Tate Flynn… you.
Madison Brady
A woman with many faces.
Doctor, protestor, adversary.
She’s laid a family tragedy firmly at my door, except my conscience is clear.
She professes to despise me, but I’m not convinced.
They say there’s a thin line between hate and love.
And I have an urge to test that theory on my nemesis.
Heads up, Madison. I’m coming for you.
Gridlock is the second book in the Full Velocity Series. Each novel can be read as a standalone.

Wow, I’m absolutely loving this series. Both Tate and Madison are truly likeable characters in their own way. However, when they first meet up you can cut the atmosphere with a knife.
Tate is very misunderstood and hides a secret from the world and his parents.
Madison is a feisty character intent on making Tate pay for something that happened in her personal life.
A terrific storyline which I read in one sitting. Highly recommended.
This is a really cute, fast moving hate-to-love story between Tate, a sweet teddy bear of a book boyfriend, and Madison, a spunky, scarred doctor. Their chemistry is super-hot, and their story kept me turning pages all the way through. Tragedies in each of their pasts make them lovable characters, and it’s fun to see familiar faces from Friction, the first book in the series. Read this series today, and you will not be sorry!
I adored everything about Tate & Madison. The way their relationship unfolded kept me turning the pages until well after midnight. It had just the right amount of angst for me, with a twist of passion and fire on the track and off of it.
“I need to give you a tetanus, too. Drop your trousers.”
I grazed my tongue over my top teeth and looked her up and down. “Now you’re talking.”
She huffed through her nose. “I wasn’t aware they allowed children to drive racing cars.”
Their banter had me laughing out loud and cheering for them the whole way through.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to those looking for a fun escape with a realistic touch. In fact, I recommend the entire series as I’m loving this introduction to the sexy world of Formula 1 racing.
Loved every single second of it. Can’t wait for the next one.
As usual, Tracie Delaney has these books, which are MUST READ. They are SO good that I finish them in a day! I couldn’t put this book down!!!
I loved Tate’s story and I do have to admit I loved it and him more than Jared. He intrigued me in the first book. Everyone has a story to tell and his is no worse than anyone’s its just which path you chose to take in life that determines the outcome and I have to say he close well but it could have been oh so different. His resident stalker Madison sees it all so differently though and she sees him for the worst. She has her own demons that she has to expel and who would have thought that Tate would be the one to help her. Both do battle with the growing attraction they have for each other but at the end of the day the attraction wins, They do have a bit of a rocky patch and a big misunderstanding but love wins through every time…. This is a wonderful addition to what is going to be and explosive series.
I had so much fun reading this very cute story. It had some emotional aspects and was overall a great and well written romance book. I really like this new series and the insight it gives into motorsport, although there was more of it in the first book but I really liked the depth of the characters in this second one.
This wasn’t what I would call a typical enemies-to-lovers story, which I originally thought it would be. There wasn’t such a strong feeling as hate between the characters. Madison was hurt so deeply because of the loss of her brother and projected her feelings on a man who had no hands in her brother’s death. Tate was a fun and altogether great guy. I didn’t expect that he had edges and some shadows in his life, which surprised me but actually gave me a better connection to his character. It made him even more likeable and human, if that makes sense.
So, it didn’t take much time at all for Tate to win Madison over in the sense of her warming up to him and them being very attracted to each other, not only physically. The more Madison got to know about Tate, the more she liked him and the private person he was underneath the façade that he showed the public world. But she had a mission, a mission to shine light on the dangers of the motorsport that youngsters underestimate and that are cause of a lot of accidents and deaths which could easily be prevented or reduced with more disclosure of the needed driving skills and required technical equipment to drive at such speeds in a race car.
Though her growing feelings clashed with what Madison swore to do and brought her in a predicament. Could she forget about her plan or ignore her feelings?
Despite his fame and fortune Tate was a selfless, humble, generous and not at all a self-centered or greedy guy. I even felt with him and his story because although it may have seemed like it, his life wasn’t that easy or carefree. He had a lot of responsibility, not to mention the lonesomeness of his lifestyle.
I couldn’t even say that one book or the other was better because they were so different. I loved the first book and was very curious about this story. I was also a little bit anxious because considering Tate was on the same team as Jared, I didn’t know if the story didn’t end up being too similar. But there was absolutely no need to worry because the author did a fantastic job of creating yet another great story about a driven and successful character whose job and passion was racing in Formula One. But his job was the only similarity to the first book because the characters were standing with both feet firmly in life while dealing with what life threw their way in a more mature way. (Not that the characters in book #1 were childish, but I felt like they were still on the brink of figuring out adult life and enjoying the fun of being young a lot more. It generally had a different feel to it as it felt more lighthearted and centered on their attraction whereas in book #2 the characters had a lot of external circumstances that played a big role in them finding to each other). Sorry for veering off topic a bit there. Anyway, I loved Jared and Tate equally as much in different ways for their great personalities and big hearts.
Btw, although I should have known what was coming because of the blurb, it still caught me off guard on how the story started.
I really hope that we get to see more of these two characters in the next book because Tate became very dear to my heart.
4.5 emotionally charged, adrenaline fuelled stars.
Another fabulous book from Tracie Delaney in her Full Velocity series based in the world of F1 racing.
Enemies to lovers, Gridlock is a story of healing grieving hearts and also a wonderful lesson on how not to judge a book by its cover, or in this case, a world champion F1 driver by his very public, media persona.
Madison is struggling to come to terms with the tragic death of her brother and is determined to get retribution from top racing driver Tate Flynn. He has his own demons and grief to bear, but Madison is about to find out there is a lot more to Tate than meets the eye.
These two characters have been put through the wringer but I loved the way their relationship changes from anger and confrontation to understanding and self acceptance as they learn the truth about each other. It’s definitely not love at first sight, but their chemistry was hot from the start. Gridlock has made me feel and I loved it. I cant wait for the next installment in this enthralling, action packed world.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Every turn of the page makes me want to keep on reading.
The storyline centres around the F1 scent the same as it’s predecessor; Friction. It has two hot love interests, some very sexy scenes and a plot line that feels like I just woke up refreshed from a good nights sleep.
I have to say that although Tate is hot, I’m still a Jared fan at heart. Saying that, Tate’s hotness is an entirely different entity to Jared’s was in Friction. Tate has been around the F1 circuit for a while and knows the inner workings of it. His chemistry with Madison is instant, even if Madison’s headspace isn’t exactly the same.
I love how this author is able to bring her characters together. It’s not cheese like so many others of this genre are. It’s risky but believable and I for one look forward to whatever she writes next.
Highly recommend anyone to this series!
