This was the world’s best book series.
My son and I read this book. It is, in a word, AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about this story. We both absolutely loved it! One of my favorite things about this book is that Gregor is a boy of color who comes from an impoverished family. The story itself is riveting. I highly recommend this book!
I’m not usually a fantasy fan besides Harry Potter, so I was very surprised that I loved this book. I could not stop reading it, and I thought the characters were relatable and unique. I loved Grover and his little sister’s relationship, and how they all come together to save his father and the underworld.
Oh Suzanne. You have proved to me with this book that anyone can be a writer if they put in the commitment. This book was pretty horrible.
Okay – yes it is a YA book. But it was pushing even that. I like the idea of the book – this young boy from New York falls into the “Underland” through a shoot in his laundry room and ends up in this play …
Very well written
This series of Gregor, the Overlander is FAR, far better than the Hunger Games. It gets no respect, but it is such an awesome read!!!!!
By far my favorite book
I read this series in Middle School and absolutely loved it. Again, Collins has given us a realm that is truly amazing. The books sucked me in and I read them so fast. I am continously impressed by her work.
One of my favorite books ever! This book always piqued my interest. When I read this in grade school, my mom knew when I was reading this series because I was in a different world. I had never read a fantasy book before or since reading this one that has been this good.
Fantastic book for teens and highly intelligent younger kids!
WWII written for upper elementary age children. This is the first of five books and probably my favorite. The characters and setting are well developed and the story engaging. I think this series is better than Hunger Games, which Suzanne also wrote.
