Former Navy SEAL Gage Winters is surprised to suddenly have custody of adorable twins after a childhood friend and his wife are killed. Adjusting to life as a new father is hard enough, but when the babies’ gorgeous aunt, Kylie Fredericks, shows up at his doorstep, determined to play a role in the babies’ lives, Gage can’t help but accept her help—at least for now. A loner by nature, Gage isn’t … isn’t completely happy about sharing his home, even if his new roommate is sexy, single, and a natural around babies. But he’s admittedly in way over his head and while he’s wary of Kylie, he can’t deny how nice it is to have her around. And not just for the babies.
Initially Kylie can’t see why her sister chose Gage as the twin’s guardian, but the longer she stays, the more she realizes that not only is Gage a good father, he’s also a good man. Not to mention pretty easy on the eyes. But Gage has one fatal flaw: he wants more children…and that’s something Kylie can never give him. Though they’re becoming a cozy family, Kylie has to remind herself that she and Gage have no future together.
When Kylie and the twins are attacked in a park, Gage’s protective instincts go into high gear. Keeping the babies and Kylie safe becomes his number one priority. Too bad he didn’t think about protecting his heart. With an unknown threat circling closer by the minute, Gage and Kylie will do whatever they can to keep the babies safe—even if it means risking their own lives and sacrificing the love their hearts are having an increasingly hard time denying.

Highly entertaining, sexy, fun, emotional and engaging adventure filled with exciting charters, witty banter, fun twists and exciting turns… really enjoyed this heart racing journey filled with thrilling twists and turns.
This book hurt my heart in so many ways, but it was so worth it to watch this little family get their HEA. Kylie and Gage both lost so much and gained even more…especially Kylie.
Kylie comes home to try and get custody of her sister’s twins. Her sister and her sister’s husband were in a car accident and died. They gave custody to Gage her sister’s husband best friend. The more Kylie gets to know Gage the more she realizes she can’t take the twins from him. I really enjoyed this book.
This book was good. I like how he was with the twins. He stepped right up and just did it. She was so judgemental about the whole thing. She wasnt there so I understand why her sister did what she did. Her sister trusted him with her kids. When it really mattered, she did the right thing for the kids and herself.

Loved this book from beginning to end. Gage and Kylie are completely opposite in every way. But when she shows up to check up on the twins Gage was guardian of. There opposites aren’t so different after all and when Gage has to keep her safe from an unknown threat things change and will never be the same. You will fall in love with Gage and Kylie right from the start. Even though they seem to hate each other you know all that sexual tension will be an explosive story and an unexpected ending

An ex-SEAL takes over guardianship of baby twins, when their parents die in a car accident, as their parents had asked him to in their last will.
Sister to the mother, Kylie, hears about this arrangement she is worried about the bachelor who her sister thought would be a better guardian than she could be. Moving in with him was not the first choice, but it just so happened. And little by little both find things they like about the other.
The story could have been just the same old story, but mixed into this love story is a mystery, when Kylie is first mugged and then later other things happen.
A good blend of thrill and entertaining romance.

A good plot with likeable characters. I won’t give a synopsis here as the author has done a good job of it already. Both characters, Kylie and Gage are likeable but both could do with a more detailed character development to understand their past more, so their reactions and personalities could be better understood. Kylie returns from a lucrative Interior design assignment from Japan to be near the babies and initially with great trepidation, then with gradual, comfortable partnership, then love, they embark on a routine to care for the twins. They both love the babies but Gage is the one entrusted with being the guardian, having sole custody of Chris and Tucker’s twins. Some of the situations might have been developed better. The plot and narrative could have been stronger but there were some lovely monologues from Gage that I think any woman would be happy to hear from a guy. We get a HEA, not because our heroes need to provide security for their charges but because they do love each other deeply. Apart from a dozen or so typos or small editing mistakes which could easily be rectified, the book is a pleasant read.

Wonderful writer I could read each book of hers over and over and never get tired of them. Storylines are never boring and her characters are always great.
Can they make a family for the twins
Guarding His Unexpected Twins tells the story of Gage and Kylie. Gage is a retired Navy SEAL who unexpectedly has become the guardian to his twin godchildren, Maya and Brennan, when their parents, Tucker and Christine die in an accident. Kylie is Christine’s sister and is working overseas at the time of the accident.
Gage is in way over his head, even for a SEAL, and when Kylie shows up after rushing back home he gratefully accepts her help. But Kylie is pissed that she was not given custody as she is the only relative to her niece and nephew and she is ready to fight for custody. But she is not sure if Christine did not give her custody because she believed Kylie would not make a good mother. Once Kylie moves in to look after the twins and sees Gage in action she starts to see him as someone who is not only strong but also tender and caring. Plus add in the fact that he is sexy as sin and built like a warrior and she cannot complain. Both Gage and Kylie start to soften towards each other but from Kylie’s POV it cannot be more as Gage wants his own children also and Kylie is infertile. Will Gage let her get away from him or will they be able to build a life together and raise the twins?
This is a sad but heartwarming story with more than a few tears she while reading. It takes on a couple serious subjects but deals with them in a thoughtful way and does not put an OTT spin on them.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Another great book and the final in this latest trilogy from the very talented Leslie North
Gage is struggling he may have been a decorated Navy Seal but that hasn’t prepared him to care for his god children after the death of their parents one of them was his best friend and seal brother. Kylie is the aunt of the children and is devastated that their care has been given to a stranger instead of her Just because people think she is a flake because of her profession (she is a fen shui decorator)) doesn’t mean she is and she has made her way home from Japan as fast as she can Can these two work together for the good of the twins and why does Gage feel it is a lot easier now that he has her help When danger stalks her and the twins he will step up to keep them safe what is the thing she has seen that puts her in danger. Do they have a future together when he wants a family and she can’t have children You will have to read to see
Gage’s life as a SEAL is over so when tragedy strikes and his best friend Tucker and his wife Christine die in an accident he finds out they named him as guardian of their twin babies. Gage is trying to get a routine down with the twins when Kylie Christine’s sister turns up and she is ready to fight for the twins after finding out she wasn’t named guardian. There is attraction, suspense, cute babies, steamy scenes and the unknown that will keep you turning the page to see where things end up.

Gage Winters had lost two of his team mates which he blamed himself for but had been cleared of any wrongdoing. He had taken a desk job but soon discovered it wasn’t for him. Then he discovered his best friend and his wife had been killed in an accident and Gage was made guardian of 8 month old twins.
Kylie Fredericks not only had to deal with the death of her sister but also that custody and guardianship had been left to Gage Winters. What could a Navy Seal possibly know about taking care of babies?
Strange things started to happen that had no possible explanation, the first thing was thought to be pure coincidence but when the second thing happened it looked like maybe the two were connected, but how and why?
As Gage and Kylie fight the attraction they feel for each other there is chaos with trying to figure out what is going on. There is mugging in the park, breaking in Gage’s house and now the Japanese Mafia is involved.
This book is a real page turner from the first chapter until the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed Gage and Kylie’s dance to the perfect HEA
He is a single father to beautiful twins.
She is aunt and doesn’t understand why she didn’t get custody of her sister babies.
Gage is overwhelmed with taking care of them and not sure if he is happy to have Kylie over.
It was great book. It was hot, it was emotional and enjoyable.
