Former Navy SEAL Gage Winters is surprised to suddenly have custody of adorable twins after a childhood friend and his wife are killed. Adjusting to life as a new father is hard enough, but when the babies’ gorgeous aunt, Kylie Fredericks, shows up at his doorstep, determined to play a role in the babies’ lives, Gage can’t help but accept her help—at least for now. A loner by nature, Gage isn’t … isn’t completely happy about sharing his home, even if his new roommate is sexy, single, and a natural around babies. But he’s admittedly in way over his head and while he’s wary of Kylie, he can’t deny how nice it is to have her around. And not just for the babies.
Initially Kylie can’t see why her sister chose Gage as the twin’s guardian, but the longer she stays, the more she realizes that not only is Gage a good father, he’s also a good man. Not to mention pretty easy on the eyes. But Gage has one fatal flaw: he wants more children…and that’s something Kylie can never give him. Though they’re becoming a cozy family, Kylie has to remind herself that she and Gage have no future together.
When Kylie and the twins are attacked in a park, Gage’s protective instincts go into high gear. Keeping the babies and Kylie safe becomes his number one priority. Too bad he didn’t think about protecting his heart. With an unknown threat circling closer by the minute, Gage and Kylie will do whatever they can to keep the babies safe—even if it means risking their own lives and sacrificing the love their hearts are having an increasingly hard time denying.

Leslie know how to get you from the start. This book is about Gabe, a retired navy seal and Kylie the lost brokenhearted aunt. Well the story grabs you from the get go with a strong single man dealing with two babies feeding and changing is their routine. You laugh with just imagining this man taking care of two adorable babies. Then Kylie shows up because she is determined to make sure that her niece and nephew are well taken care of and plotting to take him to court for custody. Well she holds on to some secrets of her own until she lets it all out one day when they were both revealing secrets.
As you know, a good book with a Seal has to have some scenarios where he is the protector and it does not fail with this one and at the end he protects what belongs to him include Kylie. It is a very sweet touching story because as brokenhearted as she is about her secret she gets a great surprise at the end…

Love Love Love this!!! Another great book from Leslie North. Becoming daddy to twins after their parents are killed in an accident isn’t what Gage was expecting but he’ll do his best to raise and protect those babies. When Kylie, the babies aunt, shows up to help take care of them the attraction between them is real. When things start to happen, Gage has to protect Kylie and the twins.
Drama, suspense, danger and romance make for a great story with this book. You won’t want to put the book down until you finish reading, so grab your copy and curl up in your favorite reading spot and enjoy the story.

This book is number three in the SEAL Endgame series. This book is all about former SEAL Gage Winters. Never a dull moment with Gage, he finds himself to be an instant father to twins when his friend and wife are killed. He is in over his head here but he is determined to figure it out. Add on complication, the twins’ aunt, Kylie comes to help. She is determined to step up and have a role in these babies lives as well. As these two work together to raise these babies and figure out parenthood other things are brewing. One, there are thoughts and feelings that are developing and running through their heads. Two, the twins and Kylie are attacked on a trip to the park, is this random or not? This is in Gage’s wheelhouse, the first not so much. Can these two not only protect and raise these twins, can they do it together as a true family? Enjoy!

*Spoilers*
The book was well written. It follows Gage Winters, a former Navy SEAL who becomes a parent to twins Brennan and Maya after their parents, his best friend Tucker and Tucker’s wife Christine are killed. Christine’s sister Kylie Fredericks is upset that her sister would leave her twins in the care of Gage, and not her, and sets out to prove that she is more deserving and get the kids from the SEAL. After meeting Gage, she not only sees that the twins are in great care, but starts to fall for the guardian looking after her niece and nephew. Who can blame her for that? Reading about how Gage is with the babies and how he took on being a father like he would another mission is just so endearing.
I relate extremely well with Kylie as I know what it is like to be told you have endometriosis and that chance of you having children of your own is very unlikely. My heart broke more for her having a personal experience with that, and also thinking of yourself, or having other people seeing you, as broken and defective. I know what it is like to think that no one will ever see you as good enough because you are missing or have to work so much harder on that one thing. I was glad to see that Gage helped her get through that and see that she was not broken, and that it didn’t mean she could never be a mother. I also understand thinking that everything you do when helping to take care of another’s baby was wrong because you are or would be an unfit mother. Thankfully for Kylie, Gage was there, especially after he got to know her and fell in love with her himself. It is amazing what one strong partner can do to make you see that there are options and that they will accept you through everything. I love that Gage talked about not having to be of the same blood to be a family and how adopting is nothing to look down on and would be an option for them should they want to take that route. Gage reminds me so much of my husband, which I say a lot because I can see his good qualities in every good hard working person or book character, but more so with Gage because he made the same argument before we got married.
I like that they both ended up together and both got to help each other raise the kids. I do love that in the end she is pregnant and they get to have one of their own, both really do deserve that after all they went through to not only to be together but to make their family safe from her former employer. I hope that her pregnancy goes all the way and that her and Gage have a baby of their own someday, would not be opposed to a “where they are now” type book that address how they turn out. I know that with endometriosis it isn’t always the way things work out to have a baby, as my husband and I have been through countless miscarriages to get 2 pregnancies that resulted in the blessings of our 3 boys. While I know characters in books are not real people, I still hope and pray for people like her and I and that all her and Gage’s dreams and family’s dreams come true. Same for any woman dealing with an endometriosis or worse an infertility issue.
Overall it was a great book, with a wonderful happy ending, as well as beautifully written by Miss North. I am never disappointed in her books and the whole series with the SEAL’s is so awesome I highly recommend each and every one.

Romantic suspense has got to be one of my very favorite-est genres to read. And Leslie North does a beautiful job producing it. Give it a military hero and a vulnerable heroine and it’s better than catnip to me. Gage has retired from active service to care for his infant twin godchildren. Kylie’s rushed back from a job overseas to ensure her niece and nephew are safe with the SEAL. But, has Kylie brought home more than memories and grief with her? This pair will need to put all their differences aside to make sure the twins are well cared for and protected. It was almost heartbreaking to watch this pair dance around each other. Much like porcupines, whenever one got to close to a soft spot the other would bristle back aiming for someplace equally tender. I was really impressed that the author took on the topic of infertility with our heroine and the many ways it affects women’s opinions of their own self-worth.

Gage inherited his friend and wife twin babies since they passed away which was strange but he accepted the responsibility. Kylie wound up going to Gage’s house and told him that she wanted to be with her niece and nephew. Even though she could not understand why they left the kids to Gage. She though if anything happened to her twin sister she would have gotten custody of the babies. Kylie told Gage that she is in town for now. He suggests she stay there couple days it would help with him with the twins. He was not ready to get into a relationship or anything at the moment even though Kylie was hot. Kylie just wanted to be around the twins. She knew she could not have any herself so this was as close as it gets. Gage seemed to be annoyed with her most of the time which made her feel sad again about her sister. Kylie gets mugged and they took the diaper bag with all her stuff in it. While Kylie and Gage were out with the twins Gage’s house was broken into. Twists, turns, burglary and attempted murder makes this a none stop read.
