I was the golden child. The one all the Cerberus guys looked up to. I was on my way to becoming the next career Marine. But after my last deployment to Syria, being a Marine was no longer an option.Unfortunately, my not so honorable discharge from the Corps didn’t get rid of the demons created while I was enlisted. Not even my childhood friend can save me. I’ll destroy her just like I destroyed … her just like I destroyed everything else I touched.

It’s been so long since I’ve read a book from this lady and I missed her. She has written one of my favorite MC series and since that day, my interested in this genre grew even more.
Marie James knows what she’s doing. Her book will make you scream not only in fear but also smile with joy and will melt a few panties on the way… Just have a look for yourself and you’ll see.
Griffin is her latest release and it’s the eight-book from the Cerberus MC 2.0 Second Generation… But if you want to know these series start from the beginning. Read Cerberus MC series first and only then grab 2.0 Second Generation l. I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
This new book explores the lives of Griffin and Ivy.
Griffin was supposed to follow his career in the Marines but his last tour crushed him and made him leave the marines behind. Now he had a bunch of demons chasing him and…
Ivy has been in love with Griffith getting for so long that she can’t precise the date. Being the daughter of the MC president she’s well guarded but sometimes love speaks louder. When Griffin returns she only has one thought. To be with him, no matter what, and help him the best way she can. But sometimes…
Mesmerizing… This is the word that popped into my head when this book was over.
You know that I’m an MC fanatic and Marie James has given us this series that will rock your world. Each book is magnificent and this new one was so much better.
Perfect plot, very well written, super engaging and intense.
It’s amazing what a traumatic experience can make to your mind. One minute you think you’re OK and the next everything crashes down. Just like that.
Sometimes you might want to run away or even die but life has other ideas and sometimes…
I’ve been wanting to read ghee two stores for so long that I was afraid to be disappointed but when this book ended o wanted to slap myself… Seriously? How could I doubt this author…
It was amazing to have news from the other main characters. It was perfect.
I need to make you see that this series is to die for and that you must read both series. Just trust me.
Marie James… You can’t disappoint. Your words have the ability to lift my heart but with a flick of a page, you can make me cry.
You are amazing and I can’t wait for Samson’s story to arrive.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Wow, what a story. I absolutely fell in love with Griffin after a while. But really wanted to batter him.
I had mixed feelings about Griffin. But I fell in love with this couple after Griffin started being better.
I highly recommend this story.
I was very excited for the return of the Cerberus MC series!! Griffins book did not disappoint! As always Marie writes an awesome story that you just cant put down. Griffin has had the perfect girl right in front of him his entire life. Will he finally see her for who she truly is? Ivy has loved Griffin for as long as she can remember but will she stand by him when he needs her most? You’ll just have to find out!
Have loved this series from the beginning and as we head more and more into the second generation my attachment to this series grows stronger. Griffin is drowning in guilt, shame and nightmares but can his childhood friend and the one that has loved him from afar be his saviour. In true Cerberus MC fashion this family will show their strength, love and loyalty to Griffin even when he fights them every inch of the way. Griffin and Ivy’s story is eye opening as he finally sees the girl that is now a woman before him. Their story to happiness is hard and at times you want to dislike Griffin but the torment that plagues will have you cheering for him to have his pleas for help heard. A story that is highly emotional that will cause your heart to ache, appreciate our servicemen and have you falling in love right along side these two.
This is book 8 it can be read as a standalone if you haven’t yet met the guys of the Cerberus MC. Personally I think books are typically best read in order so you know all the characters and their past stories, but no worries if you haven’t in this case.
Griffin is dishonorably discharged from the Marines. At 23 he had planned to follow in his uncles footsteps but that plan is derailed when his actions in Syria begin to haunt him.
Ivy has been in love with Griffin since they were kids but he was a few years older so things didn’t happen between them since he left for the military. When he comes back she is the only one he lets get close to him, but his demons won’t let them have an HEA without a fight.
This was such a well written story. You could understand why Griffin was haunted by his actions and why he needed Ivy in his life. I loved seeing some old favorite characters and I can’t wait to see who’s story is next!

This book is the most sweetest and haunting story ever, Griffin is a good guy with a damaged soul who believe he doesn’t deserve anything good in in his life. But there’s Ivy the most sweetest, shy, and good girl to a fault, but together these two made a beautiful couple, she’s his light to the darkness and without Ivy, Griffin won’t survive. At the end of it all they decide to stand together, beautiful story miss Marie James!
It feels like ages since reading a Marie James book and this book did not disappoint me at all. I absolutely loved this book and how the author really gets into the minds of the characters. I feel as if I am right there with the characters and in the midst of their good times and struggles. Griffin has always wanted to be a Marine, grew up got his wish and then things went awry. He is struggling after being discharged and Ivy (one of his childhood friends who has had a crush on him forever) is there trying to help.
This book really puts these characters through a mental and emotional journey and has left me longing to read through this again. I love these characters and the other characters who come into play (which I have read about over the years) makes me feel even more at home with this book
When I’m in the mood for a Motorcycle Club (MC) romance, there is really only one author I turn too… Marie James. There’s something about the way she creates her club that I am so in love with. Plus the fact that we are now meeting generation 1.0’s children in Cerberus MC Generation 2.0 is just plain exciting! The major thing I love about this entire series is that Marie James has created a MC that is close to all the bikers I have meant. They are strong, alpha men that have a heart if gold and would give people the shirt off their backs. They may be strong but their woman brings them to their knees.
Griffin is gruff and hard. He was the man who had it all… everyone was looking up to him, he was all set to be a career marine. But his last stint in the corps and he’s discharged. He has a ton of demons. When he comes home he’s struggling. He lashes out. He’s a jerk. He’s hard to like but we get inside his head and knowing his struggles really touched me. James made Griffin so… gosh, I don’t even know the word. We see and get why he is who he is and he’s been through so much more than he should have been. He pretty much just hates himself so he takes it our on everyone else. My heart could barely handle him… I just wanted to hold him! I felt like he needed it. Ivy was what he needed even if he didn’t want it. She was able to soothe him though, to calm his mind. He’s battling so many demons as well as himself. I loved the real look Marie James gives us with PTSD and the struggle our military face after coming home no matter how they were discharged.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Griffin’s story is not all sunshine and roses, but then neither is real life. The author does an amazing job tackling difficult, real life issues. We have to see and deal with the bad in the story to get to the good. It makes us appreciate the good that much more. Was great checking in with the Cerberus family again.
Griffin is such a great addition to this already fan-damn-tastic series. This book is a total page turner and you will totally fall for Griffin and Ivy.
Marie James has a way with her writing that just pulls you into a story and won’t let go until the end.
This is a must for your TBR list. Actually, not really. It’s a one-click and read it now.
Ok I sure I have said it before but this one is my favorite so far. Each story gets better than before Marie has a way of making me fall in love with all her characters. Marie James is an author that no matter what I am reading or doing I will stop and read her book until the end. Inve I have gotten to the end I want to read it over again and this is no different I keep trying to turn the page even when it was in the last page. I really Reccomend this book.
Griffin has a haunted mind and it seems that only Ivy can ease the haunting. Griffin cant make his mind up if he wants Ivy close or far away. Will Ivy still be around when he makes his mind up or will she be gone?
Check out the 2.0 Cerbus Series.
Marie James is freaking amazing. The words she writes are freaking magic. Like how I initially didn’t like Griffin. The way he acted and the things he said when he first came home had me not being a big fan of his. But his pain and hurt struck a chord. He was clearly messed up over what he’d done. And it was just written in such a moving way that by the end I loved him. That’s the kind of magic in her writing. Griffin was just one of the things I loved. Ivy was so much stronger and kinder and just amazing then I thought possible. The previous books gave mere glimpses of her but this was so much more. This whole story left me with that satisfied and happy feeling that I generally get after finishing a book by Marie James. It was full of so much emotion and touched on sensitive subjects but in a way that clearly showed care and respect.
After finishing this I’m so very excited to see what more she has in-store for readers in her Cerberus series.
Griffin: Cerberus MC book 8 by Marie James 5 Stars
This book has all the feels I have come to expect from Marie James. She has a way of pulling out emotions in her readers with every page turn. This book had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation of what was going to happen next. If you haven read the Cerberus MC series, I HIGHLY recommend starting with book one. Each book is about a member of the MC and their love interest, but run chronological order. This review may contain spoilers from the first 7 books.
I have been waiting for Griffin’s story. He is the son of the Cerberus MC’s Vice President. The daughter of Kincaid, the MC President, has had a crush on him since the beginning. Ivy is the one who always lived in the shadow of her twin sister. As Ivy went off to college, Griffin fulfills his lifelong dream by joining the Marines and following in his old man’s footsteps.
He does some things that he regrets while being enlisted and gets himself kicked out of the only thing he loved in his life. Griffin comes back no longer the guy he used to be. Ivy comes home from college for a visit and her feelings haven’t changed for the guy she has been in love with her whole life. Griffin notices her for who she has become and realizes he needs her. He is so messed up from things that happened during his deployment, but feels safe with Ivy.
This book is a must read for anyone who loves Alpha males, military drama, romance, or Motorcycle Club books. Pick it up! You won’t regret it!
I have loved every book in this series and Griffin sure didn’t disappoint. It was everything I wanted it to be and a perfect continuation of the series.
After getting discharged from the military, Griffin struggles to find peace with the actions he was forced to take. With his world turned upside down, he hits rock bottom and doesn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Enter Ivy. She has loved Griffin for years but she always seemed to be in the shadows of her sister. When Griffin comes home broken, Ivy makes it her mission to put the pieces back together.
But can Griffin allow her to be the light? Will Ivy finally find her place outside of her sister’s shadow?
This book will give you all the feels!
Talk about an emotional read. Griffin was loved and respected by other members of the Cerberus crew. He left for the Marines one man and came home a broken shell of his former self. He pushed everyone away, including Ivy.
Ivy was away at college and came home for a visit, here she found Griffin. Or at least what looked like him, certainly didn’t act like him.
Could they find each other, fix what’s wrong and love?
I have followed the Cerberus crew since book one…..they just keep getting better! A must read
Amazing, Marie truly hit it out of the park with Griffin. What an amazing story, Not only do you get a great romance story but I can only give props to Authors who bring real life issues into their books. This book touches on Military Life, and PTSD. Ivy is such a strong woman standing up for herself and what she believes in.
I have loved every book in this series, and I can honestly say this this one comes in at such a close second to my favourite that it’s almost dead even (but Snatch and Itchy will always be my #1)
Griffin really hit me hard with how broken he was and thinking that he didn’t deserve to be happy after doing the things he’d had to do, and seeing the things he’d had to see in the name of duty. You see, I’ve witnessed that brokenness first hand and it is brutal, but it is also beautiful when you see that glimmer of hope which then turns into a beacon and you know that they have made it out of the darkness into the light (there will always be shadows, but that’s ok), and that’s what this book did.
Add to that a beautiful story of love and strenght and it was an instant from me.
Griffin is the 8th book in the Cerberus MC series written by the amazing author Marie James. I have missed the Cerberus MC sexy bikers and their families. This is Griffin Griggs Bowen & Genevieve “Ivy” Anderson story book. Griffin is Shadows and Misty son and Ivy is one of Kincaid and Emmalyn daughters, this is their story, a great addition to the Cerberus series. Their chemistry is off the charts.
The story line is around Griffin been dishonorably discharged from the Marines and returning home to New Mexico, dealing with PTSD. Ivy has been in love with him for long time and wants to help him. Does he let her help or does he push her away? You will have to buy it and read it, it is worth it!!!! No Spoilers. I enjoyed very much reading Griffin and Ivy’s story. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read the next, Samson. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
What can I say about Marie James latest hit, I haven’t read one of Marie’s work that I didn’t like. We Learn about Griffin’s father Shadow in previous books also the same thing on Ivy’s father Kincaid.
Griffin was serving in the Marine Corp and until something happens.
Ivy has always had a crush on Griffin, when she learns he’s back and that he’s broken so travels back home to try and help him.
I couldn’t put this book down, was a page turner from the beginning, but that’s nothing new from Marie James.
This is a one click read something you won’t regret reading.
Griffin was a great story, the plot was written well, it was filled with many emotions. It’ll take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Marie James did a great job on it.
Ivy and Griffin were strong characters, their relationship had many ups and downs. No matter how many time Griffin tried to pull back, Ivy wasn’t haven’t it. These two were made for each other. They were good for one another. Their chemistry was strong. Griffin and Ivy were great together. I enjoyed their story.
This was a good story. Thank you, Marie James. Great work 🙂
