Go into Hell, the hot demons said. It’ll be no big deal, they said. I was only supposed to walk through a Hellish Ring or two so we could find out my demonic origin. Easy peasy, Right? Wrong. Now I’m alone, locked up in some freak’s dungeon, and mourning the loss of my demons.Could they have done the impossible and survived the attack? Can they find me here? I don’t even know where here is. … even know where here is. And…why the hell do I have wings?
I don’t have time for this shit. I need to figure out what I am, where I am, and how to get out of here. Because I have a Hellgate to guard and my demons to search for, and nobody is going to stand in my way. Not even the Devil himself.

This was a great continuation of the series!
The story and characters were just as strong as the last book. And the bow chica bow wow… even steamier than the last.
You definitely want to read the first book before starting this one, but I totally recommend this.
I loved book 1, but this book was even better, I finished it in one sitting – who needs sleep?! I couldn’t put it down, the Gate Guardians were deliciously Alpha, and Delta evolved into a stronger heroine, its as action packed as book 1, with some fantastic plot twists, and wonderful narration by Emma Lysy. I can;t wait to start the next book, this series is addictive, 5 stars across the board.
Well written, interesting and humorous story.
This book has 28 chapters and an epilogue. Almost 12 hours to listen to. And while this second book in series is hilariously funny and wonderful as a whole, the first three chapters are seriously annoying. Too much whining? But still an essential part of the story, so suffer through them. The reward is the other 25 chapters and epilogue. So worth it! To start with the heroine is one of the best and most likable heroines out there, including the epic dialogues, attitude, sass and even the whining. She comes off as a real person, honest, vulnerable and epically erratic. A combo I love. Add to that the story is entertaining as hell: funny, scorching hot, full of surprises, epic dialogues, wonderful characters, well written and interesting storyline, perfect worldbuilding, plots that are so well written you forget they are plots, did I say engrossing storytelling that has you laughing out loud as you wonder if you really heard that right? Oh, and add to that full of details you really shouldn’t miss, with a Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy story it is necessary to keep your attention on the task, if not you will miss out on something. These authors really are telling you a story, not just decorating pages with words.
I am writing this review as it is my job, even listening to the story again. Found out I had totally forgotten about the rocky start when the story was finished. Was reminded and had to investigate. Love the narrator. Period. Am torn about how to rate the story, Don´t want to dismiss the first 3 chapters, should give the story 4 stars. But! Am listening to the story again, it just is so well written and all the things I wrote above … that deserves 5 stars… And I am now in chapter six and have already moved on from the start. That is five star material. Or more? Hu.
Am now looking forward to the next book in the series. Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy are authors I have learned to trust to have something to say and know how to say it. It will be hours well spent, interesting and wonderfully entertaining.
3.5 stars
This second book was fast-paced here Delta discovers more about her origins and just what she’s capable of she also grew some very pretty purple wings to match her cool hair.
Delta and her guardians also moved on to the next level of their relationship after she claimed them all further securing their bond together.
This one was super sexy with plenty of hot action and the innuendos and humour was abundant.
Delta still has an enemy gunning for her due to her new powerful status and this enemy wants to use her to steal power from Lucifer.
There was also a big bombshell dropped right at the end of this which will definitely shake things up for the next book in the series.

5 stars for Grave Consequences by Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy. This is book two in the Hellgate Guardians series. Delta and her harem of hot demons are back, and it starts right where book one left us. BEst line in a book of 2020 goes to Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy. “I’ll have to tell them all about Carole Baskin and see if they know where her husband is.” I mean come on , that is a great line. I was laughing so hard I had tears running down my face. Delta and her demons figure more out about who Delta is and who her parents are. I loved how we see growth in Delta during this book. All of the guys and Delta’s relationship has grown, and man is it steamy. Is it weird that I want my own demon right now?
Overall I think this story was OK, but with some editing and downsizing it could have been as great as book one. There were several things that happened in this book that I could have done without. There were filler events which added nothing to the overall plot. For example, Delta attends a party in Hell and proceeds to have a very embarrassing incident. That entire scene could have been cut and I wouldn’t have missed it at all. There were several things like that which could have been removed, which I think would have made the book read more smoothly. I found the beginning of the story fast and exciting but after a bit it started to drag. Some things were gone over in excruciating detail while other, seemingly more important things, were only partially touched on. Like I said earlier I liked the story as a whole and I feel like Delta and her demons got a good HEA… at least for now!
For every answer we get two more pop up in their place. We finally get some answers about Delta’s heritage and a few surprises tossed in along the way too. Delta is rolling with the punches more-or-less and far more gracefully than in the previous book throughout the story this time. We finally get to see the Nihil/Fallen/Abdicated in this installment and none are surpassed by Luce! I looove a good Lucifer character and this rendition is great for the bit we get to see him, though more is always appreciated . There’s some world building, new mythos all over the place, and some fluff to cut the tension of the storyline along with some hilarious scenes added in. Though both this and Grave Mistakes just’ve been cut down and combined into one book. This ends in a cliffhanger, but really it’s a series what do you expect?!
This is quickly becoming one of my new favorite series. I love the characters and how well they fit together and interact. There is so much laughter and growing love between them that I had a hard time putting the book down. I really enjoyed finding out what Delta really is and I can’t wait for more.
This story picks up right after book 1, Delta has fallen through the Nihil gate, and life is about to get even more strange 🙂 we find out more about who and what Dleta is and her role in keeping the balance. The steaminess gets hotter. I like that while Delta is fierce, she also still has vulnerabilities. Taz and NAFTA are interesting, and I really hope we see more of Luce in the next books 🙂
