The werecat flexed his claws, as he waited in the shadows. Griddlebone wished he could rescue them all, but his orders were clear. He could only take one …
I enjoyed this short tale that give us Griddlebone’s back story… the origins of the werecats, and how he meet Esther.
I really enjoy these short tales by Debbie Manber Kupfer. They are an added bonus, giving more background to the lesser characters in the world of P.A.W.S.
Christopher Goodrich did a fine job with the narration.

This is the fifth book I have read/listened to by this author and I look forward to listening to every book in the P.A.W.S. world. I am enjoying these side stories to the main P.A.W.S. Book, even if I don’t recall these characters in the first book. Guess I need to re-listen after listening to all the Tales from P.A.W.S. so I can place these characters. ——-
This is the first book I have listened to by this narrator ( Christopher Goodrich ) and I would listen to another. He did a good job with both the male and female character voices. He reads more than really performs the book due to his enunciation, but it is still a pleasant listen. He does add emotion. ——-
There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence, or swearing. ——-

If you have been following Debbie Manber Kupfer’s The P.A.W.S. Saga this is a must read or listen to because it fills in some blanks. Thought this is a short side story about Griddlebone the werecat, it is important to the whole saga. It tells of how the werecats got their beginning with the Nazi wanting to build a better fighting soldier. Many of the children destined for the concentration camps were singled out by Griddlebone to save as many as possible. This is only 30 minutes on audio book but done well. Christopher Goodrich the narrator was true to the story and kept the flow of the story going as in his previous reads of P.A.W.S. stories.

SURPRISING JUSTICE.
Well, that was quite the action packed short story. First l thought oh no, l can’t listen to this subject. Too upsetting. but lo and behold it was satisfying and just. Narrated perfectly.

Nice little short that gives you a little insight into some of the characters you heard about in the main P.A.W.S. books. This starts with Griddlebone in 1940’s Vienna when the Germans started rounding up the Jewish people and taking them to the concentration camps. Griddlebone is allowed to save one person, and steals her out from under the nose of the Germans.

Interesting short story, quick read. This shapeshifter story is set in Nazi Germany. Through Nazi genetic testing, the werecat was borne, namely Griddlebone … and used against them. Griddlebone turns against the Nazi’s and is sent on a rescue mission. Will this he succeed? Find out in Griddlebone.
