A very sweet and honest book. clean no steamy parts or s wear words. Enjoyed the farm life and small town life.
I loved this book. I grew up in the Midwest and related to every single line of this sweet tale. The small town rural characters were so accurate. The animals, the attachment to them, the friends and neighbors so caring about each other! It was a loving trip back to my roots. Loved every single word.
Fun book, easy to read. Kept reading page after page
Very slow book, to detailed in the first 200 pages. I kept reading to see if it got interesting and that didn’t happen until the last 50 pages were.
slow moving
This book was a bit boring. I had a hard time getting through it. I skipped over some sections because they were dragging on and on.
Needed a little romance
I enjoyed this book a lot! Growing up with relatives from Illinois and Iowa I felt very comfortable with the Midwest attitude and connections! Loved Melinda’s sense of adventure and her hard work! Also loved the details around all the animals!
The small town friendliness and helping hand is something is awesome!
Read it, but wouldn’t recommend it.
A warm novel full of very real characters. A great read about coming to value what is most important.
I thought that this would be a light summer reading. It was boring, too much detail about nothing,l and repetitive. I struggled through half of the book waiting for something to happen until I just erased it. Could have been a cute story with better writing.
Too much about one character and it was not realistic.
Characters were realistic, but disappointed that no romance was found. It’s just a story about a woman who returns home to a rural setting and the everyday challenges of living on a mini farm.
