A “Brother’s Best Friend” romance that has it all! Reed and Etta burn up the pages with all the tension, temptation, and just enough angst. Don’t miss out, grab yours now!Gucci:It was supposed to be one night. One night with no labels. No rules. One night, just her and me.Etta is the only girl I can’t get out of my head. She’s the only line I can’t cross. She’s my best friend’s sister, and that … cross. She’s my best friend’s sister, and that means: no-go. Full stop.
It was the end of a painful summer where I forced myself to pretend she didn’t exist. There was no point in torturing myself with what I could never have. I didn’t plan to spend the night drinking with her. Or burning all her ex-boyfriend’s stuff. Or kissing her…
The alcohol, fire, and wild look in her eyes was too much to turn away from. Booze has a way of sucking the oxygen out of your fears and feeding it to the parts of your heart you starve. I was starving for her.
Now, we’re supposed to go back to college and pretend it never happened. Like, she’s still just the girl I grew up with and not this addiction burning in my veins.
I don’t want to sneak around behind my best friend’s back. But, Etta is more than just his little sister.
And, I need so much more than one night.

I thought Gucci was pretty good, the story kept me interested all throughout the book.
Eddie Cleveland is a awesome story weaver, I always look forward to his books.
So yes I am going to recommend this book to anyone searching for a good story to climb into and get lost within its pages.
*An ARC was provided by the author, publisher or a promotional service and I have chosen to publish a fair and honest review*
I loved this book and could not put it down after starting it. I cannot wait to see which player is going to be next to fall in love. I laughed, cried and was on the edge of my seat hoping everything would work out in the end.
I’m over 50, so college romances are not my normal choice to read. But Eddie Cleveland will long be a favorite author of mine. I loved this book from beginning to end.
It’s a long standing taboo, don’t date your best friend’s sister. Well, there is an additional layer to this, as Reed/Gucci has lived with the family for years. But I enjoyed the whole evolution of the relationship between Reed and Etta. Course, throw big (literally) brother Aiden/Griz into the mix, things get interesting and complicated.
College romance fan or not, if you are a romance fan, you should read this book! (Is Griz’s book ready to read yet?)
I loved this book. All of Eddie’s books are great and this is no exception. Love story between Gucci and Etta really a page turner. You will not regret getting this book. Thank you Eddie
Thoroughly Entertaining!!
I’m not into hockey, and I’m way past the college “stage”, yet I found myself captivated by this very entertaining story. Completely relatable story of team, family, school, fitting in and doing what is right.
We get to meet much of the team and met Player and his girlfriend in depth in the last story. This time we go in depth with Reed (Gucci) who is taken in when his mom dies, and his dad is sent to prison. Griz is his best friend and Etta is his Griz’s little sister. The bratty tag-along has grown up and is off limits. But love has a funny way of not paying attention to the rules. Delightful story in this delicious series.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
This was a great read. The chemistry between Reed and Etta was fantastic. The characters are well written, developed and engaging. The plot pulls you in and hooks your from the start. A great read and addition to this series. I received an Advance Reader Copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Etta and Reed have grown up together. When his life blew apart, Etta’s family took Reed in to keep him out of foster care. As he has watched Etta grow from a girl into a woman, his feelings for her have changed from brotherly to something more. He’s in love with her, but doesn’t want to risk breaking the family who saved his life.
Both Etta and Reed feel the attraction and, while trying to deny their attraction and maintain a sibling bond, they are failing miserably. Will they risk everything to build the relationship they want?
Reed is surprisingly sweet and loving toward Etta. When we met him in ‘Player,’ we met a hard-partying manwhore. Understanding his story and motivations, his behavior all comes into focus.
I loved the story and the development of Gucci and Etta into full-fledged and unique characters.
Five stars.
This is an honest, voluntary review of an ARC of the story.
I am truly speechless, this book by the talented Eddie Cleveland has everything you want and need in a good sports romance story. Etta an independent sweet heroine who knows and goes after what she wants, Gucci an alpha hero, brooding and gorgeous afraid to upset his best friend by dating his baby sister or their parents as they took him in when his life was in tatters. A scorching hot chemistry, sexy moments and everything in between. An awesome story! Well written and unputadownable. I can’t wait for book three in this amazing series. I was given this as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was happy to provide.
I re-read Player before I read Gucci. I wanted to remember the beginning.
The “family” dynamic created a tough to be out in the open relationship. I understnd being in the same room and not being able to feel and act like you want due to having feelings no one else might understand.
I am ready for Griz!!
I expected a wonderfully written romance story, and that’s exactly what Eddie Cleveland gave me. This book is just what I needed… a blend of chemistry, relationships, family, steam, and FEELS, FEELS, FEELS. Gucci consumed me from beginning to end and I never wanted it to end. I’m looking forward to reading about the rest of the characters from this series, especially Griz and Hattie’s story.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
It is always exciting how Eddie manages to cast a spell over you with his stories. I couldn’t get the book out of hand. The uncertainty that Etta brings and Reed – known as Gucci for the rest of the world, who is afraid of losing his best friend and the family who took him in his darkest time. It’s a real thought explosion. Sometimes I would have liked to slap both of them some senses and in sometimes it was just oooohhhhhh they are so sweet. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Eddie done it again! As you read youa re right there with the caharacters! Cucci, is one awesome book!Gucci, Reed, gets placed with this best friend’s family after his falls apart. Etta is the sister of Gucci’s best friend. Etta and Gucci have a cruch on each other and things start to get hot! Hockey players don’t date the sister of teammates!
I loved this book! We first met Gucci in the first book in the series, Player. I was intrigued, I wanted to know more. The characters are complex, the romance is hot, hot and hot ! And I can’t wait for the others in the series!
Loved Reed and Etta’s story! It a well told/written brothers best friend romance. It will keep you wanting more.
Wow wow wow. What a wonderful storyline Reed and Etta had.
Absolutely adored them both. Loving the characters in this series. Loved the whole story and the connection between them all.
Cant wait for Aiden now to see what happens with him.
Gucci and Etta’s story is everything I wanted!! They have wanted each other for years, but kept their feelings hidden because of her brother….his best friend. After dumping her loser boyfriend Etta decides to make a move on Reed/Gucci and they finally get together. Things are fabulous, until they realize they fell asleep together, naked, on the front lawn! This begins the awkward torment they go through when they get back to school. I love how their story unfolds and how you get more insight into Aiden/Griz. It may be cliche, but this has all the feels!! I loved it!!!
Gucci did not have a good childhood and was closer to his best friend Griz’s family than he was his own. They are now in college and Gucci has developed feelings for Griz’s sister Ella, but he knows that Griz wouldn’t be happy if they were together and he doesn’t want to jeopardize their relationship.
When Gucci finds out that Ella feels the same way the chemistry between them ignites but when all is said and done will he choose his love for Etta or loyalty to Griz?
Eddie Cleveland, you have done it once again. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book of the series PLAYER! However, I think I enjoyed this one more if that’s possible.
The story begins… Etta and Reed, known by the hockey world as Gucci, grew up together in the same house when Reed’s mother passed away and his father went to prison. Fast forward to them all being in college and Reed is on the hockey team with Etta’s brother Aiden (Griz) who are best friends. There is a rule about not being able to date hockey players sisters. During break Etta and Reed found themselves alone at the house and one thing led to another and a night of passion. The next morning, Etta’s parents and brother arrive home and almost catch her and Reed together. You’ll need to purchase the book to find out what happens next. Do they get their HEA, or will being Aiden’s little sister stop Reed from continuing the romance?
I received and Advanced Reader Copy for my honest review.
The second in Mr. Cleveland’s college hockey romance series. Reed is Etta and Aiden’s foster brother but lately he’s been having feelings for Etta that go way beyond brotherly. They get together but keep their relationship a secret from both Aiden and their parents, plus most of their friends. (Etta tells Kaylee.) They each feel that they betrayed Aiden while Reed feels doubly guilty for starting a relationship with the daughter of the people who took him in. New adult/college romances are not my favourite and sports romances probably come second to that, even. I also didn’t feel that this book was as funny as the first in the series, despite seeming very similar to a re-tread of the first book: college girl dates hockey player and doesn’t want anyone to know. But this was still an enjoyable read and I encourage others to give it a shot.
What can I say about Gucci? Well I put a pause on reading the King (Stephen that is) to read Gucci. Boy I wasn’t sorry about it either. In this book we see the struggle that Reed, AKA Gucci, faces everyday. At school, at home doesn’t matter he struggles to not disappoint his best friend and the family that took him in and treated him as one of their own when he had nowhere else to go. What he dosen’t realize is his best friends little sister is struggling too. Etta has had a crush on Reed (her brother’s best friend) for years, but she doesn’t understand why he ignores her so much. After one unforgettable night it’s hard for Reed to pretend he doesn’t want Etta. Etta is confused why Reed is back to pretending she doesn’t exist. Back at school confronted by their feelings they decide to give their relationship a try. But can they grab hold of their dreams with both hands and not let go? Can they risk losing the love of friends and family? You NEED to read this book to find out. You won’t be disappointed!
