Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author L. Wilder brings readers a new installment in the Satan’s Fury MC- Memphis series. Get ready for this MC alpha to melt your heart.Club life isn’t for everyone, but for me–it was everything.I was a man who’d always demonstrated loyalty, pride, and grit. My brothers and those around me knew I was someone they could trust, and that I would … trust, and that I would always hold true to my word. They knew I’d never waver or show signs of weakness when it came to my commitment to the club, and as the president of Satan’s Fury Memphis, I knew exactly what I had to do.
Then, I met her … Samantha Travers–a woman who completely consumed me and I knew there would never be another.
This is my story. My Beginning.
The first five chapters of Gus were originally published in the WSJ/USA Today bestselling anthology Love, Loyalty and Mayhem. A second half has been added to the story giving readers a chance to see his perspective on events that occurred in Gunner’s book. The plot is often similar, but coming from Gus, the vision is different.
This was intended to be a short novella, but Gus demanded more. It shouldn’t come as a surprise. After all, he is the president of Satan’s Fury- the most notorious MC in the south, so ladies get ready. This hot alpha president will have you begging for more.
HEA with no cheating or cliffhangers.

I just adore this series! This is so well written and wonderfully told of love and loss and the after effects of secrets finally being revealed!!! Gus and Samantha deserves the ending they received in this series and I am just so tickled with how it went!!!! The epilogue was my favorite by far!!!!
Oh. My. Heart!! Gus and Samantha!! If you have read Gunner, you will have had a taste of them. But this is so much more.
So much more than a second chance love story. Great read!!
Loved Gus’s story. His love for Samantha and telling his back story how it came to be, which I had already read. Secrets are never a good thing and they usually come out. He’s a great president and takes care of his club and those around him. Danger, heat and forgiveness all together. HEA.

OMG Gus story was awesome, You think you no all of his story from Gunners story but hell no, Gus & Samantha. We go back to how Gus became Prz of Memphis Chapter & why the one women he loved walked way on him. So can GUS and SAM get a second chance finally get there HEA.
So glad L. Wilder decided Gus needed a full lenght story, it was worth every page, I so loved his story!
L. Wilder i can’t get enough of her books.
I love a happily ever after story but i also love the build up to it . The drama and angst the self doubt its all apart of building up to something special. But in Gus and Samantha case their love story was 25 yrs in the making and had lies deceit sacrifice and a nother from hell to get through before they finally found their happily ever after.
Another winner in this on going series!
I loved this story from cover to cover and it was so easy to fall in love with these characters from the very beginning.
Gus is a guy who is easy to love.He is very protective of those he loves, sexy as sin and all alpha, dangerous and he made us laugh and time or two but, he is also one once he has given his heart away to the one he loves above all else is for life.
Samantha was beautiful and sweet and kind and loving and of a free spirit at heart and one to once given her heart to the man she loves its for a lifetime to.
This story was filled with a lot of ups and downs and more than a few surprises that kept you glued to the pages the entire time. The story was also filled with angst and heartache and blackmail and also sacrifices. My heart ached for this couple as you new they were doomed from their very beginning but, deep down they were soulmates for one another but, another would never let them be.
Overall this was a really emotional tale and where fate works in mysterious ways in order to reunite a couple who should never have been apart.Samantha and Gus had awesome chemistry and were hot as heck together. We loved all the characters as some made us laugh and others made us cry a time or too but, we can’t help love them all there totally love-able.
I love a story when a love stands the test of time and it was so true for this couple.
“This was a downright heart melting read for us!”
First off I would like to address the fact that this is a continuation of the story that was originally a novella in the Love Loyalty and Mayhem anthology. So if some of it sounds familiar you’ll know why. But this is told from Gus’s point of view. The telling of his love for his Samantha, the club and his MC brothers. Hearing the events from Gus’s side of things was amazing. This is a very well written fast paced quick read that held me captive. Even though I knew the results of some of the actions, seeing it through Gus’s eyes was an emotional journey that had me smiling at times and at other my heart was breaking. His personal life story as well as his journey starting the Memphis chapter of Satan’s Fury was a hard journey but one I highly recommend reading, you won’t regret it.
2 Thumbs up and 5 stars for a great addition to the Satan Fury MC – Memphis series.
You can never go wrong reading a book from L. Wilder! Gus and Samantha’s story is phenomenal! It’s tradegy, heart break, forgiveness, and love. I highly recommend this book!
4.5 stars
Gus is the newest book in the Satan’s Fury Memphis series and really should be read after Gunner. While this book could be read as a standalone, Gunner’s book sets this story up.
Gus was born to the MC life. He’s incredibly loyal and is a born leader so when he’s “promoted” and asked to start his own chapter of Satan’s Fury it’s a perfect fit. While the club is still in it’s infancy, he meets a beautiful woman who will change his life but a mistake from those days of early leadership will cost him everything. Twenty-five years will pass before a new, but someone familiar, woman appears at the clubhouse to jump start his heart again.
Gus was a great book full of complex characters and a rich back story. While we meet all of these characters in Gunner’s book, this story fills in all the gaps on how Samantha and Gus started, ended and the hope for a new beginning. Love this series.

I love how the prologue of this story overlaps with Gunner’s book. I enjoyed the different perspective of some aspects of same story being told from a different viewpoint. This story is gripping and captivating with the suspense of setting up a new chapter in Memphis. Gus is blown away from the first meeting with Samantha. Their relationship is intense and the chemistry is off the charts! But just when they are getting hot and heavy violence breaks out and sends Samantha fleeing. 25 years later she sends August to seek Gus’s help and from there he connects the dots and is peeved with Samantha. This author knows how to tell a story making you feel all the emotions the characters are feeling. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for this series to continue!!
In L. Wilder’s next installment in her Memphis Satan’s Fury MC she brings the story of an integral and well liked character to this series in Gus.
Readers were given enough peeks into the life of Gus, the president of the Memphis Satan Fury’s chapter, in the previous works in this series to pique interest in his elusive past and to merit giving him his own story. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes and Gus was an impressive one. Having lost the love of his life, Samantha Travers, to mysterious circumstances his undying devotion to her memory was heartbreaking and admirable in its devotion. Gus acknowledged that he lived what many might consider a questionable life but at the end of the day he was able to look himself in the mirror and know that he could go to sleep with no regret over his actions. Samantha Travers saw with more than her eyes the man that Gus was never coloring her opinion of him with stereotypes and others judgments. Samantha was a quiet understated heroine with an inner strength that often went unnoticed but gave her a resiliency few could image or compete with. When her sacrifices, that cost her and Gus their relationship, were revealed it was heartbreaking and the angst and guilt that both felt was incredibly moving. The love and loyalty that this couple shared was indestructible and inspiring.
This author effectively bonded her readers and characters in this story. To read her work is like being in the moment with her portrayals offering a one of a kind experience and creating a phenomenal reader commitment. The story of Gus and Samantha was a sentimental and genuine love story with depth. L. Wilder mixed the perfect amount of hurt and an abundant amount of love for a HEA that readers will hold dear in Gus.
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
*While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*
Gus has been a favorite character of mine throughout this series. Much of this book is excerpts from Gunner’s book but I enjoyed reading this one from Gus and Samantha’s perspective.
This is the 6th book in this phenomenal series, and is Gus and Samantha’s story. When Gus and Samantha first met their relationship was intense, however, circumstances forced her to leave him, and now fast forward 25 years, and Samantha is Augusts’ mom, who sends her to Gus for help. This is another wonderful story which is heartbreaking, emotional, steamy and with twists, emotion and love. I was hooked and intrigued throughout and I cannot wait to read more from this gifted author whose work I highly recommend for all MC lovers.
Gus and Samantha met and fell in love only problem is that sometimes love is not enough. I loved their story and the struggles they faced. Samantha is pressured into making a decision that will destroy everything she desires. Gus needs to focus on making the Memphis chapter of Satan’s Fury MC a success. He has the club, the brothers and the woman so he knows that something is around the corner but he will be shocked at what it is. I loved this story and the characters so much. I highly recommend this author and this book, I can’t wait for what is next from the Memphis chapter.
I am so so happy we got Gus and Samantha’s full story!! Getting bits and pieces of it in Gunner’s story was such a tease lol. Loved how their love lasted throughout their darkest times and shined again.

Gus was book six within L Wilder’s Satan’s Fury MC Memphis series and should be read after book five, Gunner.
Gus was the President of the Memphis Satan’s Fury MC. He was their strength, leader and sound mind. We learned quickly that he never had an Old Lady because his heart had already been taken years ago.
Samantha was August’s mother (Gunner, book five). She met Gus in her twenties but it wasn’t meant to be.
Wilder took us back to the beginning to explain how Gus and Samantha met. She then fast forwarded twenty five years and took us through the same plot from Gunner but with an abridged version. Simultaneously, she took us to the heart of the matter – Gus and Stephanie talking through the past to manage the present.
Gus was a quick and fast paced read. I had read the first few chapters from Love, Loyalty & Mayhem (an anthology whose profits went to the organization, Bikers Against Bullies) and I had read Gunner, so I pretty much knew the storyline, but Wilder filled in the gaps with additional emotions and details. I loved Gus and Stephanie and hope to see more of them in the series.
Wilder also took the opportunity to introduce some additional characters and plots, which showed promised for future books. Up next is Rider and I can’t wait.
The first part of this book was included in the anthology Love, Loyalty and Mayhem. When I read it there, I marked it as one of the stories that I wanted more of – thank you Leslie for making that happen! It is truly a bittersweet tale and I have to say – I’m glad we didn’t get the details of the time lapse between the first and second parts of the story – I don’t think I could take it!! I felt so bad for Gus when I started reading the second part of the book – that’s how much you connect with these characters from Satan’s Fury! I am SO GLAD there was a happy ending and the scene with the house at the end??? Awesome! Glad there is also a positive story line for August and Gunner – cannot wait to read that book! Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to escape reality for a while as we connect with your characters…
You know when you get that lump in your throat? and that tight feeling in your chest? and your eyes keep tearing? and you’re hiccupping your sobs? Yup … Gus is so well-written, it pulls at your heartstrings like crazy and has you questioning your inability to control your emotions! This second-chance love story has everything that you have come to expect from our Satan’s Fury men – a slow burn romance/love at first sight/off the charts chemistry with a healthy dose of suspense and unwavering loyalty. When we first read about Gus in the Love, Loyalty and Mayhem short, I was so intrigued by the attraction between Gus and Samantha. They seemed to have it all, until the evil, power-hungry monster of a mother surfaced. I actually screamed out loud that this could not be the end! Enter Gus – 25 years later. 25 years of questions, heart break, angst, and unrequited love. 25 years of the passion simmering. 25 years and the fire is ignited again. My heart. I am emotionally wrecked. Bravo Leslie Wilder. Gus is my hero. (heart still melting … sigh).
