Great Ghost Story!
Gull Harbor is a gripping story with several plot twists and turns. Claire, a former law student turned psychic, accepts a job to investigate an old mansion in a small Cape Cod town. The experience turns out to be as much of a layered look into her own past as it is into the haunting of an empty house. The last person she expects to meet in a town where all the locals know each other is the love of her life, Max, who walked out on her a few years earlier. Claire never expected to see him again but now, being in such close proximity, all the questions, anger, and mixture of feelings she had for him have returned.
The ghost story and the renewed relationship of Claire and Max progress simultaneously and weave back and forth. There is one other story though that neither Claire nor Max bargained on. That is the one that puts Claire’s life in danger, one that the ghost was trying to tell her about, and one that explains the dark secret of the mansion.
I liked this book! I’m into paranormal activity and this did not disappoint! I recommend it!
Gull Harbor
By: Kathryn Knight
Narrated by: Kristin James
There are certain authors that are a have to listen for me, and Kathryn Knight is one of them. After enjoying several of her other stories, I couldn’t wait to listen to this one, and I was not surprised to love it. Claire is a psychic who can connect with the dead. When brought to Gull Harbor to see why a spirit is haunting a house, she unexpectedly sees her ex, Max! Now we get a little romance, a little haunting, a suspenseful story and a ghost that just wants to go home! I loved every minute of this story. The family drama is so prevalent, but what really had me was the story of Maria the ghost, and how she came to the mansion. She was able to encompass not only the thrilling aspects, but added to the romance! Claire is a wonderful character, very independent, but when it comes to love, she has problems trusting. Max is like a dog on a bone, and does his best to win her back. There is so much intertwined, the story keeps you on your toes and keeps you hooked.
Kristin James is amazing, and she brings this story to life. Her voices enhance the personality of each character, making them sound exactly as I would expect. I love her narrations and am so glad I got to listen to this one.

Its much more of a drug store romance in my opinion. I started skimming after I the 5th mention of a “hot groin” and almost gave up completely a couple of times.
If you like romance heavy books you will like this one, the paranormal aspects on their own could have been a decent enough story but I am just not a fan of romance novels.
Very enjoyable read.
Kathryn Knight’s Gull Harbor kept me spellbound. I’m not sure what I liked best, the heroine, Claire Linden, with her trunk of unyielding baggage despite the repressed love for her hunky hot hero, Max…Who, by the way, had s suitcase or two of his own, and yet maintained the kind of unrelenting love for Claire that women yearn to find. The passionate love scenes between them were hot, despite their lingering conflict…
Maria, the endearing young ghost desperately searching for a way to escape the house imprisoning her, kept the story turning somersaults and combined with an intriguing plot, I couldn’t peg the ending, which was awesome.
Kathryn Knight’s fluid writing held my interest…and the narrator, Kristin James, performed beautifully, with a passionate tone in all the right places.
All together, the mix made a long drive fade into the background, while an enchanting ghost tale mezmerized my imagination. I won’t give up a single spoiler, except to say Gull Harbor is an enchanting story I highly recommend.
Sadly, was very disappointed in this book. The story dragged on, the investigation into the ghost mystery seemed to play second to all the sexual description. I really didn’t need to know what he did with his finger in her. I hope the author doesn’t read something like Shades of Grey before she writes another one.
I loved this book. It is a terrific story. Great characters. Romance, danger, suspense, and a ghost make this an exciting read.
thought I had everything figured out, wow was I wrong. Kept throwing me curves. Great gothic suspense!!
Excellent Read!
Great tale of a psychic working with a spirit to find the truth.
Audiobook review: Gull Harbor is well written story with dynamic, relatable, and believable characters. Claire is a psychic who has been called in to investigate a home haunting. The ghost is quite active and not interested in Claire’s machinations. An old love interest is met unexpectedly, their history left unfinished. In 8 weeks, Claire, Max, & Maria’s stories collide and resolve into a HEA! The narrator did a nice job, but Claire’s internal dialogue blasted through the headphones, maybe the audio tech should try making the internal voice lower rather than louder. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
While the story is timeless of a couple coming back together after a heartbreaking separation, it is told well. With the addition of the mystery of the murdered girl and Claire’s job of freeing her spirit, it was a delightful read.
I love an easy read with ghosts, and this book is it. Its hard for me to put down. The ghost of Maria, a poor young girl murdered in the house wants her story told. I will definitely look for other books from this author.
A Quick read and very well written.
