It’s nice to know the truth behind why Gretel ,not the fairy tale we all know but what kind of family she really had to live with, great story! Everyone needs to read this book, well written! Must READ
I enjoyed this book so much that I bought the set just so I could continue to follow the storyline of what happens with the nasty witch and the families’ she works so hard to possess and in turn destroy. The story takes the typical Hansel and Gretel characters and adds many wicked new twists where the children aren’t the only ones whose lives are threatened and you keep reading just to see what happens next to each of these well-developed characters. I am now reading the 2nd book (Marlene’s Revenge) of the series and look forward to each book knowing I will not be disappointed since the 1rst book was so well-written and easy to follow.
Interesting dark twists to an age old fairy tale.
Pretty good, but pacing is VERY slow.
A great twist on the classic children’s tale. Very descriptive and leaves you wanting to know what the future will bring to the characters that survive.
enjoyed it . a new twist on an old fairy tail
Interesting take on the Hansel and Gretel story!
I read it twice, it was so good.
Truly a fabulous read, and I was very happy to realize I already had all five books in the series in my Kindle library. I started book two and can say that the writing is the same, highly descriptive but never boring. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good horror read.
WOW, not usually a horror book fan, but was curious since the author and I share the same last name. So glad I read this thriller! The story is shocking and told with an unusual voice. A constant stream of small but jolting terror tidbits keeps the reader riveted and reading. This one is truly difficult to put down. I’ll definitely be reading the series. You won’t be disappointed. It stays with you even when you aren’t reading it. Makes you crave getting back to reading more of it.
I highly recommend this ‘experience.’
I absolutely loved this book. I read the whole series. Awesome!!!!!
What a great play on Hansel and Gretel! Good good read. Really liked it. Just great.
Love this book!
Boring
It had a decent story, yet I thought it could have been shorter.
The plot was well laid out…but the writing wasn’t anything special. A quick read- great for young adults…
I got this book because it was free but didn’t enjoy it enough to finish it. Just not my genre.
Awesome take on the classic story. Really fun read!
I read Gretel first and liked it so purchased the 2 remaining books
Whoa! I absolutely loved this book! It is well written and horrific! It has been a long time since I have read a good horror book and this is definitely better than just good. It is creepy from beginning to end. The characters are strongly written and I love (and hate) them! I really enjoyed following Gretel as she developed into a stronger person, Anika as she struggled, and finally figuring out just what Odalinde was up to. This twisted tale of Hansel and Gretel is very dark and extremely intriguing with a conspiracy that is horrifying. I recommend this book to anyone who loves twisted tales, horror, or paranormal books of any kind. I am jumping right into reading Marlene’s Revenge, because even though this book comes to a satisfying conclusion I want more!!!!! I would give Christopher Coleman a standing ovation for this one!
