After escaping a secret facility that’s experimenting on omegas, Jasper stumbles across the one shifter who will risk everything to protect him.Omega Jasper might not yet be out of his teens, but he’s already suffered a lifetime of misery. When his domineering father can’t match Jasper with a prestigious gay Alpha, he finds a more sinister way to achieve his goal. Jasper’s only choice is to break … choice is to break free from his prison—even if it costs him his life.
Hawk is a half-Native, half-wolf shifter member of the beta-driven Guardian Pack. While on perimeter duty, he discovers a runaway omega in the woods who is cold, scared and injured. His senses scream that he and Jasper are fated mates. But, before he can act on their shared destiny, Hawk needs to investigate why Jasper was being held captive.
Maybe the strange tales in the ancient texts of their ancestors are real after all…
Author’s Note: Guarding the Runaway Omega is Book Two in the Alaskan Wolf Alliance series and should be read in order. This Mpreg shifter story features a reluctant beta with a family secret and a pushy omega who can’t take no for an answer. But fate is on their side, so you can expect lots of steamy, knotty fun. This romantic tale with a dose of action and suspense includes a fluffy, feel-good HEA and we all know that wolves don’t cheat, so no worries there!
Triggers: On page battle violence and references to past assault.

I read this via the Unlimited programme.
When Hawk finds Jasper in the woods, all bloody and scared, his wolf goes nuts. He shouldn’t have a mate though, being a Beta. But all Hawk wants to do is protect Jasper, so that’s what he does, he can ask his dad the questions later. Jasper is running from a facility that was experimenting on Omegas. WHY isn’t clear, but Jasper knows he must get away. Coming across Hawk is a great start, but can jasper trust him, with all his own senses being dulled by the drugs they pumped him with? Can Jasper’s wolf return?
This is book 2 in the Alaskan Wolf Alliance series, and I STRONGLY recommend that you read book one, Rescued by the Alpha, before this one. A huge part of that story has a direct influence on this one. And, you know, cos I SAID so!
I came across an email that talked about book 3 in this series, and I jumped to get it. Not out yet, but I realised I had missed book two! How did that happen! So, I rightly corrected that problem, bought the book, and read it. Right there and then! And so glad I did!
Jasper is running from the place his father sent him to, to be experimented on. It’s not made clear just WHY, not at first, just that Jasper knows he must get away, get some help and go rescue his friend. Hawk finds Jasper in the woods, and all his senses go on high alert and his wolf goes nuts. It’s one of those proper MINE moments you get with wolves. Which Hawk did NOT expect, since he is classed as a Beta and only Alphas have Omega mates, right? He needs answers, both for and from Jasper, but also from his dad. Primary objective though, is to get Jasper safe and away from the pack he has been living with. THEN he can question his dad.
I loved that MINE moment was totally unexpected to Hawk! Took his totally by surprise! I like those, the surprising ones, and Hawk’s comes way out of left field, it really did. Jasper’s too, once his senses started to return, was a wallop up-side the head!
It’s sexy in places, unexpected in other, dark and dangerous in others too. It gripped me from the very first page and did not let go until I had read it all!
Loved that hawk takes Jasper to Nick and Elam’s (from book one) pack to get some help and some answers to the question his father didn’t answer. It was great to catch up with them and their story.
Sacha is the friend that Jasper needs to save, his story is next, along with the Alpha who saves him, and a Beta who is Hawk’s best friend. Looking forward to that one, I tell ya! Sparks is gonna fly!
Loving this series, I really am, so please keep them coming.

I immediately borrowed this book through Kindle Unlimited once I finished the first book. I was so excited to see there was a sequel to Rescued by the Alpha. Guarding the Runaway Omega did not disappoint. It was fabulous addition to the series. Hawk and Jasper were sweet together, and I adored their relationship.
Overall Rating: 4 Stars. Wonderful story and great writing – I had fun reading this book.
This is book 2 in the Alaskan Wolf Alliance. Hawk character will draw you in from the start. He has always thought of himself as a Beta. Then when he smell something wonderful that he must have and finds Jasper. The journey these two go on to find their inter strength and the fated mates is wonderful. Was hook from page one with all the twist and turns on this journey, will feel a mix of emotions. Highly recommend this book today if you love reading about shifters and Mpreg
M. M. Wilde has done it again. You will love this book! I literally could not put it down. This new world is fantastic. Full of unique characters and culture. It takes up where the Alaskan Wolf Alliance Book One, Rescued By The Alpha, ends. It is bright and vibrant. Pulling you into it’s magic.
Jasper is an omega, lost, freezing, hurt, weak, in short, in trouble. And, the bad guys are chasing him. Hawk stumbles across him and immediately knows this man is his fated mate. But he’s a beta, isn’t he? But he will do anything, risk everything, to keep his mate safe. His Alpha self will finally be released. Jasper can only go along with Hawk. The experiments done on him have rendered his wolf’s senses useless. He doesn’t smell his mate & can’t shift. Hawk takes him to the one Healer he knows he can trust, and an Alpha he hopes will understand. His mate is dying. And there are omegas still to rescue from those horrid scientists.
There is drama, angst, loyal friends, the worst kind of betrayal, compassion, passion, bravery, and sex. Hot sex. And a very unexpected pregnancy. There is a battle, so there is violence. These are wolves, after all. But in the end, HEA is achieved.
You will love this book as much as I did. It does stand alone. But I highly recommend reading book one, for the background, and because it’s a great book!
This book contains steamy MM sex, language and violence and is intended for mature, 18+ readers.
Guarding the Runaway Omega is book two in M.M. Wilde’s Alaskan Wolf Alliance series. The world being created in this series is very interesting and pulled me right in. Jasper and Hawk are great characters. They have good chemistry together. This definitely furthers my interest in the overall story of the series.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
