I was the ultimate bachelor. I enjoyed my wild life, the late nights, and the fact that I had no commitments. My job and my freedom were all I needed.
Or so I thought.
Chloe was sweet and kind, and the way she got so flustered in my presence was adorable. That smile of hers did things to a man. And her laugh? It was infectious.
She had this gravitating pull that was irresistible.
She was … irresistible.
She was younger, sweeter, and too innocent for a guy like me. But none of that mattered because she also possessed the power to make any man want things he’d never really given himself a chance to even think about.
But there was one thing that held me back. One thing that made me question the feelings I held for her.
She was my best friend’s cousin.
To make matters worse, she had an army of men around her that were ready to defend her if needed. And let me tell you, being on the opposite end of that line was enough to make any sane man pause.
But the more time I spent time with her, the faster all the reasons I should hold back disappeared.

Gravitate was a story of misunderstandings, misconceptions and fighting for the one you love. Landon and Chloe’s story is one that will take you to the top of the mountain and have you teetering on the edge of every emotion. Their story is witty, romantic, passionate and is packed full of drama and chaos. Not only does their story wrap its way around your heart but the characters of Brooklet will have you ready to head out and find your own country boy.
This is one of my favorite books from CA Harms. Honestly, the whole Southern Boys and Brooklet Dreams series are amazing.
I’ve read about Landon and Chloe multiple times. They are a favorite book couple of mine. Landon is a true southern man. He is sweet, caring, protective and a little bit alpha.
Chloe is tough but kind. She can be both a girly girl and a tomboy.
I love their story and can’t wait for Grace’s
Liquid courage has Chloe acting on impulse and making a slightly drunken pass at her crush, Landon who politely turns her down. It isn’t that Landon is not interested, he definitely is but he doesn’t want to declare his intention while she is drunk. He wants them to start off on the right foot and goes about making a plan, the problem is Chloe is confused if he wants more then friendship. Throw in a stalkerish woman he had a few dates with does her best to try to bust them up, will it work?
This was good, Landon does make a mistake with Chloe and I never quite understood why. Had a bit of angst but overall interesting characters and a entertaining love story.
Favorite Quotes:
They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, but a woman who was suffering from rejection and humiliation, well, that was a dangerous combination. We could be vindictive, and yes, even overdramatic, but how was I supposed to look at him and not remember…
Needing her full attention, I committed the sin of all sins in a woman’s kitchen, and I grabbed the spoon and bowl from her hands. When her mouth fell open and she narrowed her eyes at me, I knew I better speak fast or run.
Margie was the town gossip; anything she’d heard, she added to it and told it to anyone who would stop long enough to listen. The object of the game was to be polite but never offer any bits of information that were not necessary.
There was no denying it. Even Grace herself understood how wound up she was… Each of us all gave her advice on how to scratch the itch. I had a feeling if this all kept up, whomever the man was that finally got past her guards, she’d end up killing them by sexual exhaustion.
My Review:
C.A. Harms has a devoted fangirl for life, as I adore her clever brand of snark, wit, and sizzling style. The storylines were original with emotive tones that were equal parts sweet, angsty, amusing, and steamy. This was an engaging and well-balanced tale that frequently had me smirking and/or turning up the fan and seeking out liquids for re-hydration. Although he was somewhat clueless, this installment to the series featured a sexy fireman/construction worker packed with muscles. Swoon, sign me up to volunteer for their next fundraiser. No wonder his loony-tunes stalker couldn’t stay away.
Ahh, angsty love…
I am loving this spin off series that sees the next generation get their chance at love while seeing glimpses of much loved characters flex their familial, protective muscle. Landon and Chloe were given a second chance in this story. Well, let’s say a second chance at a first…
Even though they were both attracted to each other, a misunderstanding had them doomed before they even had a chance to act on it. That event meant any feelings they might have grown for each other were squashed and animosity took its place. If I didn’t “get” how it occurred, I can’t argue with the results which were an angsty, emotion-filled courtship just a few years late…
The author’s writing style never ceases to deliver and it shone in the telling of a humor-tinged but always heart on your sleeve read. The characters, their relationships, once again came together in a series instalment I hope won’t be the last…
*I happily reviewed this story
Another great book in this series. I have loved each and every book that I have read from C.A. She doesn’t write a book that you wont enjoy. This one is about Landon and Chloe. Chloe is out with one of her friends one night and is drinking. Landon comes in and saves her. But Chloe thinks that he calls her a kid. Things between them are tense from then on. Landon doesn’t think of her that way and is bent on showing her that he wants her as more than a friend. Will things work out between these two? Will Chloe forgive him? Or will someone evil come between them? I absolutely loved this one. Chloe and Landon are one amazing couple. There is amazing chemistry as friends and lovers. I absolutely enjoyed reading about how these two get together and what he does to prove that she is what he wants. C.A wrote another amazing book that had me hooked from beginning to end. Highly recommend this one.
What a beautiful story of love, passion, and trust. Chloe and Landon make you smile, laugh, and fan yourself. Their chemistry is white-hot!!
Chloe is sweet and sassy. Landon is genuine and sexy. Together they are the perfect blend. I absolutely fell in love with these two!
Landon’s determination is so swoon-worthy. He will have you fanning yourself, ladies. This is an absolute must-read story of what love is all about! I was hooked from the start and you will be too!
Gravitate is book 3 in the Brooklet Dreams series by C.A. Harms. This is Landon and Chloe’s story. This is a friends to lovers romance.
Chloe has been in love with Landon for awhile but she thought that he only saw her as just ” a kid”. In reality, Landon has feelings for Chloe but due to a misunderstanding, he had trouble getting her to give them a chance… at first.
After resolving their misunderstanding, Landon and Chloe really got their relationship going and the sparks, steam and chemistry between them was off the charts but soon is disrupted by a woman who is determined to claim Landon and ruin Chloe in the process. Will their relationship stand up to the difficulties she brings or fold under the pressure?
What a beautiful story with family, drama, twists & turns, passion, friendship, feels, firemen, and romance. Enjoyed seeing the previous couples from past 2 stories show up in book 3. I loved so many things about this story and of that would be -Landon and Chloe are my favorite couple of the series (as of right now). I can’t wait for book 4.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *********
Gravitate is book 3 in the Brooklet Dreams series. Chloe knows that Landon will never see her as anything more than a kid. All it took was one look and Landon knew he was is trouble his attraction to Chloe was something he could not ignore he just had to convince her that she was the one. This is a book with a few twists and turns and sometimes you think that they won’t het their HEA another beautiful book by CA Harms.
This was another solid offering from this author! Landon is a firefighter and a player who has no intention of settling down. Chloe is his best friend’s cousin who has had a crush on Landon forever. She threw herself at him one night and he rejected her. They were thrown together at a family wedding and sparks flew from there. Throw in some drama from outside sources and feelings of inadequacy from both of them and their story is one worth reading. It’s also always good to hear from other family members and friends, but you can read this without being lost. What a great book!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
