Grayson’s Vow is a story filled with all the right feels and heart-gripping moments. Kira and Grayson stole my heart, they were incredible together. Their love and connection was soul-deep, and I was thrilled to read how they complemented each other perfectly. Their love is beautifully pure and seeing them developing it had me swooning!!!!! I so enjoyed seeing them overcoming all the obstacles. These two truly had a beautiful love story. Some parts got me really emotional. I can’t tell you in words how much I enjoyed their journey.
10 stars, loved it that much!
I am new to the world of Mia Sheridan’s books and without a doubt she will become a favorite writer of mine! Her writing style is beautiful.
Grayson’s Vow is an unconventional but passionate love story in a very unlikely circumstance. I was hooked within the first chapter!
The story begins on Kira who is currently homeless and out options, except one. She can get married to get her grandmothers money. She refuses to accept help from her father and is very determined to make it on her own. This is when fate as she believes brings her to cross paths with Grayson Hawthorn, a handsome ex-con who she remembers his name because her father had influenced how severe his sentence in jail would be. He is trying to get a loan to save his family’s vineyard and is denied because of his record. So she sees opportunity to help him and help her and make up for what her father had done without him knowing.
So when she walks into his home with the wild idea to get married for the money he thinks shes lost it of course! I love the names they have come up with for each other. She calls him the Dragon and he calls her Little Witch. He thinks she is a spoiled rich princess who has fallen from her high horse. He doesn’t want to take up her offer but because he wants to save his family vineyard he does. You can feel the tension and anticipation of them wanting to know more but they arint ready to get there yet. The more time they spend together the more they start to feel for each other. Their personality’s do not mix well. They are both stubborn and headstrong and it causes lots of quarrels, some that are hilarious to witness!
Grayson has a very tragic past. He is bitter and untrusting and has built this wall around himself to protect him from getting hurt again. But Kira’s fiery attitude slowly but surely melts the walls he has so carefully built. He finds himself wanting Kira more as time goes on. As he continues to see who she really is and not who he assumed she was he desires her even more!
I love the other characters in the book. Charlotte and her concoctions are a hoot! And Walter was a darling.
Grayson’s Vow is a gorgeous and emotional story about love, strength and perseverance. How love is not always beautiful but it can hurt too. This is an amazing read and I highly recommend it. I cannot wait to dive into more of Mia’s stories!
I listened to almost 13.5 HOURS of this book. It was entirely too long. I would have rather it focused more on Kira’s corrupt father , ex-fiance, and the dirt they were trying to to to Grayson, then spend as much time as it did on Grayson being a jerk.
And Grayson was a JERK with capital letters. A severe case of reacting before letting anyone explain, or thoroughly giving thought to a situation. I understand Grayson had a rough childhood, but Kira’s wasn’t much better. Grayson did get screwed by the system, but damn, Dude was lashing out at people with the intensity of a light saber, cutting them to the quick.
When I finally thought we had reached the HEA, there was more drama. More Grayson being abhorrent, and out of control. I saw the hints of vulnerability and kindness in him, but they did not excuse or outweigh the ugliness. Kira was either too young, or too nice for her own good. There was a lot of internal dialogue. So much that there were times I didn’t realize they had started communicating with another person.
Both Kira and Grayson underestimated the length her father would go to in order to mete out his destruction of their lives.
There were hints of a connection and chemistry between the two, but they were so inconsistent, it made me tired. I was exhausted by the time I finished this book, but I had to see it through to the end. I am not sure if I missed it, but I don’t know if the final fate of her father and Cooper was ever mentioned.
The narrators were very good. I could easily pick up on the emotions the different characters were feeling. That could be why I was so tired at the end. They took me on a rollercoaster ride full of emotions.
Grayson vows is a very different story from what I’ve read. It is a story of faith and hope of finally being able to feel happiness.
Grayson is trying to survive, working hard to keep his vineyard flowing but life has been very hard on him robbing him of many opportunities to recover what belonged to him and his father.
His past keeps hunting him not only making him doubt of every single person that crosses his path until her.. the only one who can bring him warmly to his life but coldness at the same time.
Kira is running from her life, her father only wants to control her making her feel like she doesn’t have any say or worth in her life. Kira an extraordinary heroine that love made her shine..
Two lost soles in need of love finding their way together to finally build the life they ever dreamt of.
Good story I really like it.
Another 5 star read from Mia!!!
Choices……decisions…..desperation…….a combination that will combine to form an unexpected outcome.
Uncertainty clouds Grayson’s future. A denial for a bank loan has left him out of options. A felony conviction hangs over Grayson’s head….cutting off opportunities that he might otherwise have at his disposal. This loan would have secured the future of his family vineyard. Without it – the prospect of losing his entire legacy looms over Grayson.
What Grayson could not have predicted was an altered path in his otherwise defining future. After overhearing the denial that Grayson received, Kira comes up with a plan. With both of their futures on the line, Kira shares her idea with Grayson. Decisions must be made. With reluctance, Grayson accepts Kira’s proposal because without it, his future would be lost.
Grayson and Kira are both dealing with demons from their past. Both know the sting of abandonment. Grayson was raised without the love of his father. While Kira knows the overbearing hand that belongs to hers. Somewhere along the way, Grayson filled his heart with resentment and pain. All of their emotions are pulled to the surface when they carry out their arrangement. The pain, anger, and hurt combine into a whirlwind that is unleashed upon each other. Both stand to lose everything. Will they find a way to overcome their obstacles?
Wow…..I had such a hard time putting my thoughts into words for this book. Grayson’s Vow is unlike anything that Mia has previously published. True to form, readers will find a damaged character (in this case there are two) that pulls you into each line upon the page. Mia always finds a way to capture the desperation in a human soul. That lost individual is captured so eloquently …..showcasing their hurt, damage, and desire for a better future.
Kira and Grayson are the epitome of FIRE and ICE. Referred to as the Witch and the Dragon, Kira and Grayson fight their pasts, a deep longing to have a normal life, and the desire they soon discover with this ‘arrangement’. Grayson’s cockiness will have you in quite the LOVE/HATE relationship where his character is concerned. Kira….well, watching this sassy and outspoken gal tackle the Dragon is so perfect.
Grayson’s Vow is certainly a ‘winner’ in my book. Trust me – you can never go wrong reading ANY book that Mia sets to pen. Get ready to feel the emotions, have the characters consume you, and think about the story long after you closed the book on the last chapter.

Hail the Fire-Breathing Dragon and the Sweet Little Witch!!
I CANNOT BELIEVE that GRAYSON’S VOW by Mia Sheridan was collecting dust on my TBR list for so long! This Sign of Love romantic standalone, featuring two virtual strangers who enter into a mutually beneficial MOC to save the hero’s failing family vineyard, sucked me in from page one, casting a hypnotic spell over my HOPELESSLY ENCHANTED HEART. And I am still in a starry-eyed stupor! Gah! The sizzling sparks! The fiery, witty banter! The passion. The pathos. The angst! The sweet, irresistible charm!
I fell so hard, so irrevocably in love with gruff, surly ex-con Grayson Hawthorn and philanthropist Kira Dallaire, his beautiful, kind-hearted “fake bride,” that I could BARELY BREATHE through some scenes! I just connected instantly with both these complex, exquisitely crafted characters. The high voltage chemistry and romantic push pull between Grayson and Kira was TOTALLY OFF THE CHARTS and they smoldered in each and every exchange. I laughed at their adorable bickering and childish antics. Sobbed at their woefully dysfunctional, painful upbringings. And just ACHED WITH EVERY BEAT OF MY HEART for these two lost, broken souls to fuse their fragmented pieces together and make each other whole!
This is definitely a slow burning romance to the point at times I was admittedly a bit antsy for this crazy enamored couple to get together already, but that’s the beauty of Mia Sheridan’s entrancing storytelling. She BEWITCHES and BEGUILES and makes you live and breathe vicariously through her characters with every fiber of your being. The end result is a magical romantic concoction brimming with epic feels, rich emotional layers, deep profound meaning, and so much heart and soul—truly a CAPTIVATING and RAPTUROUS romance that resonates on every level.
Our belovedly grumpy Dragon and beautiful Witch were bolstered by a fabulous cast of secondary characters—most especially Grayson’s marvelously meddlesome housekeeper Charlotte! Her sage advice, unwavering love and support and hysterically botched matchmaking attempts warmed my heart and tickled my funny bone! And I MUST also give a shout-out to Sugie Sug…that sweet, mangled-face pooch wormed her way into my soul too. I ADORED how Grayson’s doting new pet played an integral role in melting the icy armor around his frigid heart!
BOTTOM LINE:
I CANNOT RAVE ENOUGH about GRAYSON’S VOW—and yes, I’m still wiping away the tears at that WONDROUS ending. Mia Sheridan truly DAZZLES from start to finish and this majestic romantic fairytale is not only officially going on my ALL-TIME FAVE list, but it once again reinforces why so many fans across the globe fall under this remarkable novelist’s enchanting spell time and again!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Loved this
People who know me know I love Mia Sheridan’s writing. She is one of my all time favorite authors. Grayson’s Vow was a great book! Kira is such an amazing character, I fell in love with her from the start. Both Grayson and Kira had been through a lot. But while Grayson came out bitter, Kira came out wanted to help people. They were a great match, they really balanced each other out. I just LOVED how she called him Dragon and he called her Witch. I loved when they were having arguments, those were really passionate. I also loved Walter and Charlotte, they had been in Grayson’s life from the start and they loved him so much. Grayson was such an angry person feeling betrayed by the people close to him. Kira brought sunshine into his life, gave him reasons to smile and laugh again. I love epilogues and I just loved that we got a look at their lives in the future.
