Gypsy had lost faith in his fellow man and was drifting through life when he found the Rebel Wayfarers MC. Having forever been a stranger to love, he was stunned when it beckoned to him from a darkened room in faraway Oz. The route to hold the woman of his dreams might be turbulent, but now that he’s found her, he’s determined to keep her…no matter the cost.Full description:Douglas Tatum was a … Tatum was a decorated police officer and considered himself a community servant loyal to the shield … back before he lost the faith. Betrayed by a man he considered a brother, he cut all ties with his past existence, drifting until he found a home with the Rebel Wayfarers MC, and their president, Mason. With renewed purpose, Gypsy, as he’s now known, threw himself into building a new life, earning his way into a trusted position in the club.
Dispatched overseas to help fulfill a club debt, Gypsy didn’t expect to find his destiny under an unfamiliar canopy of stars. It took just a single trembling glance for the dark-haired, blue-eyed beauty to own his heart.
Kelsey had spent months in captivity, serving men’s sadistic whims. Endless days of living moment to moment, in darkness and pain, she had given up hope of escape until Gypsy walked through the door. With one word from him, her heart settled in her chest, and she knew she was safe. From that moment he had taken control, dispatching her enemies and her nightmares, giving her a chance to be fearless for the first time she could remember.
Now fate has thrown them another curve, and they’ll have to partner with an unlikely crew to help save another girl. In the series timeline, this story sits alongside ‘Fury’ (book #11).
Story in the Rebel Wayfarers MC book series, timeline matches book #11, Fury. Gypsy’s Lady #11.5.
*Please note this book is part of the Rebel Wayfarers MC book series, featuring characters from additional books in the series. If the books are read out of order, you’ll twig to spoilers for the other books, so going back to read the skipped titles won’t have the same angsty reveals. I strongly recommend you read them in order. Sexy read
“Cops and clubs, we don’t mix.”
I loved going into this story knowing that the #HotCop would eventually become a #BadassBiker. It just amped up the anticipation for me as I waited for it to happen. And as it is with every addition to the Rebel Wayfarers MC series, a family reunion as I get to catch up with some of my favorite characters. I know I don’t have to tell you this if you are already this far into the series, but it still amazes me how the author gives her characters such an audible voice with her powerful words. I shit you not, I can hear them…
Doug, who will later become Gypsy, is one of the good guys. You’d think he would be among many, but unfortunately, that’s not the case in a police department with dirty cops. It made it hard to know who to trust and it strained my spidey senses as I struggled to detect the bad guys. What he had hoped to be a brotherhood in blue failed him. I didn’t blame him for feeling betrayed and discouraged regarding his career. I just kept thinking in the back of my head that Mason was gonna see his worth and make him learn to trust in brotherhood again, right? Yeah, I admit it, Mason can do no wrong in my eyes, I adore the president of the rebels. I practically had to sit on my hands I was so excited as I waited for all the puzzle pieces to fall into place and for those two characters to finally meet.
And then, when that wish was granted, I was excited for him to meet Kelsey. That’s the power of a good book title, cover and synopsis, right? It gives you enough information to intrigue you and to put images and ideas in your head. It keeps you leaning towards those things that you know are coming while continuing to ramp up the suspense with the missing pieces.
As I mentioned previously, the author’s gift with words is amazing. She put me inside Gypsy’s head and his heart. I saw her through his eyes and the journey she took me on was both heartbreaking and beautiful. If you follow my reviews you already know that I’m addicted to MC Romance. I’ve read hundreds of them so I have a strong basis for comparison. So, I can tell you with conviction that these rebels have a strong voice and a huge collective heart, their bond of brotherhood is intense and leaves the reader in no doubt that they are a force to be reckoned with. I know before I ever turn the first page that I will get the ‘feels because that’s something the author excels at, and that’s why I’m addicted to her stories. The line forms here…
Wow! This book is one of the best I have read in a long while. I loved every word! The wait for this particular couple felt like it was a long time coming from when we first met them in Lila Rose’s book a couple years back. But let me tell you it was worth the wait!
One of the things that draws me into ML’s books in this series is the way that she leads us not just through the couple’s relationship, but also takes us on the journey of who and what shaped the hero to be the man he is and becomes in the book. We gain a better understanding of what made the Rebel Wayfarers the right place for him at the time and the role he plays in their world.
I am sad that the Rebel Wayfarers are nearing their ending, but this book gives me hope of what could be to come, maybe a spin-off series who have dealings with the Rebel Wayfarers so we can keep seeing some of our long time favorites from this series?
I highly recommend this book, and while it is part of a very intricate series, I do believe that this one can be read as a stand-alone without too much confusion.
We first meet Gypsy in Lila Rose’s Living Without; and man did I fall in love with his character.
His path to the RW was a torturous one and one he needed but hesitated to take. One night is all it takes for that decision to be a lot easier than he thought.
Drifting, with no faith left in people he finds a home with the Rebel Wayfarers MC. Then a phone call from OZ leads him to what could possibly be his future.
Kelsey, Jesus that poor woman. Her story is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time; a perfect RW old lady.
I think I found a new book boyfriend in Gypsy and Kelsey is perfect for him. The storyline flowed well and the characters were engaging and memorable.
I can’t get enough of RWMC!!!! Gypsy and Kelsey story was amazing. I Love how MariaLisa tells their story by giving us the history of the characters and not making it boring but a adventure of the make of the character. I love to know how she can keep up with the timeline for each book. Just amazing MariaLisa.. Need More RWMC!!!!!

Where do I begin with Gypsy and Kelsey? We first met Kelsey in Living Without (Hawks MC: Caroline Springs #4) by Lila Rose (If you haven’t read Lila Rose yet, go one click right now. You will not be disappointed) and she met Gypsy when he rescued her after he was sent in to save Nary; a Hawks MC princess. Gypsy’s Lady shows us a little bit of the pair leading up to them meeting, we get to see some of the Hawks while Gypsy stays in Australia for a little while and then when Gypsy has to return home to Fort Wayne, Indiana he brings Kelsey with him.
Once back in the states, Gypsy attentively and patiently works to bring Kelsey back to herself. Kelsey can’t bear to be away from Gypsy and for every step forward she seems to make, she seems to take them backwards too. Will the two be able to move on together or are they only staying together out of a saviour/victim sense of loyalty?
This book was so good. I think the way MariaLisa deMora captured the nuances an abused, ground down woman seems to have and the way Gypsy was with her was beautifully done; handling Kelsey with kid gloves while at the same time pushing her to be brave and strong and learn to trust those around her instead of fearing everyone’s touch but his own.
For those who like some action with your romance, you will not be disappointed. There is still some club drama to be had and some BIG surprises I was not expecting at all. Another well written, highly enjoyable instalment in the Rebel Wayfarers MC series and I give Gypsy’s Lady 5 stars.
