Good idea, not really well written, kind of slow, yet over wrought
Slow read
Really liked the twist on the original Hansel and Gretel story…Am reading the 2nd book of the series now.
Gretel really pulled me into its vaguely modern Grimm/Andersen-type setting. The major characters were well developed in a very efficient way, and the bizarre story was compellingly related. I can’t wait to start the next two books.
Couldn’t put this book down. amazing page turner
slow and childlike
I gave three stars because it is just not my kind of book.
It’s the real HUNGER GAMES and certainly creepier. This is a very “Girl Power” story in a strange land, yet familiar. Most of these characters you’d love to hate but the story cannot go on without the villains! It’s the first in a series. I hope Gretel learns to kick butt.
An enchanting yet haunting approach to an old classic fairy tale. This story has a well created story line with believable characters. While this particular story was acquired free, I am seriously considering buying the sequels to continue to follow the lives of the remaining Morgan family.
A very different type of book. If you like dean loots you will probably enjoy this book
It dragged something awful.
I enjoyed this book and will search for their others in the series. Highly recommend!
GREAT for a Halloween read!
I think this book was well written. I only got through the first few chapters.. it was a bit too dark for my taste.
Good book. Couldn’t put it down. Was a bit twisted and somewhat gory but all in all a good take on the fairy tail Hansel and Gretal.
Very long-winded should not take one to two pages to tell me how somebody entered the room the whole book I just kept wondering when are they going to get on with the story
Well written and scary, if that could actualy happen. It keep me glued to the book, all the way through.
