After having a five million dollar reward placed on Griffin’s head it’s time to turn the tables and put this to an end. Another great HMM novel in the Griffin series. She keeps the action going from page one. One of her best books to date.
She’s the deadliest operative the CIA has ever known. Alexandria Kingston is The Griffin. She’s been to hell and back with a multitude of assassins coming out of the woodwork, like cockroaches. She dealt with being kidnapped and survived a battle to the death.
Just when she’s with the love of her life, Shane Donovan, the CIA has called her out of the country. She really doesn’t want to go, especially as she has been informed that she will not be the one performing a hit … she is only allowed to watch.
But she knows the man assigned to kill … he happens to be an old lover. And one again, she’s in the middle of a tornado … a deadly one.
As with the two previous books of this series, there is action galore. It’s a real page turner. Although this is 3rd in this series, it is easily read as a stand alone. However, as always, I recommend starting at the beginning. The Griffin is an unforgettable character, finely drawn and credible.
Many thanks to the author for the advanced digital copy of this thriller. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
This third book in The Griffin Series by Morgan Hannah Macdonald was an entertaining and most enjoyable continuation of Alex’s action-adventures as she attempts to cancel the bounty placed on her while staying alive. There is plenty of action and suspense as Alex moves against the baddies once again while trying to right wrongs that were made against innocents. The developing love story continues to become more solid and defined and dominates much of Alex’s thoughts and energy. Of course, she can still physically kick some ass when necessary and does so without hesitation if she thinks it is even slightly necessary. I would hope the author might continue this series, but who knows. This is a very very late voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from 2019.
The third book in Morgan MacDonald’s Griffin series doesn’t disappoint! Morgan treats her audience to a well written back story to tie some pieces together so if you have not yet read the first two books, you won’t be lost. Although I Highly recommend reading the first two as well. A wonderfully well written mystery thriller with likeable characters and a story line that you ride through not being able to put the book down once you start. Alex works for the CIA, code name The Griffin, as an assassin. But now, she is comfortable with her family and her long time love, Shane who is head of security for her family compound. When her handler Atticus Jones calls her and tells her they discovered the person who sent out a contract for 5 million dollars for her and they are going to take him out, she is excited and raring to go. Unfortunately, her handler tells her it is NOT going to be her hit, she can go and revel in the results, but Shai Mizrah, a Mossad agent and her former lover will be doing the deed. But, best laid plans…do go awry and the adventure begins. Will she get out of this alive, will Shai and will she be able to protect the girl they commandeered to help them with their plan? So many questions and the best way to answer them is to read the book! I Love this series and you will too. I received and ARC from the author, but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Gosh, was this novel worth the wait! I have just finished reading the ARC of “Griffin’s Revenge”, by Morgan Hannah MacDonald, and it will hold you spellbound from the very first page. Alex Kingston, (the Griffin), is her typical fire-brand self; she lets Nothing stand in the way of her and the attainment of her goals as an agent with the C.I.A. She has a home in Paris, but her home-base is a beautiful mansion in Boston. Alex is very happy as the love of her life is Finally realized with Shane Donovan as his unhappy marriage of five years ends; however, she hasn’t lost the cutting adrenaline edge that comes with being an undercover C.I.A. agent! The only damper to this happiness is that a five million dollar bounty has been issued on the Dark Web for the death of Alex!
Alex is called to meet with Atticus, her handler. He informs her that Prince Omar Bin Salman Al-Saud has taken the hit out on her. Five years earlier Alex had broken into his palace and freed a young girl he had kidnapped, and he wanted Alex Dead! Alex is now going to be allowed to Watch the elimination of the Prince if all plans go right – but with Alex, When does all plans go right?
Alex is paired up with a Mossad Agent, Shai Mizrah, who is in charge of the operation. This is when Alex learned that this was common practice for the Prince – the Kidnapping & Rape of young girls! She wanted to eliminated him Herself …That’s when all hell breaks loose!
This is a fantastic book! “Griffin’s Revenge”, by Morgan Hannah MacDonald, will be released on 1/13/19, and is a book to be read & re-read. If you enjoy suspense/thrillers, I can’t encourage you enough to go our and get this book, you will be definitely glad you did. Morgan Hannah MacDonald is, as usual, up to her usual fantastic writing skills…
This is the 3rd book in the Griffin’s series written by Morgan Hannah MacDonald. This series is not for the faint at heart or those who like a cozy mystery. This book is filled with action and violence. I recommend you read the series in order. That will give you background on who the Griffin is. She is as tough as it comes as she battles the bad guys and tries to keep herself safe when they put out a hit on her. This particular book shows a softer side of her as she works to save young girls being sold to be a “wife” to a very evil prince.
Another page turning thriller from Morgan Hannah MacDonald! Griffen’s Revenge is the 3rd book in the Griffin Series, and once again she does not disappoint. Even though this is part of a series, it can also be read as a stand-alone without being totally lost because you get enough back story to let you know what is going on without being too repetitive. A well written tale full of action, drama, intrigue, and a little bit of love. If you’re reading this as a series you will note the growth and depth of characters you’ve met previously. If this is your first voyage with This author you will certainly want to go back to The beginning. Guaranteed a great read.
In this exciting continuation from the previous book, Alexandria and the CIA finally discover the identity of the man who put out the five million dollar contract hit resulting in every deadly assassin coming for her. Alex took care of the assassins but now she wants revenge.
Alexandria and Shane have finally put the past behind them and dealt with current things that were keeping them apart and consummated their love. Literally right after that Alex gets a call from her CIA handler that she has to leave the country for a job. Twist is she will only be an observer not the assassin. And the twist gets bigger when it turns out the assassin assigned the job is her ex lover Shai Mizrah, a Mossad agent.
All the pieces that were missing from the previous book, the mission that Alex was on 5 years ago that had her crossing paths with person that put the hit out on her and the reason he executed it, are finally revealed.
Plenty of action and suspenseful moments. Curious what’s next for Alexandria and her assassin alter ego The Griffin.
Alexandra Kingston, The Griffin, is a badass. She is a force of nature, and you best not get on her bad side. This is a fast moving thrill ride as she balances her professional job and her desire for a life she now realizes might be possible. Excellent thriller; I think you’ll enjoy this.
