A faded farmhouse, a devoted dog. One special season.Melinda is already at a crossroads when the “for rent” sign beckons her down a dusty gravel lane. A pleasant summer read. Easy and light with a happy ending.
This was a feel good book. Started off sad but the ending was awesome!!!!
Just an easy read for a time you don’t want to think or worry.
Great. Book
I have read every one of the books in this series so far. Most enjoyable reading
Binge read the series and eagerly awaiting the next volumne
I think the thing that I liked the most about this book was that Melinda did it all pretty much on her own. Of course, she had the support of her family and friends, and the community, but she wasn’t looking for, nor did she need a man to bail her out. Nice summer read.
I really enjoyed this book. I wish I could find a small town like this in real life. Lovely characters.
Very enjoyable
This book was very different. It was not romance or mystery but I enjoyed it a lot.
good read
I absolutely loved this book from page one to the end. Would most definitely recommend this book.
Loved the setting for this book. I felt as if I was back in my small town Iowa hometown. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
cant wait for the next in series
This is an easy read where not much really happens (compared with other genres), but it is still very comforting to tag along on this woman’s journey from a big city career to a small town farming way of life. I will buy the next in the series when I need a break from the thrillers I often read.
I could identify with the subject, as to the farm. I could identify with the character so I really enjoyed it. looking forward to the next one in the series.
Really enjoyed book, had ups and downs but good reading
I loved this book and can’t wait to read the other 3 books. From city girl to farm girl.
I liked the story, and even bought the next in the series. I would have given it 5 stars if it had more of an ending.
I can feel her struggle. It represents how strange life can be and how it can change in the drop of a hat.
