An Edgar Award finalist from the #1 New York Times–bestselling author of Jurassic Park: A diver enters dangerous waters to recover a sunken yacht. The Grave Descend lies under more than sixty feet of clear blue Caribbean water, guarded by a coral reef and schools of hungry hammerhead sharks. Raising it would be a near-impossible task, but James McGregor is suited to the impossible. An expert … suited to the impossible. An expert diver, he makes his living exploring sunken ships. But there’s something strange about the wreck of the Grave Descend.
How did she sink? Why do none of the survivors tell the same story? And what was the cargo inside her hull? To answer these questions, McGregor will have to contend with the deadliest sharks around—both underwater and on land.

This is a good book, not great, but good. Characters are excellent. The action moves along, it’s just a damn good story and I do recommend, Grave Descend. Is it great? No. But a book doesn’t have to be a blockbuster to be worth reading. As one of the editors I used to work with told me while debating a story idea, “Sometimes, it’s just a good …
The book is OK. Not as good as his later books.
A great early book of Robin Cook.
This book is very dated but still an interesting read. Loved the forward about Michael Crichton’s early years.
Not realistic
You can get a sense of Crichton developing his writing styles for his later action packed novels
This was a short story. Not very interesting and not worth your time.
A chance to read his rare book that wasn’t an immediate movie
Crichton was and always will be the author for a great read. It’s a shame that the great ones like him cannot live forever.
Really great book with interesting characters and a good plot.
Not the later detailed Michael Crichton, but enjoyable and easy read. Entertaining if not completely enlightening.
Good read by Mr. Crichton. It grips with wonder at the beginning, keeps you glued with the action in the middle and you have to find out how it ends! I would love if McGregor was a series!
Wonderful plot twists, likeable imperfect characters.
Excellent writer!
Not his best, but then it was way back then.
Fair
Excellent read. Didn’t want to put it down.
This was a book that kept my attention all the way through. I liked it.
The author writes great suspenseful stories
It’s very dated to the early 70’s. The monetary comments are especially distracting. Good book, moves along well enough; however, no where near the quality of his other books. I’d give it a solid B.
