

I absolutely loved joesette and Andrew’s story. They are a force to be reckoned with. The way this story grabbed me and kept me until the end made me want so much more.
Redemption stories are always a way to my heart. This story was just that. Beautifully written redemption story for Ice Queen and the Popular Douchebag!
This book continues in the Greyford High world, however we are taken on a journey and get to learn more about Jeanette Sanders and Andrew Hill. The two who most probably thought can’t be redeemed. These two showed there is so much more to them than just what they are allowing you to see. They both have reasons, although I’m not saying it was the correct thing to do, but reasons as to why they act the way they do. Jeanette, I felt her character on a different level. I could truly connect to how she felt, because of similar instances in my life that matched hers. She definitely showed she was one of the strong characters who cares about everyone that is most important in her life. Andrew is the typical popular, rich jock, who most just think its all about his status and being the typical douchebag that can do anything or say anything. You get to see why he is like this. You also get to see that Jeanette is the perfect girl for him. She doesn’t see his status, she see right through him. Andrew has finally met his match with Jeanette. These two are perfect for each other through and through.
I don’t think by reading the reviews you will get the full impact of this book. I definitely think this is a book everyone should read and be able to feel the emotions and the impact this book has. I highly recommend this book!!
Habits is Jeanette Sanders and Andrew Hill’s story. From start to finish I was hooked on this story. I loved Lines but this one was so much more and deserves more then 5 stars for sure.
Jeanette is best known as Max’s twin sister and an ice queen pretty much. She shows no emotion and is a loner who wants to forget her past and start a new beginning now that they have moved to Greyford. Andrew Hill is best known as a party boy, womanizer whose cocky, and a hot-shot hockey player for Greyford High with his best friend Derek. Andrew doesn’t do love he’s more of a use them and leave them kinda guy but once him and Jeanette have a hot and heavy moment during the school sleepover things have started changing whether he wants to admit it or not. Jeanette has secrets and not just her own that she has to keep and her past haunts her reminding her why she has to be this way. Andrew and Jeanette may seem to despise each other but once they touch they can’t seem to get enough. This relationship is bound to be complete chaos… A story full of secrets and both characters dark pasts unraveling before them. Habits is a definitely an emotional read with a lot of steamy hot moments.
I can’t wait to read Rules.
The tension and chemistry between these two i astronomical! The two are broken, for different reasons . These reasons are e=revealed to answer Why is Andrew such an a$$? Why is Jeanette so cold? Will the two be able to work through demons of their own so they can keep the one habit they really want — Each other?
I felt so much while reading about Andrew and Jeanette. The lives they have lived, the friends they have the secrets they keep, the feelings they felt. I cried. I sobbed. I stopped to reflect and feel their emotions as they consumed me. Fantastic story. Loved it so much!! 100% recommend.
“Jeanette Sanders could be my undoing. And I’m not ready for that”
—Broken, misunderstood boy finds solace in the arms of equally broken and effed up girl.
I enjoyed the book Lines so much that I didn’t think I could possibly like Hill, but I was wrong. This book has multiple sensitive topics and addressed them in a safe, informative way. It didn’t encourage or condone either issue but just made you realize how simple things as teasing or bullying can affect your life. The chemistry between Jeanette and Drew starts out like a lit spark that gradually lights its way to an explosion! Drew and Jeanette are so horribly wrong for each other. But when you have two negatives then you get a positive and that is why they are actually perfect for each other. Through each of their own flaws, they help each other grow and heal. This was a wonderful high school romance. With some steamy scenes, dynamite encounters, and sizzling secrets this is a must-read book!
I literally just put this book down, I read it within 24 hours. I was going to wait to review because there are so many emotions and I don’t know if I should give myself time to digest but I just can’t wait. This book was so much more than I anticipated. The blurb doesn’t do it justice. I loved Jeanette from the first book and Andrew was the perfect anti-hero but they clashed so bad it was perfectly good. I loved how the story weaved both past and present throughout the book so we know why Andrew and Jeanette are broken. This story left no emotion untouched and I know I will continue thinking about it for days to come.
Can’t wait for the final book in this serried
Another great book by Anna Doe.
Book 2 in the Greyford High series did not disappoint. It lets us see Andrew & Jeanette and I was excited to learn more about them. They were a mystery to me in book 1 and book 2 did not disappoint with their story.
You can see a side of them you may not have realized was there! The twists & turns kept coming at me, keeping me guessing as to what was going to happen next.
Now I am ready for book 3 to see where the story continues with Greyford High!
This is Jeanette and Andrews story and one I was completely addicted to and couldn’t put down. Shes is new to school and tries to keep her secrets and pain hidden from everyone. Andrew also believes he’s broken and doesn’t want a relationship. They both have a connection that they try to resist but in the end just simply can’t. There are a lot of stuff they need to overcome and they each heal the other. My emotions were all overwr with these two but absolutely adored!!!
I liked this book… it’s emotionally deep and deals with some big issues for both Jeanette and Andrew..
Andrew is a douchebag man whore.
Jeanette has her own problem. Apart they r both broken but together they seem to glue themselves back together..
4.5 Stars for Habits by Anna B. Doe. This is book two in the Greyford High Series. It is however a standalone. This is my first book from this author and let me just say I am now a fan. I love her writing style and how she provokes emotion in the reader.
Jeanette Sanders has not been at Greyford High for very long, but she already knows about Andrew Hill. Jeanette’s twin brother Max plays Hockey with Andrew. Jeanette has had experience with the type of person Andrew is and she does not plan on doing it again. Jeanette has had a rough last few years and has now become known as The Ice Queen. She is broken, struggling and feels more alone than she ever has. She used to have a close relationship with her twin but now they seem so far apart. Andrew likes to pick on her and she hates it, but at the same time she is drawn to him. She feels they might have more in common than she thinks. Maybe Andrew isn’t just a little rich daddies’ boy.
Andrew Hill is mister popular and seems to not have a care in the world. He is a playboy and like to pick on Jeanette. However, little does everyone know that he is struggling day in and day out. He is so damaged and broken that he is on a downwards spiral. He has never felt so alone even surrounded by all these people. He says he will never love anyone because all people do is leave.
These two are very much alike. They seem to be drawn to each other, even though they may not be good together. The best part of these two is when they come together, they are epic. They have this love/hate relationship that we all enjoy reading about. There were so many twists and turns along the way. I felt many emotions for these characters while reading this story. There were times I wanted to smack Andrew but then a few pages later I wanted to hug him. I felt the same way towards Jeanette. I loved how Anna B. Doe took serious subjects and made them easier for a young adult to understand how serious they are. It is truly a great book. I can not say enough great things about this book and author. The cover is cute and simple. I like that it does not have anything on it that draws away from what this story is truly about. Great Work and I look forward to reading more from this author.
This is Jeanette and Andrew’s story. Two broken souls who find each other. I loved watching their story unfold and getting the answers I had from the first book about why they are the way they were. Love these characters and can’t wait for Brooke and Max’s story.
This was a powerful story dealing with very real issues that can affect anyone regardless of age. Andrew and Jeanette are two young people damaged by their pasts that impact on their lives in heartbreaking fashion. I liked Jeanette from the start, she’s someone I could relate to. Andrew really annoyed me at the start. I couldn’t stand him but like all good authors she made me fall for him.
An emotional story about strength love and healing.
Oh, wow! This was a fab read! It’s set in high school with all the teenage drama and issues – and it was sexy, very angsty and emotional.
“I’ve been with a lot of girls, I’m not even bragging, but not one of them ever twisted me up like Jeanette Sanders has.”
Andrew Hill is a law unto himself. He has issues which he drowns out with girls, booze and weed. Girls want him and guys want to be him. No one challenges him until the new girl arrives at school.
“I can see his darkness. Because it matches my own.”
Jeanette Sanders has her own demons; secrets that she hides from the ones who love her. She battles every day to be normal yet invisible. However, since arriving at the new school, she’s thrown into the limelight as her personable twin brother makes waves among his peers.
“This girl…This f*cking girl…My hands still tremble with the need to grab her and make her melt under me.”
There’s a love-hate thing between Andrew and Jeanette. Neither really want it, yet neither can deny it. Just one taste. Just one round. Neither was prepared that once wouldn’t be enough and, before long, they’re finding that they’re more invested in each other than they were prepared to be.
“He called to me, almost as strong as the call of a warm fire in the middle of a winter blizzard.”
This was a really amazing read! It was quite hard-hitting and emotional. The loneliness, the despair, the pain. This was definitely a mature YA as it had hot, sexual content. The chemistry between Andrew and Jeanette was scorching. I absolutely loved their journey – they were both tough nuts to crack but I loved how they got under each other’s skin. Fantastic!
I’ve read Anna’s books before, and I loved them. This one however kinda missed the mark with me. That’s just me though!! I felt like I couldn’t connect with the characters, or the storyline, I can’t figure out which one.
They can’t give each other up. Andrew has given up on girls in his life, until Jeanette comes into it.
They both have pasts that they want to get away from, but does it really go away for them?
Can they move on together?
Two quotes stuck out in the book for me that I loved.
1. My hands tighten around him, and somewhere along the way, his hands curled around me too, returning my hub. Harder. Stronger. Tighter. – They can’t let each other go.
2. Most of all me. – Andrew finally breaks through to Jeanette.
Really enjoyed Habits!
Jeanette and Andrew are fantastic characters both with their own demons, both broken. The author does a wonderful job with giving us a story with real life problems and it is beautifully written.
I’m actually not that big on YA romance but for some reason I’ve loved all of the characters at Greyford High, with realistic stories that have the sheets burning. Great read!
