Imagine searching your whole life for answers, and then finally finding them. A part of you is excited to know the truth. Another part of you is damaged, because you realize why it was so hard to learn answers.Secrets aren’t usually very pretty. In the midst of all of it, the four monsters I’ve gotten too attached to are about to be reunited with the one woman they all once loved so deeply that … loved so deeply that they sacrificed everything to have an eternity with her.
They said they hated Arion, but I never see hatred when they’re around him. I see frustration, resentment, anger, and pain, but never hatred.
They say they hate Idun, but until she returns, I won’t know how true that really is. All the pretty monsters don’t have simple emotions, because everyone has lived so long that it’s gotten entirely too complicated to feel anything too much.
The only way to figure out what happens next is to stop stalling and start doing, while silently hoping it doesn’t cost me everything I never knew I wanted…until it landed in my lap.
My life sucks so hard sometimes.

Must read series! I don’t never go over the story in my reviews just how the book made me feel. This series made me go through all of my emotions and I held my breath for each release of the next book in the series!
An amazing read!
Secrets aren’t usually very pretty…
The story keeps on getting interesting. The characters are complex and so vastly different and interesting.
Wonderful story with great world building.
Full of monsters, gypsies, secrets, death, ghosts, humour and a hint of romance.
Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.
Finally, Violet’s mom shows up and things get even more interesting. This series has wonderful characters, it keeps me on the edge of my seat, it’s steamy and it’s absolutely funny. I definitely enjoyed Violet and Shera’s conversations in this story and I can’t wait to read the next book.
This series absolutely kills me in the best ways. I love watching things unravel with Violet and the alpha. I can’t wait to see how everything continues.
Huh? Information overload….I may need to re-read all books to make sure I actually understand what the hell is going on. Just as I think I figured it out the rug is pulled from under me and I need to piece the puzzle back again. I miss Anna and secretly wish she could find a way back and I’m rooting for all 4 Alphas not to F## up!
Er, well, I feel so lost. I feel like I still like the series, but…not really? Maybe I’m just grasping at the sense of loyalty I have for the potential of the series at the beginning? I really don’t fucking know.
1. It’s exhausting to read…pretty much everyone…deliberately misinterpreting one another.
2. Not only the characters confuse me. Even the story itself confuses me to no end. I mean, it kind of works like a charm from the three previous books. But obtuse characters on top of unclear storyline…well, that can be difficult. And not in a fun way.
3. So…is this really Violet’s story or Idun’s? And Idun isn’t actually to be blamed. It’s just that every. single. character. revolves around the idea of this supposed-to-be Queen B slash Goddess of Pscyho. Heck, even Marta is personally connected to her. I really want to meet Idun already and assess if she’s as much (or ffs at least half) as she’s hyped up to be.
4. Very little to no character development. If there is plot development, I still haven’t digested much.
5. The romantic connection between the heroine and the heroes is kind of dull at this point.
Lol, all of the points I put in the list are negatives but I still can’t rate this read lower than 3 stars. I promise I will be firmer and clearer once I read the rest.
The potential, though…
A Completely Engaging Series!! 4.5 Stars
Gypsy Moon (All The Pretty Monsters Book 4)
Another gripping read with continued shocks & revelations!! I felt gutted for Emmet throughout most of it Wow, the occurrences to Violet regarding ‘Fiona’ were awful, heart wrenching & shocking!!
I feel like like we need a much higher steam quota Roll on Book #5!

I love this series; I really do. Violet is a brilliant conundrum, one that causes so much to happen in this book. I was really pleased with Violet’s character developments in this book. There are times in other books that I’ve felt she doesn’t stand up for herself, and she lets them (everyone – Alphas, omegas, her father, mother, etc) off too easy. It’s a testament to the author’s writing that I really like Violet, when I really prefer FMCs who are bad@5$es. In this book, though, she starts to stand up for herself, or at least not let herself be steamrolled, and she starts slowing down the snowball for herself.
The book picks up right where book 3 left off, and this book is fast-paced. Once it gets going, it doesn’t stop. And when I say a lot happens, a lot happens – relationship revelations and development, plot developments (so many plot developments), and character development. Personally, I found the mon-star squad a little frustrating in this book. The book didn’t suffer for it, and it was completely what you would expect for their characters, but I still wanted to wring their necks at times. Most of it has to do with their behaviours, but I know there is a historical context to all of their behaviours, and I’m trying really hard to not want to mentally hit them. The plot has hit a point in the story that I’m both dreading and dying for book 5. I’m fairly certain book 5 will both end on a cliffhanger and break me, giving me the worst book hangover in ages. Yeah, definitely dying for and dreading it. That said, this book didn’t end on a cliffhanger, yay silver linings! I’ve still read it twice since it came out, may well do a third before the fifth releases (there’s a lot in this book, seriously). That only mildly helps the need for book 5, but thankfully, the author has public ally announced the release date for it now, so not long to wait.
I love this book and I love this series. Kristy Cunning aka CM Owens always, always delivers. I like her style, I like her humor, and I love her plots. Even though I’m getting sick of waiting for this mysterious Idun (I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a character that hasn’t even been introduced) I still enjoy this story. I can’t wait to see how everything will fall together. I want to know all the secrets! This was a great book and I recommend this series!
Overall: 5/5
Gypsy Moon (All The Pretty Monsters Book 4)Kindle Edition
by Kristy Cunning
I borrowed this book via the KU program and am choosing to leave a fair and honest review.
Violet, Arion, Damien, Emit, Vance and all the rest are back! And they are not alone. Yay!
I am in love with this series. Violet is a big reason. Her inner fortitude, her heart, her insecurities all made her very real to me. And she isn’t the only one. I positively love her guys and their passion, the growing appreciation and yes, their love for her!
The plot is moved along quite well, with a few surprises that I truly didn’t see coming when I literally stayed awake for nearly two days to binge read. The climax and the patented Kristy Cunning cliffhanger left me panting for more! Hurry, please, Ms. Cunning! Don’t leave us hanging!
The multiple POV’s, Violet is the main narrator but her guys get to speak again, makes the story feel fleshed out. Ms. Cunning’s superb handling of the difference in narration-style makes it truly feel like you were listening to them speak.
Violet’s ability to let things pass, or as she repeatedly says “putting a pin in it” does get a bit frustrating as at times. Yes, it can take a lot for her to blow, but sometimes it feels like too much and she is edging toward being a doormat.
The different designation of members of the different Houses – Alpha, Beta and Omega – is repeated just a bit too often, as if there is a point that is never quite made.
But all in all, I was so happy and so tied up in the ongoing story, I lost ANOTHER night’s sleep.
*** Cliffhanger Warning!*** As with the other three books, we and the characters are left hanging! But isn’t that what makes this such a juicy series!
These books must be read in order and there are not standalones in anyway. Be prepared to tear through them the way a vampire tears through a victim’s neck!

I’m still in…but…
Characters are still interesting.
Relationships between All The Pretty monsters is still consuming, sexy and very intriguing.
Writing still flows in a way that captures and holds my attention from start to finish.
BUT
CONFUSION…I have no idea what the heck is going on.
OVER IDUN…I’m starting to not care what will happen when she eventually graces us with her presence.
HEARTBREAK…Violet can’t and doesn’t want them all but how can she pick just one of her Monsters?
I’m at the stage where I admit that I’m baffled with my dedication to this series. I’m not one for a drawn-out storyline or filler…normally. It’s just that these characters, the relationship dynamics and the connection between the monsters keep me coming back for more. I wouldn’t even mind if this was a continuing series JUST GET RID OF IDUN. Let’s move on to more exciting adventures for these Monsters.
Honestly, if I was to get my happy place, all the blokey monsters would face Idun and tell her to go jump in an active volcano. Hopefully, the psycho chicken would get trapped there for all eternity and Arion would stop being so bloody neutral.
I’m not sure I would want them all for Violet, but I am sure that I want them all in her life in some capacity. Vance is top of the pile with Damian, a close second. Emit has his moments…and they’re bloody good moments, but he doesn’t seem all in. Arion, bloody Arion. I don’t trust that sneaky Vampyre. Actually, I don’t think I trust any of them fully. Well, I maybe trust Vance the most but even he can be a little vague sometimes. Bloody hell, maybe I should just see how the cookie crumbles.
I will be back for more because I’m still enjoying this series. Now that I know the author is planning (for now) six books, it makes it easier to stick around for the rest.
If you’re looking for an interesting and slightly kinky paranormal series, I highly recommend All The Pretty Monsters.
BEWARE OF THE CLIFFHANGERS!!!
I have to say at times this series/story can get confusing. There is just so much story. So many secrets to unravel. But by the end of the book I am like, I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!!!
Either as Kristy Cunning or CM Owen’s this is a great author with depth and soul.
