There are secrets. There are sinful secrets. And then there’s switching places with your twin. Paige Hollander and her identical twin Lily stopped switching places a decade ago. But Lily’s run into trouble, and Paige is on leave from the SFPD, recovering from a traumatic shooting. It’s not like she has anything better to do, and she remembers how to be feminine. Sort of. Anyway, it’s selling lacy … selling lacy thongs in Sinful Secrets and playing Heidi to Lily’s goats for a week or two. How hard could it be?
For Jace Blackstone, idyllic Sinful, Montana, is the perfect escape. In this town, he’s nothing but a reclusive, black-haired stranger with an Aussie accent and a bad attitude. Not the former pride of Australia’s special forces, not a bestselling thriller writer, and not a man with no more faith in women. Right up until the day a mystery fan starts getting much too up-close and personal, and his neighbor comes back from her vacation with a personality change that knocks him sideways.
Suddenly, Sinful is looking downright dangerous. And the biggest danger of all might come in the form of flashing brown eyes, a rear view to stop a man’s heart, and a wit sharp enough to slice him to the bone.
Sinful could be getting serious.

I loved this book! The twin switcharoo was so much fun, and I really enjoyed seeing how two such opposite personalities were able to learn a little bit from walking in the others’ shoes. This was such a fun, light-hearted read with just enough drama / suspense to keep me on my toes, and plenty of romance to make my needy little heart happy. Exactly what I needed for the summer!
Audio Review from March 2019
So this book starts off with literally two different stories going on.
He has a story and SHE has a story. They don’t really make much sense until the author merges the two story lines and they are both talking about both story lines as the main characters get closer.
I ended up enjoying it after that and after they got together and SHE spilled the beans about her story.
I would recommend it.
Dnf.
They are identical twins. Paige thought Faith needed her to help her help with a real estate. No one knew they are twins this should work no problem. except goats, handsome neighbor stalker, crazed towns people did I say handsome neighbor

Guilty As Sin was the first book in the Sinful, Montana series by Rosalind James.
Paige and Lilly Hollander were identical twins. Paige was a cop in San Francisco who had just been injured on the job and was on leave while recuperating. Paige was independent, strong and snarky. Lilly was the girlish twin, lived in Montana, owned a lingerie shop and was the sweet, shy twin. Lilly was being pressured to sell her land so Paige stepped in and they swapped identities for a week so “Lilly” could express a tougher side and keep her land.
Jace Blackstone was a 6’3” Aussie thriller author. He was also former military, Lilly’s neighbor in Montana and had an unapproachable vibe.
Guilty Sin was told with a double POV. I had a hard time following the beginning with Jace’s POV. There were a lot of names and I couldn’t tell the real people from the fictitious characters. It all blended and I was confused. However, once the story progressed and Paige/Lilly began her fun bantering with Jace, the plot began to form and had a suspenseful vibe.
Once the suspense began, it was fun, intriguing and entertaining. I enjoyed both Paige and Jace as well as the storyline. Lilly and Rafe are next and I can’t wait.
Loved, loved, loved Jace and Paige’s story
Action packed, fast moving, nail biting, major swooning, lots of laughs and serious panting. A great story written in her customary personal style. Ms James knows how to keep her readers spellbound. A definite must read.
There are not enough stars to rate this book and author. And there are only a small number of authors and their books that I’d wish to read over and over; even knowing what happens. Though this is the only book of Rosalind James’ that I have read I feel she should be rated up there with the big name writers. I know I’ll look for more of hers in the future. This book will capture and hold you to the end. I just wish I had it in paperback, cause I’d add it to the ones I’ve read many, many times. May you never loose the gift Rosalind.

An awesome story and a great plot! Loved the name of the town and the sexy author, full of twin trouble, that only twins could get into! Mayhem, mystery, mishaps, danger, drama, strange and dangerous twists and turns, and lots of fun! Love the goats, the dog, and don’t forget the BEES!! Solving the mystery, revealing the enemies, and finding the strength to forgive and heal, leads to true love! Will she be willing to take a leap of faith will she have the courage to commit?
Loved this book, but no surprise here. I don’t think there is anything Rosalind James has written since I first discovered her books that I haven’t enjoyed.
This romantic suspense was funny, sexy, and exciting with both intense moments and moments of action.
Jace and Paige were so good together. This writer’s couples always have a kind of sensual intensity that is layered over a foundation of romance and friendship.
I liked that they both were strong and independent, but they each had an underlying vulnerability.
Another book where I didn’t want it to end.
The Sinful, Montana series, is a great one. Currently in the middle of book two, which I had to buy right after finishing this one, because I just couldn’t wait. Guilty as Sin, is a mystery romance, with twins switching places, goat tackling, land dispute, a stalker, and a sexy as sin next door neighbor.
Guilty As Sin by Rosalind James is a fantastic contemporary romance. Ms. James has delivered a book that is well-written and filled it with phenomenal characters. Paige is recovering from being shot on her job on the SFPD when she volunteers to switch places with her twin sister. Jace, now a writer, is a former commando of Australia’s special forces. Jace and Paige’s story is packed with drama, humor, action, sizzle and suspense. This book hooked me at the first page, I loved it and look forward to reading more from Rosalind James in the future. Guilty As Sin is book 1 of the Sinful, Montana Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Love all her books you cannot go wrong with any of her work.
Very well written, and kept me entertained.
