Grizzly Attraction: Whiskey Witches Universe Season 2
Hattie Hunt
A great Whiskey Witches book (I love each and every one!) And my second book by this author. Emma and Mason are adorable.

First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Wow!!! This story was gr8. It took off from the where the last story, (Bear Moon), ended, yet can still be read alone. Emma, a bear-shifter, is forced to fight to be alpha of her clan, & she’s dealing with a psychotic mother. She meets Mason who’s a porcupine shifter & nerdy school teacher and interest sparks. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Grizzly Attraction by Hattie Hunt is a great book I couldn’t put it down. I just kept turning page after page because it made me forget about everything but reading to find out what happens next. The story is focused on Emma a grizzly bear shifter and how her life changes quickly and drastically. Every change Emma makes revolves around her mother the clan leader Cheryl’s attempt to try and force her alpha daughter Emma to do what Cheryl decrees. This story is really about Emma choosing her own path to love with Mason a nerdy porcupine shifter. Anyone who likes paranormal romance will love this book as much as I did.. Emma’s story is a fun, witty, and rousing love story of a quirky romance with great paranormal characters, set in the wonderful world of the Whiskey Witch Universe. I can only say that if you don’t read this book you will be missing a great read! Grizzly Attraction is Emma’s witty, fun, and rousing love story.
First I have to say this is my first porcupine shifter book, and I loved it! Who would have thought a bear and a porcupine would fall for each other. If you have read Bear Moon then you know Emma, a bear shifter, is Joe and Brett’s little sister and her mother Cheryl is the alpha. Mason is a porcupine shifter who moves to Oregon to be near his retired parents. This is a well written, entertaining story that had me hooked from the first page until the last. Loved all the interesting characters and the returning ones too.
Emma is next in line to be alpha of her clan of bear shifters and Mason is a porcupine shifter new to town. The attraction is immediate but the hurdles involved in being together are immense. Emma’s mother wants to keep the clan pure bear and Mason has little experience in living in a shifter community. This book made me laugh out loud at times. I have not found a book in this world that I have not enjoyed. A fast paced, easy read that is incredible. Recurring characters make appearances and new characters are introduced. Another great addition to this universe.

Hattie Hunt’s, Grizzly Attraction brings us Emma Elliot’s story in the Whiskey Witches series. It’s well written and filled with dysfunctional family intrigue and suspense. This is a fast paced story that kept me immersed until the last page.
We first met Emma in Bear Moon, Shadow Sisterhood book 1, as the younger sister of twins Joe and Brett. In this book we get to know who this strong, kind, and independent woman really is.
Mason is a porcupine shifter that grew up in DC and hardly ever shifted. When his parents retire to Oregon, he decides to relocate with them. He has no concept of living in a pack or shifter etiquette, which is immediately evident when he partially shifts in front of the pretty baker. Emma likes him and decides to teach him the right etiquette before he gets in trouble with the Sisterhood.
Emma’s mother, Cheryl the alpha is even more out of control than ever. She’s slowly destroying their clan with bigotry and ancient rules that don’t fit in today’s society like arranged marriages, and total obedience, etc. Emma finally challenges her for the alpha position and wins. But things get more difficult as she spends more and more time with Mason and less guiding her clan that needs her.
Emma has big decisions to make: Alpha of the clan that needs her, or life with Mason. Who would of thought a bear would be so attracted to a porcupine.
While each book can be read without the others books, there are ongoing storylines carried through all the series. But, if you want a richer, deeper understanding of this series, you might want to start with the first book of the Whiskey Witches, ‘Demon Whiskey’ by S.M. Blooding.
This is a great five star romance complicated by doing right by her clan or loving the man she wants . There are many twists and turns that will keep you involved to the last page.

Different spin on the shifter PNR. It was great seeing Emma and Mason relationship to shyly blossom. It’s difficult enough trying to pave your own road for the future but add in meddling family and you have a challenge on your hands. I look forward to more adventures in this series.

This story was so good, and I loved reading about Emma so much more than her brothers. She possessed a strength that they never had, and eventhough he wasnt an Alpha and didnt know much about the shifter world, he was strong in his own way when it came to her. He was supportive, caring, and knew his worth . This was such a great read.

This is a lovely adult tale of finding romance outside the predictable boundaries and takes less than a day to read.

This installment of the Whiskey Witches is a side story of Emma, Joe’s sister and Mason. She is a grizzly and he a porcupine shifter. She owns half a bakery and he teaches at the shifter school. She overthrows her mom for the alpha position in the bear clan. He has no clan and his parents quit shifting. How are they attracted to one another so deeply? Her clan does not like the idea of them dating. Even more, the one person she thought would be her forever turned into her best friend. But, lately things are off with him! This is a romance story without the regular demons, angels and the Whiskeys or Dexx involved. What happens when Emma’s clan gets a hold of Mason? What does the high alpha have to say about them? What is going on with Emma’s best friend? Will Emma and Mason end up together or not? Will she remain the alpha? I received this book via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary response.
This one was fun! Again, I wish the heroine was a bit faster on the uptake, but I understand that she’s tended to overthink and overplan and it’s hard to change that. I loved the hero; he’s a cutie.

Emma is the alpha daughter of the elliot bear clan and Mason is the new teacher at the paranormal school. there are many things in their way, her mother, her clan, her obligations… this story has a great plot, fun characters, some steam, great fights and plenty of emotion.

Shiftings (Whiskey Witches Series Boxset Book 2): Since these were three different series, I read each series instead of the first book of all three and then the second books. Since I’ve read all the books since Demon Whiskey, it didn’t hurt the reading order. If you’re new to the Whiskey Witches world, you’ll do yourself a favor by starting with the first book Whiskey Witches. While each book can be read without the previous books, there are ongoing storylines carried through the all the series. Knowing the past just makes for a richer, deeper understanding of the individual books. I contacted Blooding to review her books.
F. J. Wolfram, Big Bad Djinn #1 – This is my second read by this author and I enjoyed BBD. I’ve read the Whiskey Witches series and this spinoff is the next step. After reading Double-Double Demon by Wolfram, I backtracted to this series. BBD is Dexx’s domain, with Paige being elsewhere working leaving him behind to handle things. Well written, fast paced and with plenty of action, which is what D-DD shares. The characters aren’t unknown to us that have read WW and the new ones add depth and conflict to the story. There’s plenty of intrigue, suspense and humor to keep the reader glued to the pages. 4*
F. J. Wolfram, Lizard Wizard #2 – This is probably better than Big Bad Djinn, which was pretty good. Well written, fast paced and funny, LW is a great addition to the series. Dexx has grown in his roles. The intriguing storylines twist like a bronco keeping the reader’s interest until the last page. I’m ready for more of the Red Star gang. 4*
Hattie Hunt, Bear Moon #1 – This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed BM. Well written and intriguing. These characters are interesting and characters from the Whiskey Witches are present, too. The twisting plot holds suspense, gamut of emotions and is fast paced. 4*
Hattie Hunt, Grizzly Attraction #2 – A bear and a porcupine? Sometimes diversity is too much, but it didn’t matter in this interesting story. Well written with the emphasis heavy on family and friends, this was a quickly read story. The characters were good, even the baddies, and made for an interesting and entertaining story. 4*
S. M. Blooding, Desert Shaman #1 – More of the Whiskey Witches and Paige is going nuts with all her responsibilities. Well written and filled with intrigue and suspense, this fast paced story keeps the reader immersed until the end. The old characters are dealing, again, with new, nasty characters. But there’s still humor, along with more paranormal dudes. 4*
S. M. Blooding, Whiskey on the Rocks #2 – Paige has less than four weeks to go before their twins are born and is she at home resting for the big event? Are you new to the series? Heck no, she’s working. Well written, intriguing, fast paced, just the normal writing style of Ms. Blooding, along with a good dose of humor. The characters are great as always and keep the twisting storylines moving and the reader immersed in all the happenings. Another WW story well done. 4*
Shiftings Series End.
