Navesink Bank is this melting pot of all sorts of criminal activity. We have read so far in the reading order Jessica has on her website, Mallick Loansharks, Henchmen MC, private detectives, Third Street gang, the paramilitary group Hailstorm, the Grassi’s who are Italian mob, and now we have Ross Ward. The owner of the illegal underground fight club known as Hex. This isn’t just some back door crappy fight club, oh no, Ross Ward takes pride in what he’s created. One night he finds a women knocked out by the dumpster outside his club. Bleeding from her head he high tails it to the hospital to get her medical attention but when he sees her on his cameras the next day nothing will ever be the same. With a past and present like Ward’s who knew this normal women could change everything he thought would be his future.
This book was sexy AF yes, but it’s also very sad. You almost want to be a Mom and jump through the book to coddle Ward. But we don’t have to as the reader because in comes Addy to do it for us. She’s sweet and soft and very normal but that’s something Ross Ward needs. Light to overshadow the darkness he’s lived through his entire life. I loved this book to pieces. OH!!!! And Adler!!! I can’t forget we meet Adler! Oh! I need to read his book ASAP! Gotta love a man with an accent yum! He is from Ward’s past and I have to know who the women is who can sink her claws into a man like him. Phew!
Great book. Great story. Love Ward, he is one of my favorite characters. This story made me laugh and shed some tears. JG knows how to create characters that you want in your life. Great addition to the world of NB. Can’t wait for more!!
Navesink Bank really is a place I need to visit. First the Henchmen, then the Mallick brothers and now Ward. I feel like I need some bad boy in my life. Grudge Match is exactly what I expect from Gadziala. It’s steamy, and drama filled, with some violence sprinkled on top. I turned page after page needing to know what happened next. While the men of Navesink Bank maybe walk the line of legal and illegal they know how to treat a lady, well the right lady. Grudge Match is another must read from Gadziala.
5 Grudge Match Stars
I’ve been waiting for Ward’s Story from the minute he kept popping into some of Jessica’s previous books, Ryan’s book in particular. He has intrigued me from day one. His story did not disappoint. I may even go as far as to say that he may be my favourite of Jessica’s Alpha Males! But that’s always tough as all her alpha males are all so damn cute!
Ward and Addy are just dynamite from day one. From the first look that Ross gets on her he is hooked. Their story is full of passion and warmth. It had me in one big gooey mess just reading it! This is a standalone book and you can read it as is, but I highly recommend getting your mitts on Jessica’s previous books as they are well worth the read.
LOVE J’s books. this was another that was well written. a bit similar as in the same style, but still good. love her books.
I cannot say enough how much I LOVED this book! I’ve been waiting with fingers crossed for Ross’s book and Jessica Gadziala did not disappoint! Every book from this author keeps getting better and better! I cannot properly find the words to describe the awesomeness of this book so I will just say this..Read this book! Read all of Jessica Gadziala’s books because they are all amazing!
A hard man and a sweet woman = perfection. I don’t think this author can write characters I don’t fall in love with.
Ross Ward is a character we’ve briefly met here and there in other books as the owner of the underground fighting club named Rex where Laz and Pagan fought. I was curious about him but not quite the die hard fan I have been with other secondary characters that have been introduced. Well, that all changed about 5 minutes into this book. Ross was a man that you immediately knew after one act of kindness had a deeply buried heart of gold and who didn’t even know what he was missing in his life – which was a sweet, kind hearted woman by the name of Adalind. You knew that he had to have had quite the horrific past to make him into the man he was and I think my masochistic side looked forward to seeing what twisted things the author comes up for that past – and she didn’t disappoint.
I swear I could gush all day about how much I love this woman’s books. There was a new character introduced in this book that just went to the top of my “I want his book now” list (this is not something new – it happens almost every book) but I really want this guy’s book!!
