GRIND is book 3 in “Powertools: The Original Crew” series and honestly, I don’t think it can be enjoyed w/out reading the series in order. GRIND picks up directly where DRILLED left off.
As always, this author handles polyamorous relationships with grace and sexiness and this book doesn’t disappoint. It is a little heavier than the other stories as it deals with things changing (don’t we all hate change) and aging and basic adulting things. Even with the heaviness, it is still sexy as all get out and a direct and to the point story.
I always enjoy this author’s writing and recommend reading all of her books in order for a richer reading experience.
If you like sweet, clean stories, this book is NOT for you. This book is HOT!!!
The Powertools Crew is back at it
Christi comes home from a family wedding to nothing. Her home and retreat have burned to the ground is a massive fire. What will she do from here? Fortunately for her she has her husband Dave and the Powertools family. They rally around her while she waits for the insurance company to tell her what her next step is. And they take her mind off of everything with a lot of hot, steamy sex.
This is the third book in the series. As the future of the Powertools is changing they take another hit which is where the previous book ended. My heart just bled for Kayla. It just had to be devastating for Kayla and Dave. There is a rainbow at the end for them and it made me so happy how things are playing out for the Powertools. While reading this one I could feel the emotions rolling of the characters. It’s a big moment for them all. This book delivers on the heat that is known to happen between this group of friends. There is definitely fan yourself steam happening. I like this series because we revisit the gang, but also because it gives me depth along with the heat. I look forward to what is next for this crew.
Ms Rylon has done another great job with this quick, sexy read.
This story is a quick and emotional read, jam packed with heat, with chemistry, with love, with one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey, and so much more.

I received an author’s copy and have left an honest review
I just can’t get enough of the original Powertools Crew! I love the characters and they story lines they have. So many emotions in this story that pull you in lots of directions. I can’t wait for Pound to come out to see how everything works out for these characters.
Received an advance copy from the author.

This installment of the return of the Powertools is full of all the sexy and passionate moments we have come to expect, but with so much more as well. You will watch as they struggle through the loss of Kayla’s dream, as it burns to the ground. While trying to decide what is best for their own future, Dave and Kayla also need to consider the rest of the crew as well. What follows is a true testament to the bond the Powertools have with one another.

I was so glad to get this follow on book to Drilled since it ended with the Power Tools divided geographically and with news of a wildfire wiping out Kayla’s beloved Bare Natural Resort. And yes, it’s even worse! the land cannot be rebuilt on for years! So sad to see the naturally calm Kayla distraught. Finally, after comforting from her beast of a man Dave and then joined by Devon, Neil, and James, they decide to return to Middletown where the rest of the crew is working. There she can to consult with her brother, with whom she has a shaky relationship and also with Mike, always the foreman, and Joe and his Uncle Tom who has land they might buy. Screwed, Drilled, and Grind seem to be about overcoming troubles and handling new opportunities in the Power Tools’ ‘happy ever after.’ Leaves me looking forward to POUND to see how their growth into multiple crews, Kate’s late-life baby, and planning and building a new spa and resort turns out. For sure other poly groups will be incorporated bringing new challenges and new issues for them to creatively solve.

I felt for Kayla that her business was burned in a wildfire but I liked that the crew and especially her husband Dave want to be there to help her. I liked that there was a good mix of emotions to keep me invested in all the characters.
I received an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
Picking up right where Drilled ended, Grind starts with Kayla and Dave having to figure out their new normal. Their new everything essentially, as all that they owned—except for the clothes on their backs and themselves—was burned beyond recognition in a fast moving, totally devastating brush fire.
And it totally devastated not only their land and property and Kayla’s business, but devastated their lives and livelihood. And left them wondering just how they’re going to rise from the ashes. And left them wondering if their bond with the rest of the Powertools was going to be strong enough to see them through.
Grind is a gritty, sexy, smart story about just how fickle Fate can be—and just how challenging life can be when you thought you had everything you ever wanted in life, love, happiness. And then Fate crashes the party. I loved how the Powertools gang rallied around Kayla and Dave, and showed just how strong their bond is regardless of time or distance. Or when acting like a royal bitch. I love this crew and am loving this look into what happens after their happily-ever-after. Now that the gang will be together again, I’m dying for more and cannot wait until Pound releases next!
Well not even a chapter in and the tears are brimming! So many tears! Sympathy, sadness, happiness, lust and love. You guessed it…the Powertools are here to wring you dry.
Their world has been scorched. Kayla’s life turned upside down as the extent of the fire damage is discovered. So much to process, how to get back on their feet, where and when. The crew is split, but it look like life is taking a turn, new beginnings and new experiences with old and new friends.
It’s amazing how the crew is always there for one another. They manage to work through the worst of situations together.
When you thing the path in life you have taken is the only path to be on. Only to realize maybe we can take a different in life and be just as happy.
I loved that we get to see what happens from the cliffhanger of the previous book. This is the 3rd book in the series and I do recommend you read them in order.
Its great catching up with some of my favorite characters. The book shows the love between friends who have become family. There is always support with the group of family and friends. I love it. I was emotional with this so for me when I cry reading a book thats means I will love it that much more. I highly recommend this series.
I didn’t have the pleasure of reading Drilled but that didn’t take away from this story. It picks up right as Kayla and Dave’s world is destroyed due to a fire. The dynamic between Kayla and Dave and the rest of the crew is going to be put to the test during this very trying time. Loved the steamy scenes between everyone in this story. Great read and I can’t wait to read more from this crew.
I have loved the Powertools since that first book years ago. They are emotional, steamy, fun, and full of love and friendship. As time progresses, the polyamorous family unit they have created in this crew of nine only strengthens.
Lately, they’ve been challenged in ways they’ve never before experienced. Ways that threaten to break their bonds. In this installment, Kayla and Dave return home to deal with the devastation that is now their reality. Devon, Neil, and James are there to offer their support and loving arms, as are the rest of the crew even though they do become separated. Big decisions are made, tempers flair, a lot of tears are shed (by the characters and this reader!), and anxieties spike but always there and never wavering is the love and friendship the Powertools crew share – in many, many beautiful and steamy ways.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Grind by Jayne Rylon has us back with the original Powertools Crew, and it is always SO GOOD when we’re with them!
This one has a heck of a lot of FEELS packed in tight, and really showcased the power of friendship and the power of love and how important it is to keep working at both. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey, but knew I could rely on the crew to be there to catch me, though they have A LOT on their respective plates.
I had so many feelings for Kayla and just wanted to give her the biggest hug! And same goes for Dave! And the entire crew of course!
And I adored seeing Devon be so sassy! I’ve always adored her as a character and love seeing her evolution.
The chemistry remains combustible, and the acrobatics and gymnastics admirable! The writing is shmekshay and you’ll definitely always be hungry for more!
If you’re looking for a delicious little escape with the Powertools crew, be sure to sink your teeth into Grind!
P. S. I cannot wait to read Pound!!!
This is the 3rd book in the Powertools: The Original Crew Returns series. It picks up where Drilled ended.
A devastating wildfire has destroyed Dave and Kayla’s home and the business that Kayla has built up and owned for many years. With the love and support of Dave and the remaining crew (that hasn’t already relocated to Middletown), Kayla vows to rebuild. Is it possible, or did life throw them a wrench, as well as a lifeline?
While waiting for the insurance company’s assessment, Dave, Kayla, Neil, James and Devon decide to visit Middletown to help the rest of the crew with projects. Dave is worried about how Kayla is dealing with everything, and he thinks it may help for the entire crew to reconnect.
Decisions need to be made. What will Kayla do about the business? What should be done about the fact that the crew is separated into two groups/cities?
This is a great addition to the series, and I cannot wait for Book 4 – Pound!!
Oh my goodness, this was amazing story of how the original crew found their way back to their roots. Kayla and Dave lost so much that they didn’t realize what they needed all along. They just showed that no matter what life throws at you, that you can always prevail and overcome what you need and want. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. I absolutely loved this book. Need more and soon. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
This book picks up right where the second book ends with the devastating fire of Kayla and Dave’s resort, and home … Kayla wants to rebuild on the same land but will find out it will be at least 20 yrs before she can… she is devastated and Devon James and Neil wont let them go live in motel and insist on them living with them and boy do they cheer Kayla and Dave up power tools style …. Kayla decides to go visit Mike and Joe and the rest and there she finds out she can start over if she wants …. does she and what decisions do the power tools make together you will have to read to find out .I cant wait for the next book …

This is the third book in the new Original Crew Returns world of Powertools. This is yet another great book in this series. The characters that we love from the other books are becoming like friends as the series progresses. The storyline was interesting with some real plot twist. Another great story by Jayne Rylon.
Very good. It is well written and I loved it. It was very sad when the resort builded to the ground from a forest fire. Can they rebuild, will they want to rebuild? Can the powertools stay together? It’s another HOT HOT book a must read. Love that characters from other Jayne’s books come in to play.
