Showtime (Game Hunter #2) by Mark Kloss was as the title said. It’s Showtime!
Picking up where Gamer Hunter left off, we are tossed back into the story with our unlikely hero’s preparing for the, on-air TV death match. Like the first book the pace was fast and the tone had a urgency to it, to keep us in that dangerous, anything could happen, frame of mind. Even when they were tossing in some jokes and trying to be normal, the tone never fully changed.
I will say that I was a little let down with the lack of progress between our MC’s. True in the first book I wasn’t fully on board with them, but I was expecting something more, dramatic to happen. They reminded me of those anime couples that start dating, But. Go.No.Where. I get that they’re fighting for there lives, and for zombie rights, but being in that life or death situation, you think they would, I don’t know, move past some of the more childish games, and just….steal a moment to two for themselves. Frustrating, is what it was.
Other then that, I was hook, just as hard on this book as the first. There was some, hiccups here and there, making it feel like this book was a little rushed, but for me didn’t take away from the engaging and over all focused plot. In all I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. This story is just getting better and better with each new instalment. More truths are being over covered, and more twits are punching me in the feels. Take my high recommendation that you will get lost in this post-apocalyptic zombie world, that has you rooting for the victory of the undead.
Happy Reading

Showtime, Game Hunter Book 2 was a continuation of Game Hunter.Mark Kloss face pace writing style keeps you in gross with the game and you want to keep reading until the end. This story reminds me of The Running Man by Richard Bachman. The story continues with Tremayne and Red fighting to stay alive. They are playing against the Game Hunters too stay alive. They also play against other half-zombies. Will Tremayne and Red be able to stay alive through the next three games?
