A well written syfy romance that is action packed with plenty of steam. A very enjoyable read. Enjoy!
Well written, well developed world building and interesting characters abound. Always ready to go onto the next book in the series and this interesting world evolves.
Reading this series via Kindle Unlimited, but consider it well worth your time and $$
Greta and Mikaroz deliver a steamy tale of love that transcends life on different planets while dealing with dangers of injury, persecution and death. These two kept me glued to the page and inspired by the depth of their trust in each other and their willingness to fight for what they wanted.
I genuinely loved these two! So far they have been my favorite of the series.
A fantastic story with an exciting flow of events. At first I was confused by the sequence of when Greta killed the slimy rapey slave owner, but that quickly dissipated and the story came to life spectacularly! I loved the sweet way that Mikaroz woos Greta and the build up is natural, in a how I imagine a guard falls in love with an inmate kind of way, but it was cute! Greta is pretty badass from the get go and her character will continue to surprise you throughout the book as well. I loved all the action, both the fighting and the loving kind, it was all equally descriptive. This was the first book that I have ever read by this author and I am just in love with everything about it. I’m going back to start with book 1 in this series now. The story stands alone as it is, I just have to read all the words and meet all the characters in this world now!
*WARNING* for mature reader due to adult situations
Mikaroz is a gargoyle and a guard on the space station. Mikaroz knows the odd little human prisoner is off limits. Mikaroz has to fight his attraction, but he can try to make sure she eats.
Greta may be sitting a prison cell in space, but she feels no remorse for killing the slimy alien that was trying to rape her. Greta is so hungry, but the nice, gray, winged guard doesn’t understand that the food he brings makes her sick. Greta can’t understand the odd attraction she has toward the gentle giant. Is it hunger? Is it because she’s been in captivity for to long.
I luved this story! There is a book mentioned that comes before this one where Mikaroz is first introduced, but I didn’t read it and I don’t feel as though I missed anything. Gargoyles are great is stories, and this one has an almost child like quality to him when first around Greta. I think Ms. Phillips has done a great job in making a gargoyle threatening, but not scary….loving, but not a push over. I highly recommend this book for any adult who likes goyles and HEAs.
3 stars – I liked it
This was a fast paced, instant love alien romance. I really liked Greta. She was smart, capable, and never gave up. Mikaroz was a protective alpha male but also very sweet. I really enjoyed learning about the gargoyles in this universe and their planet. Overall, this was a great short story and works great if you are looking for a quick alien romance.
