Holy hotness this book was a continuation of the sexiness that is Ben, Isaac, and Blair but on a much bigger & hotter scale!!
Blair is forced into a role she never wanted after the death of her brother.
Ben as her protector but the keeper of secrets may be one of the people she trusts the most but at what cost.
The secrets in this book continue as everyone has their own agenda.
You are kept guessing with every twist & turn.
I cannot wait for the conclusion to this fabulous series!!

This book was smoking hot! Book 2 of the trilogy from Ben’s POV. Very intense and very sexy. I loved every moment.
This second book in The Tarnished Crown Trilogy is told from Ben’s perspective. A great storyline that will keep you guessing, while giving you heartfelt emotions and some very hot sexiness!
Book 2 of the Tarnished Crown Trilogy is told from Ben’s POV. Thank you!!! I so enjoy when we get some insight from a male’s POV either throughout a book or at least a few chapters. Personally I think it enhances the story.
In Grenade we see these three complex characters connect on a whole new level! We get some intense and steam filled MMF scenes. We see a tender and loving Ben with Blair as she thrust into a situation she never expected.
The story blends the political aspects of this world with the complexity of a figuring out a new relationship between 3 people. We start to see that Ben’s past is a lot more complicated then we thought. I am completely hooked on this series.
Blair, Ben and Isaac in a world where a ménage shouldn’t be accepted, however no one seems to think twice. Chandelier and Grenade just move seamlessly and the heat level is HOT HOT HOT. Ben has some hard decisions to make in Grenade and while not everyone will understand in the beginning…..the truth will always come to light. Ben, Isaac and Blair’s relationship moves forward and other secrets are revealed. Don’t read this expecting it to be your typical ménage because this story has more twists and turns than a NASCAR race!
I can’t wait for Emeralds, the final book in the Tarnished Crown Trilogy!!!!
Grenade is the perfect title for the second book. It is action packed! Told from Bn’s POV. We’re finding out some answers but more questions are forming as you read. You’re sucked right in to all the politics, drama, lies, etc. The ménage is amped up so much. There is a huge cliffhanger at the end but if you’re like me, I am loving this series and I cannot wait to see how it all comes together in the end
This book is the se on one in The Tarnished Crown Trilogy. This book is intimate and full of feelings. Ben, Blair and Isaac ate entangled and we also learn about other players, like Elise and Goldsmith. The book is very intense and interesting. I stopped reading and listened to another book because of the intensity and also because I didn’t want it to end. I loved it! Now I’m off to read Emeralds.
Book 2, so much going on, and the MFM relationship is seriously HOT! So amazing, I have to know what happens next!
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The second book in The Tarnished Crowns trilogy is written from Ben’s point of view.
Filled with suspense, romance and a LOT of steam, Blair, Ben and Isaac try to figure out who to trust and who is out to destroy them.
This series is phenomenal! I can’t wait to read the last book!
This is book 2 in the series and book 1 needs to be read first.
Ben Smith has a lot to deal with in this book and he is feeling the pressure from all sides and he is torn in how to keep the princess and his lover, Blair Stewart, safe from those who killed her brother Lennox.
Ben is treading in thin water as his sister, Majken is pressuring him for information on what Blair’s political plans are and threatening the safety of both Blair and their father.
Also entering the picture is Isaac Everleigh who has been a lover to Ben in the past but is also attracted to Blair and the three soon start a physical relationship with all three risking their hearts. Yet who can they fully trust as Isaac is tied to the British Prime Minister, William Goldsmith.
This book is so good and I didn’t want it to end!!! There is so much in this book and some left me with my jaw hanging down to the ground and it is apparent at how much Ben has been through and how he would truly risk everything to keep Blair safe from what is following him around.
I really like Ben and I know he is treading a fine line as his sister is holding something over his head and he really doesn’t want to help her but at the same time he is somewhat forced to as he is trying to keep Blair safe from whomever Majken is involved with.
The stuff Ben went through living with his Aunt Hedde was awful yet I found their visit intriguing and the clues left from the cards gave us an insight of what was going to happen.
I truly loved the relationship between Ben and Blair and how much they loved each other yet were afraid to label it to their social differences and roles in society. They both found peace with each other and a bond that was sizzling!!
When we throw Isaac in the mix between Blair and Ben things just go through the roof in hotness and OMG moments! These three are intense and just awesome together. I love their differences and how they are all dedicated to each other and would do anything for each other. Love them!!
Then there are all the betrayals in this book and other moments that keep you wondering what is going on. I don’t trust Elise at all and I wasn’t really surprised with who she began to spend time with as she seems to be using whoever she can to get her name out in the public.
Yet things take an interesting turn at one point when you learn that everything that you thought was trying to happen isn’t what was really planned at all. Left me so surprised and shocked as you realize how many people have just been pawns in a much bigger game.
The very end left me with my jaw hanging down as I knew things were going to happen and I also knew from the cards what Ben was planning on doing. Yet I am also given hope by the cards that the stuff he has done to protect Blair will all be worth it in the end and that everything will work out how I want it to!!
A mindblowing and sensational tale of power, sex and love, Grenade by Annie Dyer left me mesemerized and destroyed. The writing in this story is simply exquisite and extraordinary. The words wrapped my heart in pain, ecstasy and heartbreak.
Scotland’s prince and Blaire’s brother Lennox is assassinated. And everything is in chaos. She has a lot of responsibilities those she is not ready to take. Her country and her life is teetering on edge of oblivion. And two persons are keeping him grounded. Her childhood friend and bodyguard Ben. England’s Prime Minister’s advisor Isaac. But they are fighting against too many secrets and conspiracies. And one of them has to make an ultimate sacrifice.
The plot is extremely complicated. You can miss small points if you are not paying attention. The first story Chandelier was told mostly from Blaire’s POV. And this is told from Ben’s POV. I was lost in deepest and darkest crevices of this complex and broken man’s mind. He has seen too much darkness and his heart is dead except Blaire’s love. He has a dangerous edge and my heart was beating wildly while reading all the things he has done and all the secrets he hides. My heart broke into a million pieces for him. The chemistry once again set my device on fire. The interplay of emotions among three hearts kept me glued to the pages. And that ending!! I have cursed so loudly but I could not help it. Probably worst cliffhanger ever!
Grenade by Annie Dyer was a stunning and sensual creation. Explosive emotions. Nail biting storyline. Intriguing characters. And sensational writing.
Received ARC for honest review
“There is nothing I can do but wait, but for what I don’t know.
And I don’t know when it will happen.
I wait.
And wait.
And wait.”
Grenade is a deeper foray into Ben’s life and family, and Isaacs life and family. At the same time we’re no closer to who is calling the shots here, it’s difficult to determine if Blair can trust Ben, Isaac, or no one at all.
Annie has created an amazingly, beautifully descriptive world, moving back and forth between Scotland and England, between the three – Ben, Isaac, and Blair. The darkness can still be seen to be hovering over the horizon, and over the tarnished crown all 3 want to wear.
One of the hottest, most fascinating books I’ve found so far in 2020, the sexual energy, and what I believe is true love, between Blair, Ben and Isaac is off the charts!! The kindness between the three is beautiful. A gorgeous novel of palace intrigue, the political lives of three very strong individuals, and the torture each man feels in trying to keep their families from destroying their lives and the difficult task of keeping Blair physically safe has drawn me back 3 times!
Every time I’ve read this book I’ve found new and intriguing pieces to fall in love with! Start with Chandelier, and I believe you’ll find love, and maybe lust (SO DAMN HOT!!), in these 5 star gems!!
This twisty story continues with more depth in the plot, reluctant alliances, steamy, fog-up-the-mirror scenes.
In Grenade, Ben’s mysterious back story took the spotlight however Blair and Isaac were never in the background. Three important characters, chess pieces moved by Annie Dyer in this intricate saga. I love how no one is left behind as each explores his/her feelings.
On to Isaac’s story next.
Oh, how I love Ben! Oh, how I want to strangle Ben! I loved the second part to this fantastic new trilogy. It is so different than anything that I have read and I am having a fantastic time reading it.
This is book 2 in the tarnished Crown series told from Ben’s POV. Normally, the second book in a series answers questions from the first book and sets you up for a bombastic conclusion in the third book. Well, it does set up for a bombastic finish but it doesn’t actually answer the questions generated in the first book, instead it created so many more questions…well it did answer a few. Don‘t get me wrong though, it’s really good and provoked more intrigue, heat amped up to scorching temperatures, introduced us to new players, and makes you realize that no matter what your station in life is, when it comes down to it we are all just people with emotions that can be manipulated, especially when you love. I said in my first review that it’s so sad that being in the public eye you have no private life, no matter if you’re the candidate, person in power, a royal or just a family member. You are always on display. Sometimes even when following the rules people decide to change them for you without your permission. This story grasps this concept in a very real way. I feel there is more real life in this book than I care to image.
This is a series where I don’t know who to feel more sorry for. Watching this trio of messed up people will pull at your heartstrings while making you quietly cheer for them watching their evolution. You will still have so many questions. I can not wait to see what book 3 has in store for us. I know its going to be bombastic!
Grenade is book 2 in the Tarnished Crowns Trilogy. It’s told primarily from Ben’s POV.
Annie has absolutely done it again.
Book 2 has so much more of everything that was in book 1 – more power plays, more political games, more of Ben’s back story, his past with Blair and Issac, more steamy scenes, and more of the MFM relationship that’s slowly been developing.
I absolutely am in love with this series and cannot wait for book 3.
A terrific successor to Chandelier! The political intrigue has me on the edge of my seat – I can’t figure out Ben’s secret! Incredibly hot bedroom scenes.
I love that each story is told in a different voice. Isaac is most fascinating – can not wait! Anything Annie Dyer writes I will devour – this is an atypical genre for me and I LOVE it! Counting the days for #3 🙂
Book 2 in the Tarnished Crowns series brings us Ben’s point of view. As the pace picks up a bit we get added insight into Ben’s intentions and his family ties. His motives come under scrutiny and as more characters are introduced, more questions arise. This addition also brings Blair, Ben and Isaac closer and more involved in each other’s lives. The lies, secrets and intrigue build and chess pieces are moved. The next book should bring us the answers we are all begging for and reveal who will reign.
Grenade is the second book in The Tarnished Crowns series and I am so absolutely in love with these characters! The plot thickens even more in this story and the scenes that include Blair, Ben and Isaac are so steamy; but even more so because their feelings for each other are so real. A little bit of a cliffy at the end of this book, but it just makes me want the next book even more.
So want to give you more but don’t want to spoil the story for you!
Ugghhhh this series just gets better, and hooks you in even more. Sure you get some answers from book 1 but you end up with more/new questions which makes it that much better, and even more keen to read book 3
In this book we get more into the game playing, trying to figure out who’s motives are good and who’s are bad, which you’re probably going to be wrong in some way about, but i love that a little bit
I love ben, dont get me wrong i love Isaac too, but Ben. I love that we get to see more of the relationship and see it be explored even more, and that we got to see it from Ben’s point of view and his thoughts on things
This series would have to be one of my favourite M/M/F series a) cause you have no idea whats going to happen even if you think you do, and just b) the relationship between the three, you can feel the chemistry and feel that its real, and just they way the relationship is explored
I can not wait for book 3
