Kelly Moore has a way of writing such true to life stories. I relate to each one as it draws me in and breaks my heart. Her characters are real and intense. They never have an easy life. Lyla and Jameson are no different. But these two are made for each other. A producer and a singer, how can they not be a perfect match. Lyla has secrets that lock up her heart and make this relationship a struggle. I found myself routing for these two. There is so much packed into this story that I could not put it down. But be ready to feel every emotion that Lyla does!
Adam Riley enhanced the experience of this story. He brought out all the emotions and struggles of the characters and made them so easy to relate to. Mr. Riley has an easy to listen to voice with a smooth female voice. It was easy to follow the story with his different tones for each character. I look forward to more narration by Mr. Riley.
Kelly Moore knows how to draw you in on a story and rips your heart apart! Tissues are needed for this. Jamieson slowly builds the trust and falls in love with Gypsy, but once there is a terrifying moment it all unravels and falls apart. How someone so much in love, still has so much despair in her life? Can Gypsy overcome her darkness to see the light? Can a new love heal or fill a void? This story is so emotional, happy, dark, sexy, touches on depression, and alcoholism. Adam Riley tells the story with such emotion. Every laugh, heartache, anger, is felt. He did an awesome job. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review!
Lyla has been through a very dark time. She has suffered a tremendous loss and never really recovered from that. She’s in a band and sings as Gypsy. Lyla travels from town to town to sing in bars. The moment Jameson sees her on stage and hears her sing he’s captivated by her. He feels a deep attraction towards her. Can he make her feel complete again?
Jameson has worked hard to be where he is. He’s very well known and respected. He wants to make Lyla a star so she can sing for a bigger audience. Lyla’s past makes her reluctant and scared. Jameson is deeply in love with her and he wants to do anything in his power to help her. He can’t see a future without her but he’s scared that her troubled past might catch up with them. Will Lyla be able to let him into her heart?
I absolutely loved Gypsy! Jameson and Lyla have such a deep connection and I was rooting for them to make it as a couple. My heart broke for Lyla since she’s been through so much. She tries to function in her daily life but sometimes it’s difficult to come back from her darkest memories. I could feel her pain through the pages and I had a lump in my throat while I was reading her story. Jameson is such a good man and he deserves to be with the love of his life. I couldn’t wait to see how their relationship would evolve.
Kelly Moore is such an amazing writer. She has the talent to make you feel the emotions of her characters. Every time I read a story written by her she sucks me in right from the start. She puts so much passion into her stories and this is noticeable in every line. Kelly Moore is one of my favorite authors and I highly recommend any book that she has ever written.
Powerful & Emotional Romance!
The romance between singer Layla (aka Gypsy) and Jameson Wilde is off the charts. They’re such complex and wonderfully written characters that I was immediately drawn into this gripping, heartfelt drama from the start. Layla’s beautiful, compelling songs are amazing. It was a very unique experience to be able to choose the outcome of the story. I prefer Ms Moore’s version but have your tissues ready. A MUST read! Enjoy!
I received an advance copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Such a heartbreaking story! I will warn whoever listens to this book that you will definitely ugly cry when you are listening.
Gypsy was a beautifully written romance with a twist I was not expecting. This novel by Kelly Moore was filled with so many emotions, it was sweet, steamy and heartbreaking. It will evoke a range of emotions from you. Its a story about love and loss, grief and survival and the ending will leave you in tears.
The audible version of this story was narrated by Adam Riley. He did an excellent job with voicing the characters and portraying the emotions needed in the story. I enjoyed listening to his narration.

I thought it was great that Ms. Moore gave the reader the option to end the story as she envisioned it or with the typical happy ending. In my opinion the more tragic ending fit the theme of the book better and while sad was more poignant and resonated with me. I loved Jameson and Lyla and how their story unfolded.
This is the forth book in the Epic Love Stories series, but it is not necessary to read the first three, to read this book. This is the story of Layla (Gypsy), a musician, and a broken women, who expresses herself, through her songs. Gypsy meets Jameson, who owns a recording, and the connection is instant, but Gypsy has secrets, and letting someone else in, might mean opening up old wounds. This book was intensely emotional, a roller coaster of highs, and lows, that will have you turning page after page. I highly recommend this book.

Beautifully written, emotional journey filled with lost of heart pounding twists and exciting turns. A great read from beginning to end that left me breathless and needing more. Highly entertaining reading experience.
This is an emotional , gut wrenching love story between Gypsy and Jameson. The author does an amazing job building the story and pulling at your heartstrings with the loss , grief and pain she’s battling and at the love and compassion he shows her. They have an instant connection and their love grows but the raw feelings remain. It’s a story of surviving pain, loss and tragedy and moving forward and loving again. The author shows two scenarios for an ending .. one will break your heart and one will melt it. Whichever one you pick , have the tissues ready reading their story. I loved this book and highly recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Lyla (aka Gypsy) and Jameson will sing to your heart and soul. Beautiful yet imperfect characters written to pop out and command the stage of your mind.
Kelly has such an angelic book voice that has a way to emotionally wreck the reader. You will go through so much feelings it’s mind blowing.
Love the vibe the story had, how authentic the characters are and how it took my hand and pulled me in.

Wow! This story will stay with me for a while!
When Jameson is asked to come down and check out this new band in the local pub, he does not expect to meet the most beautiful woman who sings like an angel. She has something special that she needs to share with the world and him if she will let him in.
Lyla is a broken mess and is not interested in anything but the short term but there is something about Jameson that makes her want to try harder and when the opportunity of a lifetime lands in her lap she risks it all because she has him by her side. But how can you mend something that is so broken that it is still covered in cracks?
Without giving too much away this one is a tearjerker! I loved this story and I must say it is a brave but sad story of a broken-hearted woman who is trapped in a world of depression and darkness. If this is a trigger then this story may not be for you.
I voluntarily read a copy of this book for an honest review.
This bookstore My heart. It was so good that I couldn’t put it down. Warning for this book, make sure you have tissues with you while reading. I cried so much. Lyla is so broken and doesn’t think she can be put back together again. Jameson falls for her at first sight. He wants to help her heal. I loved the two separate endings but feel like the first ending is more the way this book should end. I love the way Kelly Moore writes. Her stories are always so emotional. I feel like that is what really makes a good read. You have to be able to feel it to really love the book!

The book is a good romance read. The story has a good story line, and the story has a well written read. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

This beautiful and emotional novel centers around a young woman Lyla, (stage name Gypsy) who is blessed with an incredible voice and an even better talent at writing lyrics. While playing in a bar one night, in walks music producer Jameson at the request of one of his friends. Not in the mood to be there and certainly not expecting to discover someone worth recording, Jameson begrudgingly sits and waits to hear this voice that he has heard so much about. Once Lyla starts singing, everything that Jameson has believed about life, love and everything else up until that point, goes flying out the window.
I love novels with beautifully flawed characters and it’s certainly one of the things that I love about this and all of Kelly Moore’s novels. Gypsy is filled with flawed characters all in their own ways as the result of a variety of circumstances. Lyla’s quirks and flaws are evident early in the novel and her story is one that will break your heart. Jameson doesn’t appear “flawed” initially, yet his outlook on life at the beginning of the novel isn’t one that says hopeful or content. Flaws be damned, sometimes people are meant to be and find their way to each other, which makes their story even more moving, which is all that matters in the end.
Jameson quickly found his way into my heart while reading this, as did Lyla. I loved watching their lives grow and change, but I especially loved the transformation in each of their world-views. Also, for any music lovers out there, prepare to be wowed by Lyla’s (aka Kelly Moore’s) lyrics throughout this novel. She churns out some beautifully thought-provoking lyrics that I swear I could hear in my head as I was reading. If you play an instrument, I challenge you to resist the urge to put some of these lyrics to music. I’ve always wanted to play guitar, but this just made the desire stronger.
Gypsy is a fast-paced novel filled with amazing characterization, Kelly Moore’s trademark blend of romance and conflict (both internal and external), and will stay with you long, long after finishing it.
Do they live happily-ever-after?
This novel is so much more than the answer to that question. Gypsy is about the power of music, love, heartbreak, tragedy, fate, finding the one, and learning to love in a capacity one never imagined possible. It was my honor to read and review this novel and I cannot recommend it enough.
Oh, before I forget… Kleenex. Lots and lots of Kleenex.
Discovered Kelly Moore this week when I won Life Goes On (audiobook). Absolutely loved! Just finished Gypsy! on audible. Love that they are powerful, heartbreaking but such a easy flow to the stories. Was saying to my hubby love how it is just the story with no extra words thrown in. They are about 3 hours each. Looking forward to listening to all of them. Adam Riley and Sarah Puckett are super talented!! If anyone knows Adam Riley or Sarah Puckett please share this with him. I loved listening to the story as it seems to come alive that way. Hope you also enjoy the story.
Well, Gypsy just happened.
How did I miss this when it first came out? *kicks self*
Happy ( sort of * blows nose* ) to get caught back up, this emotional love story had my husband ready to throw my Kindle out the window!
When Jameson meets the women behind the voice that captured his attention, there’s no turning back for him- he must have her in a professional and nonprofessional way ASAP, but Gypsy comes to him with a past full of pain, dark places, and methods of coping that are temporary fixes, which only worsen things as time goes.
The connection between them is instant and a shock to their systems, the sheer magnetism keeps drawing them back together. The power of lyrics brought them together; what they do with it could change their lives forever.
GAH! Remember how I said earlier my hubby wanted to chuck my Kindle? Well, that would be because I kept waking him up saying out loud, *Oh no, this doesn’t feel right* *what? NO?* *cries for two chapters* holy buckets of emotional overload batman! If the Author had a premonition not so nice things were being said about her for a minute….. or two. < coughs > Whoops! I apologize! The heat of the moment and all!
What a beautifully broken love story! Once again, Ms. Moore has wrung me out to dry, and I loved every minute of it! These are epic tales, raw, moving, sexy and witty coupled with unique characters. If you have not read any of the Epic Love Stories, I HIGHLY recommend that you do. Just have a box tissues handy!
This is the fourth book in the Epic Love Stories Series. Gypsy and Jameson’s story is beautifully written, but so heartbreaking! Adam Riley did a great job with the narration.
Audible Review
Once again Kelly Moore has ripped my heart out with her words. I am emotionally rung out with this book. It’s so good but heartbreaking so be aware this isn’t a sweet love story. It is dark and sad and will force a few tears out of you.
Gypsy is so talented and when Jamison hears her he has to record her talent. Problem is she isn’t interested in having a recording contract. She just wants to play the bars and move on. His persistence finally breaks down her walls and he discovers the back story to her and why she is how she is.
The narrator, Adam Riley really did a great job with this book. I enjoyed listening to him from beginning to end and he told their story with the right emotion needed. I loved listening to him. I received a code to listen and leave a review of my honest opinion. I loved not only the narration but the story and I highly recommend it.
Another powerful, moving, touching, tragic, but heartbreakingly beautiful love story by Kelly Moore. I know every time I listen to one of her stories I have to have
the tissues handy because I will need them. I also know that each of her stories has an hidden agenda this one being suicide. Beware if it’s a trigger for you.
The narrator Adam Riley is new to me, but he gave a very good performance in bringing these characters to life.
